I would give this trip 10 out of 10 stars it was that great!! The staff and guides at Sebatana Lodge were absolutely fantastic. The safaris and meals were excellent. There isn't a negative thing I can say! Out of all the troops I have been on and all the countries I have visited this is the best experience I've had.
We loved the Trains of Switzerland tour. The places we visited were what we imagined through the Alps and then beautiful lakes. Breathtaking scenery from the trains. Some Iconic train trips and some on regular Swiss trains. Awesome travel group. Recommend. Our guide was well organised and very caring sorting any issues. More local knowledge and info would have definitely added to the trip.
We had an amazing trip, completely changed our perception of China. The tour guides were fabulous.( Jim in Beijing and Sunny in Shanghai) They were informative and had our best interests at heart, to make sure we had a good time. The itinerary was excellent and a great introduction to China. The accommodations provided were also great value, very comfortable rooms, and the breakfast buffets, were also excellent. Highlights include going out for dinner with some of our group and exploring the various cities we stayed at. Climbing the Great Wall of China and all of Shanghai. Every day was different. Things that could be improved; I was happy with everything. Will be recommending to all my friends
Loved the sights, the hotel were nice, our guide Hung was amazing. Halong bay was beautiful, boat was a little old but food was magnificent. Loved the caves there on morning. Lots of great sights.
We loved everything about the trip especially our guide Hazli and bus driver Eppy they made all the difference absolutely beautiful people. The coach trips were well organised and plenty of stops for toilets and shops, highly recommend trip a deal we have already booked our next trip.
Highlight was definitely the Great Wall and being on tour with a fantastic group of Australians. We shared lots of new experiences and laughs. China was a clean and beautiful country
Beijing guide Jerry was truly exceptional.
We recently returned from our TripADeal tour of China and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The trip was very well organised, and we felt looked after every step of the way. Our guides were excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, making the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. The Terracotta Warriors were absolutely awesome and lived up to all expectations. Standing in front of such an incredible piece of history was unforgettable. The Great Wall was another highlight and truly spectacular. We were fortunate to have great weather throughout our visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The itinerary included many interesting and varied sites, giving us a wonderful insight into China’s history, culture, and modern development. The hotels were comfortable and well located, providing a good place to relax after busy days of sightseeing. The daily breakfasts offered plenty of choice and were a great start to each day. Overall, this was an excellent tour that exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend TripADeal’s China tour to anyone wanting to experience the highlights of this fascinating country. The major high light was the choice of your Group Leaders. There were two group leaders Cloudio for the Switzerland and Davide for the Italy. Both the leaders were amazing! Our group included a quite elderly who needed a lot of help from these leaders, some times testing their patience! These leaders were extremely patient, kind, caring and always on time. There job was 24 hour job with these elderly group. Even after coming back to the hotel for the night they were on alert. I highly recommend Cloudio and Davide for your future trips.
This was an excellent tour of South Korea. The locals in South Korea are very friendly and courteous. The tour was well organised, the hotels were in central locations, and I enjoyed the amazing food, scenery, and their culture. The vibrant markets and historical sites added to the overall experience, making it truly unforgettable. Each day brought new adventures, from exploring ancient temples to tasting delicious food. The blend of modernity and tradition in South Korea is captivating. The guides Mimi and Jun were excellent, friendly, and always willing to help with dining options, convenience store locations, and any additional information that was required. Good memories!
Our tour guide in Hi Chi Minh (Betty) was excellent. Her communication both verbal & via whatsapp was first class, gave good info of what to expect in the coming day which made it easy to plan your day. The other 2 tour guides Hung & Tu were good but not as clear on the day to day activity.
The cruise ship was amazing, great food and entertainment
Awesome holiday. Such good value. Fabulous group of people. Great hotels although they were often a long way out.
The 3 guides we had were amazing and are a credit to the company. I can’t suggest any improvements.
Absolutely loved this trip. The guides Bill & Raymond were great! Warriors & Great Wall were definitely the highlights.
I loved the trip to China, It’s the first time I have used Trip a Deal and the first time ai have been on a tour group, was great meeting other people, I will book another tour down the track.
amazing natural beauty
It was a fabulous holiday. I cant say anything negative about it. The tour guides were great. Especially Amanda who greeted us on day one when we were very nervous, she settled our nerves and told us everything we needed to know. Sophie and Bruce were also great for the time they were our guides, and then Charlie looked after us for the last few days. He was very caring and gave us lots of information and kept us out of trouble. Highlights were of course the Great Wall, The Kungfu show, the cablecar and skywalk, all the temples, Shanghi night time cruise, the lake and canal tours. It was all great !
