Ultimate China

The highlights were the Great Wall and the Heaven’s Gate. I enjoyed climbing up to the top of the Great Wall and climbing back down. I loved the seeing the beautiful scenery at Heaven’s Gate and climbing the 999 steps. Overall the tour was exhausting. It started from day one with little sleep. No rest day was given. And always rushing from one hotel to the next.

Incredible China

We loved tour guide Rainbow - she was organised, informative and had our best interests in mind. Leo needs a bit more training in English and how to manage a large group better. We loved the tour, but didn't expect the accommodation to be so remote, which meant we couldn't explore much in our free time.

Ultimate Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an interesting place, lovely people. The highlight was the group size not too big (15) the other tourists we great and compatible, the tour leader, driver and bus assistant were excellent made the trip enjoyable. Highlights were snorkelling at Pidgeon Island, Nilaveli Beach, the Hilton in Colombo, and Doubletree, and Sheraton. Cooking class was great in Galle … Would like the tour to include experiencing life of the people in their real environment.

Ultimate Vietnam

I was on this tour with my wife. We enjoyed the culture, people and places. The experience of Sapa at the top of Indochina, the waterways going past villages and the Cu Chi tunnels which were so dark it felt we were alone. This was a good trip around most of Vietnam. We didn't realise how long a country it is. If possible, look at the itinerary for travelling from Sapa to Danang to see if there is a way to bypass an extra night in Hanoi. The travel time, bus & air travel may not allow change. Overall, the travel was well planned. The guides were good - informative, friendly and spoke English well. They provided good recommendations for places to eat, shop and see when we were on our own. Thank you for arranging this tour.

2 for 1 Borneo

Enjoyed every minute of the holiday, getting to see the wildlife in their natural habitat, the birds, monkeys, crocs, snakes and the amazing flowers in their natural habitat rainforest and the culture. The beautiful sunsets were amazing. Our guide Brendan was fantastic with his exceptional knowledge always ready to give anyone that extra encouragement and helping hand when required. The exceptional driving skills of the bus driver Mr Achoo ensured our safe passage throughout the tour. What a fantastic tour to experience loved it🥰🥰🥰🥰

Our tour guide Runa was amazing, she went above and beyond to care for us and share her beautiful country, she could have used a better mic, and some of the accomodation was very small. I would have liked two days in Tokyo, but I loved the experience, Thank you

Indonesia's Komodo & Flores Islands

Indonesia was such a surprise. We all know about Bali, but Flores Island is so different to Bali. Tour group size of 12 was great. Highlights would be the sunrise over Kellimutu crater lakes and of course the Komodo day on the water. Both outstanding days. Loved the accommodation at the EcoLodge. Loved the tour! It's a fabulous adventure. Important to let people know that this tour has long days on a bus. Because the island is so mountainous, the average travel speed is only about 25-30kph, meaning 140kms can take 6 hours of travel time. The accommodation in the middle nights of the Flores Island tour could perhaps be better. The hotel in Bajawa was very poorly cleaned and maintained. When we walked in to our room, I had to ask to change rooms as there was such a strong smell of urine in the room. The 2nd room was better thankfully. The hotel in Ruteng was on a one way main road. It was like trying to sleep in the middle of a motorbike race track, until well after 2.00am. Our driver was fantastic and I never felt unsafe no matter how chaotic the traffic or road conditions were. Maintenance on the bus was perhaps not top quality, we had a flat tyre and the spare had a slit in the external wall....but we got there. Some seat belts didn't work. Seats didn't come back up after reclining. But not complaining. Our tour guide, gave us little to no information along the way, each day. I'm sure there was a lot more we could have learnt if he had shared/known. He was generally attentive when we arrived at places, checking in to hotels and eating preferences etc. Collected tip money from each person/couple on the first day, after discussing what should be paid as an amount per person. Tour guide counted the money when we paid and asked why if not 'full amount' paid. We believe this money was used to pay restaurant staff, baggage handlers at hotels, driver, drivers helper and tour guide. No info provided on how the money was used or how much was given to each. Our flight was Jetstar. TripaDeal advised fare would be Starter Plus, which includes a drink and meal on the plane. When boarding passes were issued fares were booked as Starter only, so had to purchase a meal and drink. Little things aside...this was a great tour and I enjoyed it.

