The mild weather and long days make summer an ideal season to visit the remote lands above the Arctic Circle like Denmark’s Greenland and Norway’s Svalbard or Lofoten Islands. Scandinavia has varied climates but experiences four distinct seasons:
Spring
Spring is from March to May, when days warm gradually with temperatures ranging from 2°C to 15°C.
Summer
Summer is from June to August with mild to warm weather, long daylight hours and temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C.
Autumn
Autumn is from September to November with cool, crisp air and temperatures dropping from 15°C to 5°C.
Winter
Winter, from December to February, is cold, with snow common above the Arctic Circle Temperatures range from -15°C to 5°C depending on latitude.