The tour guides were amazing - it was very fast pace at first.
The Silk Road was amazing. Guides were excellent
Fantastic trip!!! This is our first time doing a package type holiday, but it was far greater than we expected and delivered on so many levels. Great value and recommend it to anyone looking to travel.
Great first visit to China - Tina and Tommy were awesome guides. Well organised and very informative. Was pleasantly surprised with accomodation and China in general.
The Guide Phillip was excellent and he made it a memorable experience.
Top notch professional, caring tour guides and a buss load of travellers from all walks of life, that made this holiday one of the most enjoyable trips of my life. We started as a groups of individuals and returned as a family. Couldn't ask for more!
Morocco in particular especially the blue city, Fes and Marachech. The moorish architecture and learning of its history and culture from our guide. In Spain the Al Hambra. The colour, history and welcoming people on Portugal.
The tour had a comfortable but active pace. The guide “Richard” was fantastic. The accomodation was better than we expected. The tour visited where we wanted to go and the add ons worked for us.
We loved arriving early in Prague and taking our time seeing the sights. Loved our time in Vienna also as we had time to spend with our Son who lives there.
Well organised, great hotels and the tour guides we had Jinglebell and Serena were fantastic. For the price we paid can not fault anything and I’m encouraging all my family and friends to do this trip!
Great guides, wonderful way to see a snap of Vietnam! Wonderful friendly group of people to travel with😊
The tour guides Jack and Rogin were good and very knowledgeable. Thanks to the drivers as well especially Mr Lu.
The schedule was perfectly balanced. I saw so much. I felt safe and looked after the entire time. I had to buy another suitcase to fit in all my purchases.
Loved everything about where we went and where we stayed. Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and happy to help anyone who needed assistance. My only suggestion is perhaps some group bonding/getting to know you activities on the bus in the first couple of days.
We enjoyed this tour. It briefly covered much of Vietnam which is what we wanted to see. We travelled with a great group of people and were support by 3 excellent guides and drivers. Nguyen (Annie) Nguyen was an outstanding guide and ensured our time in central Vietnam will stay with us forever. We combined this tour with the Mountain Discovery tour which worked very well for us. Allowing us to see all of Vietnam in the one stay. Accommodation was better than expected for a budget holiday and with most attractions covered by the tour it was a very economical way to see Vietnam. We will definitely recommend and travel with Trip a Deal again.
This trip was awesome, very well planned. It also changed my perception of China and I was blown out my the cleanliness in every nook and corner. Even in the small towns the road and lanes were so clean, no litter at all. Other thing that impressed me was the greenery, the maintenance of all the gardens in and around cities, flowers everywhere and people were very friendly. I would like to mention our tour guides Melinda, Luna and Jojo. They gave us full support, made sure I get vegetarian food wherever I went and kept us entertained throughout. Wonderful experience and I've mentioned it to all my friends now. Thanks Trip a Deal. China is a really safe country as well.
Wonderful tour.
This was an amazing holiday !! Everything was very well organised with quality hotels and fantastic tour guide. The mountain scenery and roads were breath taking, it just went on day after day, which was much more than I expected. Phuoc (David) our guide for the trip went out of his way to make sure every member of the group had any specific needs met and was very knowledgeable on areas we travelled to, everything went very smoothly under his watch. We will definitely travel with Trip a Deal again.
I loved the whole trip! It was amazing! There were a lot of flights and wasted hours but is to be expected to get to all the places. Hotels were very nice and guides were very informative and helpful. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. This is our second trip a deal trip and both have been wonderful. Definitely would use trip a deal again!
The tour guides were informative and reponsible. Places visited are very nice. Optional tours mostly are very good. Places to visit for purchases all provided good experience
Very well organised. Steve was the best guide we’ve ever had…so knowledgeable, patient and organised. Good variety of excursions and optional tours to meet everyone’s needs. Did I mention that Steve was amazing?! 😉 He really was and we’d love to go on tour with him again in the future.
