Beijing and Shanghai were the highlights. Maybe no do spend too much time on the bus trying to takes us places to spend money instead organise more tours around the city like Museums or life music in an authentic bar. I felt I was only there to be sold something. instead of experience more culture.
It was very good deal, every moment enjoyed
The tour began badly with our Juneyao plane breaking down in Sydney. It meant we missed 2 days of the Beijing section of the tour and also rushed while there. Many older members became worn out with the long days early on. The trip a deal guides were friendly and helpful. There were many highlights and the commercial visits were interesting even if nothing was purchased. The tour was well organised and our accommodation of a high standard, though often far from the final daily event.
We had a great holiday / adventure, a few key areas: 1) our guide was excellent 2) the accommodation was comfortable 3) The food was great 4) The tours were good, we enjoyed the wildlife. We felt there could have been more talks by guides of the sanctuary’s we visited to learn more on the orangutan’s and sun bears. 5) The groups were quite big 6) Great value for money
I loved the whole adventure. I would highly recommend Trip a Deal to anyone. It was so organised and stress free. This was my first time to Vietnam and what a beautiful country it is. The accommodation was all good-clean and well managed. A couple of the rooms were very small but still nice. I would have liked to have had a market or two incorporated into the day trips, although we did do them by ourselves in our free time. The group of people we were with were all fantastic. Thank you so much for a wonderful carefree holiday…..you do a fantastic job. Kindest regards, Debra Pickering
Trip overall was really good. Enjoyed the safaris and small group size. The tour guide Eric was a let down, he didn’t communicate well at all Itinerary could hav had less hotel one, felt like locations focused on hotel instead of staying in bigger cities
Good experience with good guides great food and good group of people. The boat on the Mekong River was a little worn but the staff were great as like food, Not much more to say and would recommend to anyone looking for a good holiday.
Loved everything destination, guides, tours, hotels all were well above what we expected, my only room for improvement would be some of the hotel locations, some were abit far away from restaurants/ cafes but all in all its a big thumbs up👍👍👍
Safari tours were excellent with Botswana Being the highlight. Please add Robben island as an option. We done this on the free day in Cape Town and was fantastic. Although the other tours were great, they were way overpriced for what they were. The bus trip to Johannesburg was horrific. On a small uncomfortable bus for 7 hours really set the mood back of the trip. In fact still havent understood why we went there and didn't jusy fly to Vic falls. Absoulote wasted day! The accommodation was 3 star at best all trip. All in all it was a good holiday but certainly not a value for money trip.
The coach could have been more comfortable (the leg room was too tight, the fold down middle seats were hazardous causing lots of bruises) and the windows were not cleaned (makes it hard to take photos). We loved the free time available for individual explorations. Only one drop off to the airport was inadequate, especially considering significant difference in departure flights. The location of the last 2 hotels was too far away from the central attractions. The scenery was wonderful, the rope bridge was one of the highlights, and the Ritsurin garden was just beautiful and peaceful. Overall a very nice trip for us.
Well organised and supported by the guides. All three were awesome. Happy to help with any queries, issues. Especially the north (Anh)and south guide. (Nick). Variety of experiences, from craziness of the cities to Hoi An to the villages and rice fields in the countryside.
Tour guides were excellent - King in Beijing and Lil Lu in Shanghai (Fay Fay for the Wuxi lakes tours). Optional tours were great - the "home cooked" meal was a highlight / The nighttime cruise of Shangai / The ERA performance. Better information on the shopping options would have been helpful. Would also be great if the trip to the AP Plaza underground shops earlier in the tour - to allow time for packing of items bought - plus perhaps time to get clothes tailor made. RE: the original delay with the cancelled Juneyao flight from Sydney - I think TripADeal should communicate better with the tour members. It certainly was appreciated that King the guide and TAD rearranged the itinerary so we didnt miss out on the main things. Although it was really disappointing to only get one night at the Hot Springs Hotel. The accommodation was excellent - except for the last hotel in Shanghai - the towels were threadbare and the food was not as good as the previous hotels. I expected more from a Marriot.
The hotels were amazing, overall the tour guides were great. It would have been nice to have more time in some of the places we officially went to on the itinerary to stop and do some shopping, we were very rushed on some of those. I also think there should be an option to fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap instead of bus for 6 hours.