Loved our time in Xian and visiting the Great Wall. All the destinations were great, Shanghai was a great last spot to visit. Improvements, fewer visits to activities designed to get you to spend, ie Jade factory, silk factory etc, they chewed up a lot of time

India & Vietnam Discovery

Loved this holiday! Tam Coc, Ninh Binh and Hanoi were fantastic in Vietnam as was our guide Tony. Lots of highlights in India, Jaipur Pink Palace, Taj Mahal, Amber Fort & our guide Aditya (Adi) was exceptional. One suggestion for improvement to the India leg would be to offer a quicker trip to Delhi for the last trip. As we did the bus between Delhi and Jaipur 6hours and then Jaipur to Agra. Would have preferred a quicker trip back to Delhi from Agra.

5-Star Warriors of China

Good Hotels (In our opinion, only The Pullman in Suzhou was a 5-Star Hotel). Great guides (Jerry in Xian and Tina in Beijing were warm, professional, caring, and knowledgeable. Michelle in Suzhou/Shanghai went the extra mile proactively, checked and found that our return domestic flights were delayed (for both groups on our tour), and then organised to get us on alternative earlier flights so that we did not miss our connecting International flights. Important sites and attractions were covered on the tour.

Vietnam Mountain Discovery

Our guide, Zoom, was knowledgeable, friendly & fun. The bus driver was highly skilled dealing with extremely narrow, winding mountain roads and some tricky situations. I felt very safe. I enjoyed all the experiences immensely. All people on the tour were inclusive and friendly, we made many friends. It was not mentioned that whilst travelling, when we purchased many of our meals, that it would be a set menu. We would liked to have had a choice of meals for some of these. I understand that in the small villages it is advisable to stick with certain restaurants.

Incredible China

I loved the sight seeing and the guides were incredible. The choice of things to do were great . I felt the guides always had the groups best interest at heart as the weather was so hot that they swapped around itineraries so we would be out of the heat and to make the most of the places we went to.

Best of Borneo

Had a great time generally, with a fantastic guide, Michael. Saw lots of wildlife as advertised. Only downside was the elopura hotel (hws didn't work, no fridge, not enough toilet paper and mould) in Sandacan which was frankly nowhere near the standard of the other accommodation which varied from good in the jungle to fantastic in the city. Great group of people on the bus.

Incredible China

We absolutely loved our holiday, we especially loved our Shanghai tour guide Molly, she was outstanding and a wealth of knowledge. Would definitely do another China trip in the near future. Thank you trip a deal for an amazing holiday. The only thing we can fault is the 3am arrival at the hotel with a fully packed early start the next day, it’s was too much.

Incredible China

The tour guides were excellent and generally hotels were good, though a long way from areas of interest. Great that breakfast was included. Optional tours did not really feel optional as we were talked into doing them or else left to sort ways back to the hotel. I wouldn't want to do the Panda zoo again, not really worth the time spent lining up. Otherwise most optional tours were good. However in general given the low cost the trip was well worth it

Catherine
Vietnam & Cambodia Discovery

We loved our TAD Vietnam and Cambodia holiday. Everything was so well planned. Plenty of time to relax, shop or do your own thing. The optional tours offered were a great price and all the guides and drivers did an excellent job. The hotels were above amazing and all were rated 4 star. I highly recommend this holiday as it is 10 out of 10. My only recommendation is to let travellers know that apart from the $10 per person per day tip to the guide/driver, that there are other tips you may wish to make. So please budget for that as you will want to tip the other amazing people who you meet and who help you on this trip.

Tarnia
Japan Discovery

We did the 13 Day Japan Discovery. Highlights were Tokyo day tour, Mt Fuji day, Visit to 100 Tori Gates, and day in Hiroshima and Mayajima Island. There were a couple of long days sitting in the bus. The day where we took Bullet train was a waste of a day as that is all we did. I would have liked a visit to an attraction prior to getting on train, such as Himeji Castle which was nearby. Some of the accommodation was located in areas where the dining options were limited. Such as when we stayed at Nagano. This was a very nice hotel but only buffet option or other expensive dinner options. The hotel in Hiroshima was not suited to western tourists as the breakfast did not cater to western tastes and was very crowded with too many people trying to get breakfast in a tiny area. Another criticism is that the group did not have a means to get introduced to each other. There should have been a welcome drinks evening before or at least go one by one introducing each other on the bus as this would have helped to get to know one another. We enjoyed having the free days to explore by ourselves. Overall we did enjoy the holiday and our guide gave us lots of information about Japan and it's people.