We have just returned from a trip a deal holiday - 12 days Warriors of China - and the entire trip was absolutely brilliant. Every destination we visited was fascinating, and our tour guide did an outstanding job explaining the history and significance of each location, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would like give a special praise to both Leo and Celery for the exceptional job they both did throughout the tour. They were always helpful, pleasant to deal with, and had a wonderful sense of humour, which added greatly to the enjoyment of the trip. The accomodation throughout the tour was of a very high standard. Each hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the amenities you need when travelling. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a visit to China and wanting to experience it's rich history, culture, and hospitality. It was a truly memorable journey.
The coach driver and guide were excellent. The places visited and scenery were fantastic. The trip was well organised and ran smoothley.
haven't got a lot of time but just want to say it was a great tour ... all 3 guides were excellent Johlie in Beijing; uumm forgotten her name in Xian and Vivian in Shanghai. Vivian was actually on her 2nd tour guide and she did a great job, especially having to deal with the two young adults who decided not to meet us at designated time and then got lost. The mother stayed behind to wait for the young adults; while Vivian organised for the remainder of the tour group to get on the bus and get us to our night river cruise. Johlie is Beijing was very experienced and excellent at showing us Beijing. Good job trip a deal. Highlights were Great Wall even though it rained; warriors, seeing a panda, Shanghai river cruise; and we were so surprised at the effort China puts into planting established size trees everywhere!
We loved Seoul, the boat cruise and Japan. I felt there could have been more warning that cash would be necessary in Japan ports. Also the ship only had US dollars and no Yen when it is cruising Japan. Other than that it was an excellent adventure
Everything was amazing. Couldn’t fault anything. All the tour guides were great. Would do another trip a deal again.
We enjoy everything.
The trip included numerous key sights and some amazing natural features. The guides were very good and well organised. Sometimes optional activities were not really optional - there were no viable alternatives. Also there were many steps to climb to get to a number of the sights - this proved difficult for older people or those who were physically incapacitated. More information about physical requirements should be included in the trip information.
Loved everything Highlights shanghi at night
Holiday was great. Accommodation was very good and hotel locations terrific. Inclusions on cruise were a bonus. Only improvement would be direct flights to and from Australia rather than having to transfer through Hong Kong both times.
Itinerary was good. Accommodation was generally good. Guides in Armenia and Georgia were excellent. Guide in Azerbaijan was OK but obviously it was just a part time job. Breakfast and dinner in Mestia was very repetitive and included things that nobody ate - eg plastic wrapped frankfurts. I would have been better for us to have had dinner in the town rather than at the hotel. Rcommendation below is 5 (high). No explanation of whether 1 is good or 5 is good!
The whole experience I could not fault. We were looked after from the beginning of the tour till the end. This was our first trip with Trip a Deal and would not hesitate to book another holiday with them.
We really enjoyed La Hong Bay Cruise, cooking class and Chu Chi Tunnels. The tour guides were all wonderful as well and Huy in Da Nang was amazing as he knew so much about our customs and gave us alot of interesting information about the culture and history of Vietnam.
It is really worthy. All were good. Guides both Adam and Henry were very helpful and friendly. I will give 5 stars to them. First night we reached hotel at midnight. And next day tour started at 8am. We walked around 12 km. It was hot. No lunch break was given. Everyone was exhausted. But early dinner with Mongolian family removed our tiredness and it was a wonderful dinner. From 2nd day all went good. Thanks to tripadeal for offering such a great tour in a such a low cost.
An absolutely fantastic time. The guides were excellent, made feel extremely safe and catered for your every need (including a surprise birthday cake for one of our travellers!). The buses were clean and comfortable, drivers friendly and helpful. The locations were amazing for an introductory trip to China however the tour didn't seem to take you to the best parts of the towns. The best times we had were exploring the town centres (ancient towns) at each location but this was off the tour in our "free time". We explored these exquisitely lit up, gorgeous little towns and experiences the best food in these areas. The tour takes you to hotels on the outskirts of town (which is great and budget friendly) however the travellers that just stayed at the hotel in the arvos and night or went to the malls the guides recommended next door found the tour to be lacking in culture and authenticity. The travellers that went exploring in the arvos/nights on their own found the trip so much more enjoyable and enlightening. Perhaps something for TaD to look into. Us tourists want to see the cute little towns and ancient town centres not just a big shopping mall like we can find anywhere in the world.