Vietnam 2:1 Mountain Discovery tour Loved our guide Donnie. The scenery on the trip was amazing. Photos just can’t capture the sheer beauty of the mountains. Our driver was also very professional as some of the twists and turns along Ha Giang loop looked hair raising but he calmly achieved each one. The meals and choices of restaurants were fabulous. I have severe food allergies but all the meals organised by Donnie he made sure were suitable for me to eat. I certainly did not go hungry. The hotels were pleasant and clean. I was unable to do quite a few of the activities as there were too many steps/stairs which was disappointing as I was under the impression that only one activity would be unachievable for me, but Donnie and my fellow group members really helped me whenever I struggled. The buses have a very high first step into them and a number of passengers couldn’t get in without help. A step was sourced for the main bus trip and also the trip to Halong Bay which made it easier. My travel friend and I are already looking to book our next trip with TripADeal.
Absolutely loved Ha Long Bay overnight boat stay & our impromptu dance party with our whole group aged from 19 to 82. Impressed with the quality of accommodation venues. Guides were engaging and informative..
I loved both Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The highlights were Sigiria and Nuwara Eliya -, especially the additional Norton Plains walk. The whole Sri Lankan airlines flights were extremely disappointing, especially the group booking made by TripA Deal. This made it almost impossible to notify the airlines of dietary requirements (an essential for us) and very upsettingly we were not sitting together on the long flight, in fact 26 rows apart! Neither Trip a Deal or Sri Lankan airlines were willing to assist to rectify any of these issues and in the end it spoilt an otherwise good holiday. We will not book again nor recommend Trip a Deal due to this major issue. In addition the tipping was not transparent and over excessive for the service we received, having the $10/day each. He only actually was with us for 8 days but stated it was a 10 day tour so expected tipping for 10 days. In addition we were asked for another $30 each that the tour guide said he used for bottled water and toilet tipping. We believe that times by 18 people he made additional pocketed money for himself. We have never been on a tour where we had to pay for water on the bus, especially as we booked the luxury tour! We also had to tip both the tour assistant and the bus driver (who incidentally both deserved it). Tipping should not be dictated by the people receiving the tip but rather we should decided based on the service and experience we had at the time. The Grand Kandyan Hotel in Kandy was not 5 star, and very sub-standard with poor restaurant service, a terrible room with blocked basin sink (had to get maintenance to the room twice and still was not resolved), a balcony door that did not close and was chained together!! And we had two single beds when we specially stated double on our booking. Very disappointing all around. Other accommodation was good especially loved the rooms, ambience and amazing bar staff at the Jetwing St. Andrew's Hotel. The Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, Overwater Bungalow was above our expectations and there was nothing disappointing with this fabulous place. Staff, pool, bungalow, cleanliness, food, drinks and spa were exceptional. Could not fault anything, although the hour and half speed boat ride to get there is hectic and we would have caught a sea plane if give the option. Disappointingly we did not experience Negombo at all as it was a late night arrival and early morning start. Also needed another day in Colombo. Although the tour guide was pleasant he was not flexible and rarely suggested place to go during free time. We also didn't stop at many sites for photo opportunities such as the famous train in Ella which we didn't see.
Cathy and I absolutely loved our Vietnam/Cambodia discovery trip!! Hotels were great, tour guides were awesome and the meals were fantastic. Hard to find any faults really. We made some nice friends that we will hopefully have a reunion with. One thing I could suggest is including a couple of nights in a beachfront hotel in Da Nang on the way to Hoi An. The beach looked amazing from the bus on the way to the airport. Thanks Trip a Deal. We are looking at China for next year!!
Firstly, our tour guide Clay was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable and so passionate about what he does. He was a pleasure to be with. Our driver Popei was fantastic as well. Hotel selection was very good. The first hotel in Sandakan could have been better and the food selection for breakfast was not very good but all other hotels were fabulous finishing at the Hilton and then onto the Shangri-La was lovely. The excursions every day was just enough. You didn’t feel rushed and the other travellers were lovely. The tour was at a nice pace and it was great going with other Australians and getting to meet new people. All in all, it was a fantastic trip and one I would highly recommend to family and friends. Thank you.
Guides and drivers were fabulous. Hotels very comfortable; staff very friendly.
We have many highlights of our trip. There was so much to see in Peru. It exceeded expectations. All accommodation was good and very well located. It was great to visit all the major attractions in the countries. We visited Machu Puchu and Iguazo Falls which were absolutely fascinating! The Amazon was beautiful. Our tour guide in Peru Oscar was outstanding!! He was so professional, organised, friendly and we all loved him and wished he would stay with us during the whole tour. We loved the overall tour and would recommend it to everyone.