Sri Lanka & All-Inclusive Maldives 2026

We loved the safari in the elephant reserve. We found the tea plantation guided tour very interesting. We absolutely loved the Maldives and so happy that we upgraded to an over the water bungalow. We hadn't been advised that we were splitting up from our group and that we were going to another island, altogether. If we had have known this we would have been happy to downgrade our accommodation, so that we could stay with our group. The first we knew of it was when we were told to get on a boat for transfer and our group boarded another boat. We were of the opinion that, even with the upgrade, we would still be on the same island with our group. Very disappointing.

5-Star China & Yangtze Cruise

General structure of itinerary was good - ground content then cruise (for much needed r& r) and then ground content. Improvements: Connections poor. 1st destination to Xian required a 6 hour layover in Shanghai despite several other earlier flights with China Eastern. Some of the rail connections could have been improved by paying a little more for a faster train and at a better time. We lost 6 days reaching the various destinations and at times arrived so late the hotel had no food available. Accommodation in Beijing way out of town which led to very early starts and long trips in peakhour in the bus. This was very tiring. I also thought the hard sell at the Chinese herbal centre was intense and led to myself and many others in our group being ripped off. The tipping model needs revisiting - Australians would prefer a realistic upfront price and no tipping. In your briefing you said it wasn't mandatory but it certainly felt like it with guides actually taking the money out of envelopes and counting it! Also, there were times when we were asked to tip for 4 days when we were literally picked up late the first night and dropped off early on the 4th.

Ultimate Thailand Adventure

FALSE ADVERTISING At Christmas 2025 a group of nine friends booked the Ultimate Thailand Adventure Tour departing 20 May 2026. The primary reason for this trip was to visit Hellfire Pass and Bridge over the River Kwai. On arrival we were told that Hellfire Pass was closed and wouldn’t open until 25 May. After doing a search online we found that it closes every year for maintenance, yet TripaDeal made no attempt to advise us that Hellfire Pass would be unavailable on our departure date ~ we would have changed our departure date so that we could visit Hellfire Pass. The TripaDeal documents emailed to us on 18 May still stated that our tour would visit Hellfire Pass. IF THAT ISN’T FALSE ADVERTISING I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS. TripaDeal seems more interested in filling tours than giving customers correct information. Australians like to honour those who died in such appalling conditions and each of us had a crocheted red poppy to place at Hellfire Pass, as seen in photo below. The remainder of the tour was enjoyable.

Sri Lanka & All-Inclusive Maldives 2026

We really enjoyed our holiday, we started with a worried issue . We were told our departure flight changed times and asked by trip a deal to find our own way to hotel, which was sorted out after a short discussion with TaD. Our tour guide Richard was amazing throughout the whole Sri Lankan tour. The Maldives was also amazing, I think the rooms definitely needed a good overhaul, no hot water after midnight. The activities were so very overpriced that no one used them while we were there. All staff in all our accommodations were absolutely fantastic and so pleasant.

We didn’t get off to a great start as our flight from Shanghai to Beijing was cancelled, no fault of Trip a Deal and only got 2hrs sleep, before flying to Beijing only to be abruptly told by Adam to drop our bags off and be straight down to the bus.The places we visited were amazing and the tour group were wonderful people, bar 1 (one) and the first guide for the Beijing leg was very abrupt and didn’t really listen to any of the group and insisted we did all the optional tours with him as no assistance whatsoever would be provided to return to the Hotel, Adam was his name. However it got a lot better from there with Maria and then finally John(smart John) being a great ambassador for China as well as Trip a Deal, he made everyone feel at home. Finally the days were quite rushed to fit everything in which made it quite tiring for all, it was a great experience overall despite not seeing Tiananmen Square. Highlights Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Forbidden City, Lingering Gardens, Great Lakes and the Tea tour, I missed another that I don’t recall the name but included an old bridge. The night river cruise was also amazing as an optional extra. I believe the person that did not fit in has already commented on the Yellow group, but do honestly believe it was she that was the one that caused all the angst.

Echo our tour guide in Beijing was great made sure everyone enjoyed the trip. The Great Wall and The Terracotta Warriors were everything I always hoped to see. Sophie our 2nd tour guide who we only had for one day was good. Celery our tour guide for the last 5 days was brilliant went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed the trip. Only improvement was laundry facilities only had self washing in Beijing at the start all other hotels were laundry service which can be expensive.