Treasures of China’s Silk Road is very varied from Urumqi in the far west of China with the Heavenly Lake through arid desert country of the Gobi Desert and ending at Xi’an a city of 13 million people. The Rainbow Mountains, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, climbing the Western end of the Great Wall, boat trip on Yellow River to Bingling Buddha Caves were all standout moments. Our guides in Xinjiang and Xi’an were both excellent with good English. Our guide in Gansu (Peter) was good - however his English was very hard to understand. We had Peter for 7 days so much of his information was lost due to his poor English diction. He did speak a fair bit in Chinese to the travellers with Chinese background - so they probably enjoyed him. We found Sophie our guide in Xi’an a breath of fresh air as we could understand her. Hotels and meals included were good. Loved the Bullet train.
Itinerary was great and suited the climate. It was interesting and towards the end of the trip there was some time to chill and relax. The day to day information and forward planning could have been more streamlined by providing information via the group whats app especially when not all did the same group activities.
Knowledgeable guide comfortable coach, nice people to travel with. Hotel Conrad location in Cairo was very isolated and it ment that you had to only stay in the hotel. Also I sent the hotel a request to see if somebody had handed in my mobile phone which I have lost and so far they have not replied to my email.
Love everything that TripADeal put together. It was a wonderful experience, led by experienced tour guides Bill-Beijing, Lily-Xian and Lili-Suzhuo, Hangzhuo and Shanghai. We had a group of 41 and we got along really well. Memories of our trip will stay for a long time even though we have departed China. Looking forward to join another tour with TripADeal.
Japan in Depth gave us the opportunity to see many of Japan’s picturesque landscapes. The delicious food, great travel group and mostly good hotels made our 25 day trip memorable. Our tour guide Richard was knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help. Our bus driver Mr Whoo made an effort to converse with us and ensured we got to our destinations safely. I recommend Japan in Depth for those who want to see a lot of Japan. June Rogan
Highlights was Celebrity Millennium cruise ship, looked after you a treat couldn’t fault them. The free bus off the boat every port day into town and back was a huge relief to passengers who didn’t book a trip for the day. The down side was probably getting into South Korea late at night and not getting to hotel till after midnight.
Was a little worried about travelling to China mainly because of the amount of people but once I arrived and saw how easy Tripadeal got us through the lines and all the activities I just fell in love with the place Now wish I did a longer tour and saw more, hopefully I will get back there again sometime Loved seeing the Great Wall, Pandas, Warriors and Shanghai We picked a good time to go weather wise was hot and humid and places but was lovely to be warm Tour guides especially King and Joe were excellent, very knowledgable and keep us well informed and looked after all the group needs
Everything ran smoothly and was well organised. Our tour guides were great. The people in our group were a delight. Our hotels were terrific with lovely big rooms, clean and comfy beds and the breakfast buffets were a great start to the day. A couple of the reorganised shop excursions (silk factory and jade) could have been missed but all the other extra excursions were great. A highlight was the cruise on the Yangtze River and the places we were taken too - highly recommended!
Good hotels, great tour guides, and places to visit. Efficient an friendly.
Fabulous experience with an excellent guide - Ms Flora Lee. Flora was so organised and informative. Everything went smoothly. A great bunch of travellers in a small group (20) . I learnt so much about the country and the people. Flora’s knowledge was quite amazing and made the trip so enjoyable.