Canada Airlines is a very budget/average carrier with old planes and with poor seating and food options. Accommodation was ok but needs to have breakfast as part of the package understanding that it would increase cost.
This holiday was a great cross section between urban and rural environments. The iconic tourist attractions were very crowded but still worth visiting. Access to markets and shops was good. There was a good balance of organised activities and free time !!
i loved the ski resorts in Canada especially Whistler. It gave me a sense of the ski resorts in Europe with its architecture and set up. Our guide Julie was also helpful in coordinating the group as efficient as possible between accommodations and she also explained the surroundings as we were travelling between stops. Areas for improvement would be to incorporate more history relating to the indigenous people of the country and how white settlement interrupted their culture and lifestyle.
Peru was wonderful. Our guide Oscar was superb 10 plus all other guides were average or okay, some not so much. Iguana falls to die for. Accomodation okay latam airline little communication on flight delay and confusion with communication. Lost luggage on return to Australia
Our tour guide Lori was fantastic. She explained absolutely every question that was asked and she is extremely passionate about her country. Which in turn makes us love the country. However the seats on the airplane with air Canada were so uncomfortable, we ended up having to go to hospital to receive treatment for my husbands back. Also the accomodation would be great if we could have had kitchen facilities. Only because take away all the time isn’t great
The whole itinerary was amazing and allowed us to see so much of the Canadian Rockies, and small town Canada. Our tour guide Lori was the best as was driver Thomas. Lori was knowledgeable and told us so much about the history and customs of the area. A suggestion would be to have breakfast included in the deal, even though it would make the trip a little more expensive.
Our tour guide April and coach captain Dave both delivered a real commitment to ensure we all had a wonderful trip through Yellowstone and the Rockies. The cruise of the inside passage was faultless. The only downside was such a long wait in Vancouver to fly home.
I loved the fact that it was a small amount of people on the boat, therefore it was very socially comfortable everyone very friendly, just think the boat need a little bit of TLC, maybe the furniture The Regency Angkor Hotel Siem Reap was absolutely amazing would highly recommend this place to anyone 5 stars to this hotel
I loved getting everything included.. ie.. airfares, transfers, tour with guides. I didn't like that my flights were changed to arrive after the tour had started but did like that once I talked to TripADeal staff it was soon sorted and I arrived a day earlier, instead.
The guide, assistant and bus driver where excellent and made a holiday more enjoyable and we felt very safe. Excursion good. Would have like to have an option of a train ride through the country mountains, which other tour companies offered. I would recommend to always upgrade accommodation. I did not like the flight group booking as my partner and i where in different seats. Sri Lanka Airlines where very helpful to resolve this issue. I would definitely fly with Sri Lanka airline again.
The itinerary was excellent and guide is tremendously informative, Semhi was very helpful. I would change the flight home from Cappadocia a waste of day and 15 kg limit caught a lot people out on extra cost .The bus heads back to Istanbul and would liked to see the capital on the way home . Many highlights on this trip it’s a bucket list vacation.
Loved the Rockies and Heather our tour guide was amazing taking us to beautiful spots for picnic lunches was special. Also could not fault Holland America food great and lots of activities offered.
The food was great. People were lovely. Our tour guide was fantastic, he had a lot of knowledge and was funny. He really wanted to make sure that we had a good time. The accommodation was great, however at the Chalcedony the showers were in bath tubs which were very deep which made it very difficult to get in and out of. The cruise on Halong bay was a highlight but the amount of stairs we had to climb to get to the cave was way too much. It caused my feet to swell, which then turned into an infection. A procedure to deal with medical issues could be a good idea eg someone u can call. Overall we had a great time and the tour guide was one of the best. Thanks.
First week was amazing, very well organised. Our tour guide was wonderful. She went above and beyond. Bus driver was also was great. They made it even better than it already was . The hotels were comfortable and clean. Hit all the marks with sight seeing and experiences . Second part being the ship . Every thing was fine on the ship but it wasn’t as good as the first half of trip . Think it’s more of a personal preference. Didn’t love the days on the boat. Good and room on ship was comfortable, can’t complain . The only thing I would say is the stops . When we went to do what was meant to be our biggest high light of trip it was canceled but wasn’t informed until we hopped off ship . It was a helicopter ride on a glacier with dog sledding . We were lucky enough that we managed to organise it on our own however many people missed out including some of the people in our travel group. Did not think this was organised properly. Understand that safety comes first but communication would off been nice and maybe a different tour to be offered as many where left not doing anything.last shop on our ship tour was a bit of a let down as well . There wasn’t much on offer as far as tours . Loved the glacier bay so made it all worthwhile. Trip home was not great ,when we arrived at airport and got tickets we where all seated separately.there was many people we new from our tour and they where all the same not just our group. We were a party of 5 people and were all seated in different parts of plan . Ok if it’s just a short flight but being so long. There wasn’t much a lot of I’m happy people from our tour.A shame as it was a good trip and that’s the last thing and that’s what you remember. I would definitely travel with trip a deal again. Really can’t complain overall. First week was the most amazing. Ship maybe I’m just not a ship person but still it was great. Only thing there was if there’s cancellations on tour it would be nice to be informed and given a chance to go on another . It really was a shame flight home . If you book together you should be put on plane together.
We loved the cruise and Yellowstone but it is a very long way between towns just sitting on the bus there could be some interesting stops instead of stopping at service stations and Walmarts.
Beautiful scenery, good service, comfortable accommodation Stops at shopping centres longer than required Whistler accommodation type meant that 50% rooms were very small with no amenities (Kitchen, lounge, washing machine etc) - the other rooms were basically self contained unit. this is unfair as we all paid the same price for accommodation There was some confusion about which buses we were on - we were told red in an email, blue in the letter at the hotel and red again by the tour guide. Another couple was told yellow instead of red and ended up on the wrong bus while we waited for an hour and half at the beginning of the trip while our tour guide looked for them - better communication between the tour guides would have helped
Very well organised Insights from our local guide Arch Accommodation overall great, hotel in Galle was sub optimal - poor service and food/drink quality
Sujee our guide, Sanna our driver and Kenneth our assistant were excellent. Loved finding the elephants and the leopard. Loved the tra plantation. High tea was also good. Great group. When we went to the nine arch bridge, Sujee got us up early so we could arrive when the train was going over the bridge which was fabulous and his panning was impeccable. When we arrived to take the tuk tusk to the bridge they were all there ready and waiting and it was like a whole heap of Mario go kart getting to the bridge - just brilliant and so much fun! Things we didn't like quite so much - we weren't happy with our hotel room allocation. The disparity between rooms was vast and In most instances we had an inferior room to our travelling companions eg 4 floors lower than everyone else so not a very good view or miles away and again a limited view if any. In one case we had a standard double room on a lower floor while MANY of our companions has palaces with kitchen, dining room for 6, 3 toilets, washing machine and dryer! Could be because our name starts with W and therefore las ton the list but really not good enough and very unfair. In regards to the time spent in each place we felt we had very little time in Kandalama - didn't even get a chance to get in the pool but towards the end of our trip we had 3 nights in Galle when we really only needed 2 and 1 night in Colombo which we felt we didn't need at all. We had a great driving tour of the city and then could have gone to the hotel for a half day before flying out at midnight instead of having another whole day there and having to pay for an extension on the room as otherwise we would have had 8 hours between checking out and getting the bus to the airport. Might have been nice to have extra time in the hight country/tea plantations/Horton Plains. There was one activity that could/should have been planned at a different time of day. When we climbed the lion fort it was right in the middle of the day and it was soooo hot - not a good idea especially given the average age of our group. But this is just feedback for improvement. We had a great time. Thank you.
Loved everything about this holiday It was a 10 out of 10 experience.we will never forget.
The cruise on the Mekong could not be faulted. The crew on board were fabulous, food was plentiful and a wide variety, with wonderful staff like Phany, Phy and Sreyanin who went out of their way to please. However, lots of dangerous steps could have caused injury to older travellers. Two of our fellow travellers were injured at the hotel and were repatriated to Singapore and then home due to broken limbs. Ho Chi Minh, too crowded, noisy and dirty and a very rushed itinerary- only enjoyed the Cu Chi tunnels. Hoi An was great however, more time could be spent in Hoi An or even Da Nang and Hanoi and Halong Bay, as these areas were a bit rushed. I would have loved to have visited a rice farm, to see how rice is grown. Too many temples seen. The guides Sam and Kung for Cambodia were great. In Vietnam our guide Bang Bang was good but Sam (Johnny) was very hard to understand as his English was still developing and he lacked the drive and personality that other guides had. Our guide in Hoi An, Mai Dung (Beauty) was also great, with excellent English and a helpful attitude. Our last guide from Hanoi, Son, appeared disinterested in us, was less helpful and seemed to require complete attention when talking to us. He was quite condescending and at times arrogant and many of the travellers disliked him. He was less approachable and always on his phone when not engaged with travellers. On the whole though the guides saw us to and from airports, dealt with the locals and offered us extra nights out, which were not on the itinerary. Some outings were a bit pricey but enjoyable. Travellers need to be aware that the US dollar is really not accepted in Cambodia and Hoi An. The VND ( dong) was preferred. The accommodation was good everywhere except for the first time we stayed at May De ville Corner Hotel, where we were given a corner room, which was small. Nowhere for suit cases and the bed up against the wall which meant I had to crawl across my husband to get into bed. The second time we were there, we had a normal sized room, plenty of space and a huge bathroom. A very enjoyable trip overall and would recommend it highly ( unless you don't like high humidity).