A must do trip to Japan, represents great value, seeing all the key sights
City Tour was good. Great way to get the lay of the city. Table Mountain was awesome. Being able to access it is very weather dependant (Can change by the hour) so booking too far ahead is not advised. Wine tour was OK, advise visiting only 2 wineries. If you visit 3 it greatly reduces the time you can spend in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek which are both worth a look. Mokoro trip in the Okavango delta with a local polar was a highlight, but it's a long day. 3 hours in a canoe, 2 hour walk and 3 hours in the back of open Ute. Thamalakane River Lodge The staff here were extremely friendly. The Babbler Chalets are fairly basic. No air conditioning and en-suite toilet is one metre away from bed head with no door between. Maun Airport for Kasane Airport. All transfers worked well but border crossings from Botswana to Zimbabwe early morning or late afternoon can be quite lengthy. 2 Plus hours. The trip from border to Victoria Falls is another 2 hours in mini bus. There was no time to relax by the pool as per itinerary. Our itinerary changed and we did falls tour/ river cruise the next day and then transferred back to Chobe the following. We felt this was much better because we got a days break from all the required travel. Change of itinerary communication was poorly handled in this instance as we had 2 conflicting written communications from the tour people. Hotel staff in Victoria Falls were very helpful with this once we realised and notified them we had conflicting itineraries. Chobe National Park, day was fantastic, but it's a huge day. 2 hrs to border, cross border another 1 to 2 hours, 3 hour river cruise, lunch, 3 hour safari in the back of ute and then return trip to border, cross border and another 1 to 2 hours and then 2 hour drive back to Victoria Falls. We saw the biggest number of animals here but sadly no lions, leopards or rhinos. I've read in the feedback from others and totally agree that the Chobe day should follow directly after the Maun Airport for Kasane Airport transfer day. One or two night accommodation in Chobe would reduce approx 16 hours of travel to and fro and multiple associated border crossings. Interesting to note that the hotel we had lunch at on the Chobe day was from the same chain as the hotel in Victoria Falls. I can only assume this was driven by cost cutting for one or two night's accommodation, but to be honest all this unnecessary travel certainly detracted from the total enjoyment of the tour. Victoria Falls - Hwange National Park transfer was a total stuff up. Our itinerary stated a 11am pick up. Transfer company arrived at 9am. Because we missed the 9am pick we were forced to sit in the mini bus by the side of the road at the point where you transfer from the mini bus to the ute for more than an hour. On reaching Robins camp we we meet by the most unfriendly person (the receptionist) for the whole tour and told we each had to pay an extra USD $140 because we missed our pick up time. This particular person remained unfriendly towards us for our entire stay at Robins camp. The manger here was able to let us know we would not be charged this extra amount 2 days later! The Chalets at Robins camp are fairly basic also, similar to Thamalakane River Lodge. Hwange National Park - Morning & Evening Game Drives are 3 hours each in duration so it's a lot of sitting in the back of an open ute. The neck (scarves/socks) that you can buy in Australia were a lifesaver. Warm in the mornings, kept the sun off your face in the afternoons and kept the dust out for both. The game drives were fantastic less numbers of animals than Chobe but far less people also. We had the same guide for all 5 game drives and it was nice to be able to develop a relationship with him. His local knowledge was amazing. We found we saw most animals on the afternoon drives and in hindsight should have done more morning walks (which we found out was an option) than drives. We had 4 nights at Robins camp and 3 would have been enough. Transfers in and out of Robins camp were over 2 hours each way on dusty dirt roads in the back of a ute and then a mini bus ride. It would have been nice to be given the heads up prior. Flights to Johannesburg and hotel in Johannesburg were fine. Flights to Singapore and hotel in Singapore were very good. Pick up at Singapore airport was waiting at the wrong terminal so this caused some delays. the return pick up to the Singapore airport also needed us to sort out. Overall we had a good time but felt the organisation of the tour left a lot to be desired. We were lead to believe that we would have a Tour Leader and were never told we would not! (An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop) If we had of had a Tour Leader I'm sure most of our issues would not have occured.
We appreciated our guides, transfers and the excellent accommodation. The tour options were good as well. We couldn't book our seats on the flights so we had poorer options, although we thought China Eastern was a good carrier. We disliked the sales tactics at some of the factory outlets, which turned us off buying from them. We have travelled a lot but were amazed at the enormity and modernity of everything in China. We are very glad we went!
Well organised. Always felt safe. Very luxurious accommodation. Buses and drivers were excellent. Tour guide friendly knowledgeable and English speaking locals. Easy to travel to reach destination and entry into each site or event.
Loved the safari and the tent accommodation. Getting to see the big 5 animals was fantastic. All our accommodation was great. The driving from Johannesburg to Kruger and back was long which would not have been quite so bad if the bus had a bit more room in it . 12 people was a great size group. Overall very happy with our first TripADeal holiday.
Loved the tour guide Flora. Very knowledgeable and kept a good grasp on the group. The temples and sightseeing were great. The inclusions - awesome. Didn’t always follloe the program but saw all of it. Plenty of free time to explore on my own. Would have loved to go on the sky capsules in Busan - not included and we’re all booked out.