Really couldn't fault anything other than the long waits between flights getting home. Perhaps options for more direct flights could be offered for customers willing to pay more to get home quicker. All tours were great. Food was fantastic. Local tour guides great. Special acknowledgement to our tour guide Roseanne (Anne) Diel who was with us the whole time. Her love of her country and her knowledge was infectious. She made the trip go seamlessly and was always there if we needed her. She deserves a 10 out of 10! This is only our 2nd Tripadeal trip but we will be back :)
The whole trip, its organisation and sightseeing content were all really good, as were the two guides, particularly Jack in Shanghai. A bit more history and construction information on the Great Wall would have been useful. All hotels by Tripadeal were excellent. The hanging around for most of a day in the hotel provided by the airline took the edge off the trip as awhole
The river cruises were the best
Bus, train and cruise were excellent, some accommodation was average at best (Banff in particular) and check in to Vancouver hotel was a nightmare.
Superb Guide (Clay) and fantastic driver (Popie?). Very well organised, great bus load of people on the tour. So much to see and do. One of my best holidays.
Happy with everything.
Fabulous trip! Small group was great as we generally had 2x6 in the safari trucks! All guides and drivers were knowledgable and friendly. Accomodation and included meals all excellent! Could travel from Kruger be direct to Victoria Falls? 6 hours in a mini bus back to Johannesburg was long and wasted a day really. Would travel with Trip A Deal again for sure!
Great trip, safaris were excellent seeing lots of wildlife, highlight watching the mother and 1 month old baby elephant having fun wallowing in the mud. Trip was well run with our guide Sujee always keeping us informed and making sure we were all ok and having a good time. Would definitely recommend.
Everything was outstanding. Tour guide was exceptional, accommodation excellent, scenery exquisite- couldn’t fault anything .
Excellent and satisfactory Accommodation, history from Tour Guide Lathife was excellent, culture of the people, tours themselves were great, the bus helper was great.
Our whole holiday from beginning to end was absolutely wonderful. The group we travelled with were beautiful people who were easy to get along with, our tour leader Jesus C. was very helpful in every way (available 25 hours a day - his words :), great sense of humour and made all the wonders we saw seem mind boggling due to his wealth of knowledge. Getting gluten free food was a breeze thanks to Jesus, Latam airlines were wonderful to travel with and all our accommodation was lovely. Peru is such a beautiful country, we absolutely loved Ollytambo, wished we could have had an extra day there but unfortunately not possible. It is a town full of character and very nice people. We adored all the Inca sights especially Rainbow Mountain and Machu Pichu even though we loved all of them. So much history to see and explore. The different altitudes took a while to adjust to but that was just an added experience. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of travelling there.
My husband and I enjoyed the holiday very much, especially the overnight cruise to Halong Bay and the caves in the rowing boats. We can't think of any improvements.
The tour was quite fast paced, with big days. Some days there was a lot of coach tour, but we traversed large sections of the country. Once we were out of Tokyo, the scenery and gardens were stunning and Mt Fuji was covered in snow. The smaller towns reflected an older culture culture, the additional tours were great and Hiroshima was extremely sad to see the devastation that had been bestowed on the city. This was a favourite part of our journey, and we just hope that the lessons learned here are never repeated.
Golden palace Hiroshima My Fuji
The entire tour was spectatular!! Fantasitc tour eents with some nice optioal tours.
Chance to see and appreciate Sri Lanka
Ms. Lara Lee was an exceptional tour guide and shared so much knowledge and insight into the country, people and culture.
Cruise was fabulous, particularly food and entertainment.
Well paced trip with excellent guide. Accomodation was all high standard. Buffet breakfasts all hotels excellent with both local and international options. Small group a bonus on this tour option compared to other tours. Extra things added by guide as needed or if the group was interested. Guide Nalinda made the tour feel customised to our group and was happy to add things in we asked to do if time permitted. Highly recommend this tour option. Maldives was a perfect end. Over water bungalow worth the extra.