We loved the itinerary and our guide, Ahmed was fabulous. He gave us lots of information with knowledge and humour, rearranging the program to give us a great experience. We understand that hotels on the outskirts of town are cheaper and usually that's fine. The istanbul hotel was just way too far and not a good representation of Türkiye, finding something in town for a similar price would surely be possible with the group buying power. Brilliant tour overall, thanks
Extremely smooth. on ground staff were great. Any suggestion for improvement would be nit-picking. Lovely tour, lovely people, great guides
Our recent TripADeal tour of Japan was made truly memorable thanks to Steve and our wonderful driver. Steve was everything you hope for in a guide — organised, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. He brought each destination to life with stories, history, and gentle humour. Our driver was equally exceptional. Calm, skilled and always so courteous, he made every journey feel safe and comfortable, even through busy cities and winding mountain roads. Some of the highlights of our trip included visiting the peaceful deer of Nara Park, standing before the magnificent Great Buddha at Tōdai‑ji, wandering the charming streets leading up to Kiyomizu‑dera, exploring the beauty of Kyoto’s temples, and enjoying the energy of Osaka. Each moment felt richer because of the care and professionalism of both Steve and our driver. We are so grateful for the experience they created for us — a trip filled with culture, beauty, and memories we’ll treasure.
Loved the location (only 15mins from airport) in the Maldives - relaxing vibe, friendly hospitality and reception staff. Great to have inclusive meals, beverages, and transfers. Improvements: flight and departure times were not ideal. Definitely could have been timed more effectively.
Loved it all. Highlights Great Wall of China, the Bullet train, the Family Home experience & the night Acrobatic show-that was Epic. Hated the airport experince. When we got to Shenzhou. So stressful. No one knew what to do. No one there to help. A man finally came out & help us fill out the forms on the screen. Apart from that. Loved it Thank you so much
Loved the overwater villa, with private pool and jacuzzi. Great touch by staff for decorating bed for a special occasion, the floating breakfast was a great addition included in price. We thought that the total inclusive meant everything so was taken back when for lobster etc at seafood restaurant would have more charges. Apart from that we totally loved our trip , well organised, everything went as per TripADeal communication. Would recommend to anyone. Also Japanese restaurant was so good .
Absolutely loved this trip. Every aspect was so well thought out. We went to some incredible places and I am so grateful for the experience. Alan our tour guide was exceptional and catered to everyone’s needs. Nothing was a problem. His knowledge and commentary on the numerous places we visited was truly amazing. He is an absolute asset to your company. David our second tour guide was also fantastic catering to everyone’s individual needs. I really can’t fault any part of this incredible holiday and I will be recommending your company to everyone.
I loved every aspect of this holiday. It was a small group which was perfect. Our tour guide Flora was amazing. She was knowledgeable about the history of Korea and the culture. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable and show us the beauty of her country. The places we visited were amazing especially Jeju Isand. Highly recommend a longer stay on Jeju island to see the waterfalls unfortunately we couldn’t as the tour was only one day 2 nights.
Loved all the views of mountains topped with snow in late May to early June. Canada is full of different shades of green trees. We didn't see any wild bears but saw 2 bears in the Canada part of Calgary Zoo. Enjoyed seeing and walking on the glacier. Done the Jasper optional trip and went on the Ice Explorer, well worth it. The Rocky Mountaineer done silver. Great food and drinks were served loads of trees and saw magnificent mountains. Boarding the Koningham was easy. Just call a cab and you are taken directly to where you place your bags for handling onto the ship. Print your labels and fold at home, take sticky tape or stapler to attach labels. We had a wonderful cruise done our own thing. Went to 2 restaurants Rudis and The Pinnacle food already paid for so you just pay drinks & cover charge & whatever tip you want to leave. We just paid for drinks as we went as we don't drink a lot. Had latte and hot choc at the Dutch Cafe. Went to Lido mostly for lunch and dinner. Also Dining Room for dinner especially on Orange Party night then on to the Blues for dancing. Room Service for Breakfast every morning except the last morning. Great flight back long but Canada Air looked after us.
Fantastic tour guides. Friendly, knowledgeable, and determined when necessary ie getting us of replacement flights if normal flights cancelled. Thanks to Jerry, Tina and Michelle. Great to miss the long lines at events and exhibitions with guides getting us ahead of the crowds.
Amazing holiday. Excellent tour leader and driver.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time on this holiday. It was a great balance of adventure and luxury. We enjoyed seeing all the animals during the first few days of the tour. The war memorial visits were also very moving and memorable. All the accommodation was very good, though the hotel in Sandakan could probably be of a slightly higher standard. A slight comment would be to maybe just do two river cruises while staying at the Borneo Nature Lodge. Three just seemed a little excessive.... Our guide Clay was really great. Knowledgeable, well organised and lots of fun. He kept us on track and entertained the whole time. Our driver was also very good.