We Loved Sri Lanka The culture, abundance of beautiful food including fresh fruits. Accommodation as 5 star. Our tour guide Eric was the BEST, so informative, eager to please everyone on the tour bus.
Sri Lanka is beautiful , loved the safari, all tours where amazing great accommodation some better than others , excellent guide .
Every minute of tour was a wonderfully well managed experience. The tour guide was very experienced and managed the very well. He was all well versed in the history of and culture of Vietnam. The flights were great, the accommodations were first class and the bus drivers and boat crew were excellent. We would deal with TripaDeal again
We were well taken care of by our tour guide, Junie. She changed the days itinerary around so that we got to see the the sights with as few people around and also adjusted depending on the weather. Dinner recommendations were always excellent. She was informative and had a good sense of humour
Loved the tour leader, the pace and variety of the tour. I found the trip great value for money. The food was fantastic and the Korean people very courteous.
Whole island inclusions
We had wonderful time in Vietnam from the smooth pick up to great tours guide Enjoy all luxury hotel & delicious foods 😊
Very well organised. Good accommodation. Rocky Mountaineer train was a highlight. Alaska cruise was amazing
Our time spent in the mountains was amazing. We stopped at great vantage points for photos and to enjoy the scenery. Stopping at villages and being sble to walk through them was an opportunity to see culture close up. Our bus driver Mr Ha was incredible. We all felt very safe with his driving in the mountains. Our tour guide Tom was very helpful and friendly.
Canada and Alaska are the most beautiful places, wild Alaska was once. The cruise was excellent, beautiful ship , comfortable cabins, great food, excellent service. Our guide trough the Rockies was knowledgeable, funny, always willing to help. The itinerary worked like clockwork
The accommodation was excellent in each place. We stayed at Muluwa Lodge near Kruger. We were lucky enough to see four lions in the middle of the road at Kruger right in front of our vehicle. The two males were fighting each other. The guide said it was the first time in ten years he had seen that. We went on the Panorama Route which was very scenic. We thoroughly enjoyed the Peninsula full day tour and Wine full day tour from Cape Town. The rooms at Canopy by Hilton in Cape Town were beautiful.
James our guide is very professional. Gave good information on the way to sites. He went above and upon when he found out it's the wedding anniversary of one of the couples. Sabrina, our guide at Langkawi gave us all the information we need in the limited time we had with her. Having a whatsapp group makes it very easy to communicate or share happy moments. The location of all 4 hotels are very good. Verdant Hill Hotel at Kuala Lumpur is very close to KL tower, which means I can find my way back to the hotel easily. It's walkable to the Petronas Twin Towers, Pavillion KL, Chinatown. After the city life of Kuala Lumpur, we went to the Cameron Highlands. Strawberry Park Resort was relaxing. I enjoyed the cooler climate and the mountain views from the room. The location of Citadines Connect Georgetown is similar to Verdant Hill. It's close to The Top Penang means I can find my way back easily, the malls 1st Avenue and Gama are minutes away. The final hotel is Holiday Villa Resort & Beachclub at Langkawi. My room is about 200 metres from the sea and I've enjoyed the sunset by the beach. I've enjoyed the mix of cities and country/island. I've enjoyed having the free days in between to explore places. We went up the KL tower and returned to the Petaling Street Market on our free day. We've been lucky with a group people that clicked and also with the weather. Other then a storm that came right after our visit of the orangutans, we aren't affected by bad weather.
Include breakfast atleast, especially when leaving hotels early in morning. The tour guide and driver were great The highlight was the cruise
Our guide Roland was great. Very passionate about the fauna and the flora. He was extremely knowledgeable about his culture, and he made the trip very memorable. Seeing the Borneo wildlife will be with us in our photos and learning about the Sankakan Death march makes us realise how lucky we are.
Japan Discovery was a great itinerary covering all of what we especially wanted to experience in a manageable time frame. The trip exceeded our expectations being so much history across the big cities and experiencing the country side including Mt Fuji and surrounds. Our tour guide Kenta provided an outstanding service at every step along the journey going above and beyond for the group. Equally our highly competent bus driver Tukka was warm and jovial with the group as we departed and returned to the bus. The included breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices and the dining options of an evening were excellent. We would recommend taking most of the optional tours/events too if your schedule and budget enables it. We especially enjoyed Kyoto by the Sea day trip and the Maiko-Geisha dinner in Kyoto. Highly recommend this holiday.
This trip was a fabulous mix of countryside, city and coast. The tour guide Hiep was sensational and went the extra mile every day to make sure we were getting the most of our trip. His knowledge was exceptional and he was always available to us and provided any assistance we needed. The free days were a welcome relief after some busy days were we were free to either take up an optional tour or just kick back and explore by ourselves. Hiep was also very helpful with suggestions to fill our free days. Great group of people to travel with and having the group chat was so good to have with sharing of pics and meeting up with people at different venues. Overall a very memorable trip and a huge thanks to Hiep for making it truly special. Also our drivers were very experienced and negotiated some challenging roads really well.
We had a great unforgettable holiday in NYC thru tripadeal. Tripadeal is easy to deal with and highly recommended to everyone
Excellent value for money. Our guide Roland was fabulous as was our driver. A very well organised trip.
The whole experience was great; India is totally unique. Felt safe the whole time and have seen and done things I never imagined I would ever do.
We enjoyed the whole experience. The tour guide and transport very good. Most of the accommodation was good to very good with one exception. The room was very small. Overall we had a very good experience.
Saw the sights of Sri Lanka. Our guide Sithu was awesome, as were his driver and support staff. Only 8 days and a little bit rushed, but still great!
Our recent trip to Southern Thailand was awesome. Our tour guide Yui was fantastic. Yui went above and beyond to ensure that everyone’s needs were met. The tour group was a mixture of people from different backgrounds and locations with everyone being prepared to participate and get to know each other. The sights that we saw were exciting and memorable and there was a good mixture of planned activities and free time. I would recommend the trip.
Tan our first guide was especially helpful and went out of his way to help. He made the trip fun and interesting. We loved the diversity of places we went from crazy busy Hanoi to high in the hills where we walked down through villages then onto Ha Long Bay. Our second guide was also very good. It makes a big difference when guides are fluent in English. Drivers did very good too negotiating heavy traffic conditions.
- Great guides in both Japan & Korea. - Great impartial explanations about culture and customs. -Very well organised. - Comfortable accommodation located in central areas and experienced bus drivers.
The holiday was a great 'taster'. It was excellent value. We loved all the opportunities and the balance between led activities and free time. Our tour leader was excellent and added to our trip in such a positive way. His knowledge, humor and professionalism was appreciated. His local knowledge and special care to make sure we had lots of meaningful experiences was highly valued. We had an awesome coach driver in England and Scotland. He worked well with the tour leader and was highly skilled and personable. We would have really appreciated if he could have continued with us to Ireland. Our connection and trust was another important aspect of our trip. His extra care with things like music, water, cleaning of the bus and looking out for the needs of passengers was outstanding. In terms of 'tasting' - an additional day in London would be great - even a self directed day. With the traffic it was really impossible on the guided part to do more than look quickly from the bus at many important things. It would also be valued to have an overnight stay in Wales - perhaps on the night before the ferry. We only drove through it. The position of our London, Edenborough, Glasgow, York and Bristol accommodation was awesome. It allowed us to maximise our time. The position of the Dublin accommodation would be better closer to town. The Liverpool accommodation could be changed to Wales. Galway was fun and closer accommodation there would also be valued. The included breakfasts were great. There were always plenty of options provided for us to access dinner and lunch. The size of 37 people was a functional size - any more would have impacted timing and access to activities.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, the transportation was great, the hotel accommodation was truly 5 star and the places visited were magical.
Fabulous fun-filled 10 days. Every day got better than the last, and we went from one adventure to another. Our guide was AMAZING and really made our holiday with his incredible breadth of knowledge, his humour, and his command of the English language. Highlights? Well the whole trip- seeing all 5 primates/crocs/pygmy elephant/snorkelling/para-sailing/learning about the Sandakan Death Marches (overwhelmingly sad) at the War Memorial/wonderful accommodation/fabulous food everywhere. LOVED this incredible holiday - thank you Trip-a-Deal - and a MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ROLAND (our guide).
We have many highlights of our trip. Galapagos was amazing and loved the snorkeling. There was so much to see in Peru. It exceeded expectations. The Amazon was beautiful. Most of the tours were wonderful. However the half day trip to Rio was disappointing as there was possibilities to see more for example the viaduct is located around the corner from the steps but we didn’t get a chance to see it. So we had to visit the same location during our free time to see the viaduct which is a key tourism site . Our tour guide in Peru Eddie was outstanding!! He was so professional, organised, friendly and we all loved him and wished he would stay with us during the whole tour. I loved the overall tour and would recommend it to everyone!!