Our tour guides Nina from Beijing and Jack from Shanghai were not only fun and organized, but they shared information about local day to day life - so you got a good feeling for the regular population's life in China. For me, the highlights were the climbing (part of!) the Great Wall, experiencing the vastness of the Terracotta Warriors and culture and excitement of Shanghai - walking the Bund, going up the Jimao Tower - rounded out with the fantastic Hangpu River Night Course.
Well-organised trip with great inclusions and fabulous guides
Our guides in Beijing and Shanghai were top class (Nina and Jack) very knowledgeable, helpful and fun to be with. China was better than expected and we will return to see the other highlights
I loved this tour to Borneo, the country is so beautiful along will the people. We had a very interesting tour guide in Dani, who also made it very informative. Loved all the wildlife and the plant life. The only thing that I wouldn’t go to again was the Manukan Island, as here in Australia we have very beautiful beaches and this was a not a very clean beach, but worth seeing anyway.
The tour was much better than expected with the history of Beijing and the Great Wall and the architecture and lights of Shanghai. The tour guides, Alan and David, were very informative and helpful. The tour group was also a lot of fun. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone.
It was excellent trip with an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and a delight to travel with Some of the accomodation was a little basic . The hotel in Sandekan had hot water issues constantly.
Our tour guide Lori was amazing. Her local knowledge was great, and if we asked a question which she didn't know, she always found an answer for us.
Several days in each location was a great idea. Lets you collect yourself and not a mad rush all the time. Loved the animals, birds and wildlife, and the war information about the death march was quite interesting.
Loved the jungle stay and river cruises. It was just the right amount of time. Loved the end at Kota Kinabalu and stay in Hilton. Food was mostly good except for the hotel in Mt Kinabalu. The beds were rock hard and dinner and breakfast were sub-standard. Hotel in Sandakan was more like a hostel but but ok. Overall the trip was fabulous. Guide and driver were professional, friendly and helpful.
Great itinerary. Kantaro is a knowledgeable and attentive guide, and Bob skilled bus driver, well-chosen hotel locations and overall excellent value for money. While I would have preferred a smaller tour group, and 1-2 overnight stays in places where we could absorb some village or countryside character, I realise that the inner city hotels offer considerable flexibility for travellers to explore and find places to eat.
Excellent well organised tour with wonderful guides. My only suggestion, is the inability to access flight information and change seating prior to flights departure.
Our tour guide Dominic was fantastic, very informative did all he could to make our trip memorable. Accomodation was good, meals were excellent and plenty of food. Tours were great, only thing was bus needed a toilet as public toilets were average.
Our tour guide Claudio was fabulous at communicating instructions and keeping us informed. Two of the hotels were terrible & less than basic. Hotel Alexander Zürich & The Guest house Interlaken - do not send your clients there. They are way below any standard. We loved the excursions planned, especially the Matterhorn.
I give 5 stars for our 5 star China and Yangtze Cruise holiday in every category
Our trip was amazing. Our first tour guide Robin was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, always ready to please. Our second tour guide John Hu was just as knowledgeable and despite having some difficult travellers in our group he was very professional to keep the tour as pleasant as possible for the rest of us that didn’t complain. We were extremely surprised with China, so clean and advanced.
Really enjoyed the river lodge and cruising on the river. Good variety of locations on the trip. I liked that the trip started with the lower star accomodation ( with extremely hard beds) and that with each new location the accomodation improved. Breakfast could not be faulted at each location.
Loved every minute of our trip. Our guide Clay was amazing. So many highlights but I think my favourites were the mari mari cultural village and the Borneo Nature village. We learnt and saw so much on the river cruises. Accommodation and meals were fantastic
One "WOW" moment after another! Our Guide had a wealth of Egyptian knowledge and took us on a fantastic journey from the pyramids of Cairo to the Oasis city of Sewa where we swam in salt lakes and Cleopatra's pool. We travelled from there to Alexandria to see the amazing Catacombs then to Aswan for 3 nights cruising down to visit the Valley of the Kings which was an absolute highlight. We then spent 3 nights at an all-inclusive resort on the Red Sea! A truly fantastic holiday.