From the moment we landed till the time we left, our group was looked after, informed and provided with the best experience you could possibly hope for. Our guide James was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond what you would expect of a guide. Our group have left each other as friends that will stay in touch. Trip of a life time. Malaysia was incredible, we did and saw so much. Accomodation was great, it wasn’t ritzy but it was all well located, clean and welcoming. If I could recommend any ideas it would be to maybe provide a printout of each area you stay with details of eateries shopping etc within short walking distance that have been recommended. I will definitely be doing and recommending Tripadeal. Thank you for this wonderful experience
We had an amazing trip. We loved the cultural experiences, the contrast between city and country, the food and the people. Our tour guide Tam was excellent ensuring the trip went smoothly. He was a font of knowledge just not about practical matters but about history and culture. I would recommend Trip a Deal employing him to train new tour guides. He is the best tour guide I've had on a tour and I appreciate how he shaped our experience.
As per usual Trip A Deal exceeded all expectations. We have travelled with you 7 previous times and always recommend your trips to our friends. This trip was even more special as we travelled to a third world country and visited deep in the jungle. Our guide PAUL was exceptional and went out of his way to look after us and explain everything in detail. We saw everything you advertised and more. The accommodation was great even in the jungle. The meals supplied ( which were plenty ) were high quality and the location of the hotels were central and very clean. To finish the tour in luxury hotels (Hilton and Shangri La ) for the last five nights just topped off the experience. Can not fault the tour and as I said Trip A Deal did not let us down. SPECIAL Mention to out guide , PAUL. He has not been with your company that long however was proud that he was working for trip a deal and should be acknowledged for his professionalism and care he showed us during the entire tour. Thank you Garry James
Loved Sarah our tour guide, so knowledgeable and such a fab personality We saw so many attractions all well run, food was lovely
The whole trip was very well organised, the travel guide was great, Lara was very helpful and informative. I enjoyed every moment of my holiday.
Everything was great
Hanoi and Northern Vietnam were great. Optional excursions were good value overall except excursion to Ba Na Hills. Quite pricey for what it was.
The trip was really good, from start to finish, we could not stay overnight at Ha Long Bay due to weather but that was ok, I would have enjoyed more time in Hoi An, I would definitely go back there, also in Siem Reap I would add on the floating village as an activity as I had been there before and suggested it to the group that had stayed on for the extra days, our tour guide was happy to assist us and provide the tour, it was a real highlight for the 8 of us that stayed on, highly recommend to any future guests
Well organised and explanations of future plans and what to take were good. Hotels were all of a good standard as were the vehicles and drivers. Our guide Yui was excellent- very knowledgeable about her country and very organised and friendly. She couldn’t do enough for us and everyone had good things to say about her. She accompanied us to the airport and saw us all the way through. She even took photos of the group and individuals to share with us which was a nice touch. Thoroughly recommend her. The last day was very long and hot- perhaps omit the temple visit as we had already seen a temple and just visit Phuket old town. Rawai was nice but a long way to go and traffic was heavy so we didn’t get to hotel till late. Perhaps start with Rawai and then move to Phuket old town, and Nai Yang. The Tiger Temple climb was very difficult for everyone in the heat- I wouldn’t suggest it, even for the fit in that heat. Perhaps only as an early morning climb. The night market was great- Yui provided us with a good variety of things to try. Overall a great trip with enough variety without being over taxing, and enough free time. Recommend to anyone.
Great holiday. Dragon was a fantastic guide. He was friendly, warm, knowledgeable about his country, culture, history and geography. Dragon was enthusiastic entertaining and a great storyteller. He was empathic and took a caring approach when dealing with my partner who was slow and in pain from an injury to his buttocks and hamstring a few days prior to the trip. The hotels were mainly excellent bar 2 which had tiny rooms and quite a walk to the main entrance. The tour was well paced and the sites and experiences excellent. I enjoyed Hakone, cherry blossom, Mt Fuji, the little old Edo villages. I enjoyed the sword making facility and dressing up in a Kimono. I also loved Kyoto and the Maiko dinner. I also enjoyed the outdoor art and sculpture park.
We had the most amazing guide in Khaoula. She made thee trip so enjoyable and fun. Highlight was the Maiko dinner in Kyoto as we were lucky enough to to have a Geisha attend as well, but the quality of the food alone was worth it. Absolutely Devine. All activities where amazing.
Hiroshima Having 1 guide the whole trip. Kyoto geisha side trip. Mt fuji 5th station and swan lake Osaka shipping