The holiday was a fun packed adventure. I travelled solo and felt supported throughout the tour. Iur first tour guide was quite lethargic and did not seem very engaged in our group. Our last tour guide was very engaging and full of fun. We had a What’s app and Sarah posted links for us. Sarah really made our tour

I enjoyed the glimpse of China with great people on the coach but maybe less time at the shops & more time at the Great Wall & Warriors venue would be good. A bit too rushed and tour guides need to carry the Trip a deal flag but also something else to differentiate the different groups, it was too easy to follow the wrong group when your attention is being distracted with “the view” and there are the same blue flags being used. Maybe some large coloured ribbons could be used tied to the flags. Hotels were great except the bed in Shanghai hotel…which was rock hard, everyone on the coach said the same and having 2 night there made it worse especially when travelling home the next day and need good sleep. Breakfasts : some hotels better than others but you can find something to eat.

This was my first trip with TAD. Firstly it started a bit rocky due to the cancelled flight from Shanghai to Beijing. People in the group tried to call TAD however no success & by the time some of us got to Beijing there was no tour guide waiting for the group. The motel was more then an hour away & communication between us & the taxi drivers was poor even with translate. We eventually got to the motel early in the morning around 4am & excepted to be organized by around 9 as we needed to pick up the remaining people in our group that needed to spend the night in Shanghai. Our tour began in Beijing with a guide called Adam. He appeared not to be sympathetic to what we had been through & continued to talk about how hard he worked, if he had only said "I'm sorry you all had to go through that" & showed some compassion, I believe it would have made us feel better. It was unfortunate that we didn't get to see Tiananmen Square as Adam stated it was closed to the public however others that we spoke to said they had been on the same day & had limited access, so unsure what that was about? The tour went on, visiting different places & a change of tour guide called Maria who was lovely. Then we got to Shanghai & out tour guide was called John (Smart John) he was amazing, so informative, funny, allowed us free time & stuck to the schedule in a organized manner. He was eager to answer all questions in a professional way. Everyone got along with John. To some up my experience, I had an amazing time, loved the culture, the locals, the food & the environment.

Serena Lema the tour guide was excelent! The itinera was very good although we should have stayed in Florence longer - ot was a hihhlight. The flight home with Lufthansa was a nightmare! Our connection in Frankfurt was too short and although fourteem of us ran through the airport and arrived just 2 minutes after the departure time the flihht attendants refused to let us on ( Germam efficiency). Lufthansa then booked us into a terrible 3 star hotel amd rebooked is with Thsi airlines the next day. Umder no circumstances use Lufthansa again a truly terrible airline-. Thai Airlines and Simgapore were very good. It was am unfortunate ending too an otherwise womderful trip and a great experience. Well dome!

Unbeatable Japan 2026

Eric was a friendly and considerate leader. He went beyond and above to accommodate individual requests. The bus was in good condition and clean and the driver was so professional. Qantas crew, service and food were excellent. Improvement: 1- To have direct flight from/to Sydney 2- Apart from Art Hotel Narita, other hotels to provide more western breakfast type including cheese and poached eggs 3- All hotels should provide bottles of water in the room. Some didn’t 4- At least on the first day a bottle of water to be provided on the bus 5- the optional half day tour on Day 2 was hectic and not worth it 6- the optional half a day tour on Day 9 not worth it.

I loved the scenery the views of the mountains and steep valleys with small villages and hamlets, farmlands, orchards and the islands and coast lines. I also loved the large gardens, art galleries, museums and castles in the cities. I did not like the large shopping areas they were very stressful. I would have liked going to see someone doing some pottery or wood carving or scroll work or other craft work. I would have also liked more detail of the warehouse district we went to, what they stored who they traded with etc.

Coverage of countries and locations visited was good and it was great that all on our tour were from Australia. Better cabin accommodation on ferry to Oslo could have been provided and more timely transfer to ferry terminal. Too many kilometres travelled by coach on some days. The coaches provided had limited storage for our luggage and in one case, luggage had to be Transported with the use of a second vehicle. Name badges could have been provided to all, so that it would have been easier to remember/recognise names of fellow travellers. The local guides also should have carried a flag or some identifying marker to more easily locate them in crowded tourist locations. Also suggest a dinner on the last day, so that entire group can have a final meet up and farewell each other.

Great tour overall 👌. Very interesting & intensive. Covers a lot of ground. Tour guides are great, all in their own way. Good & sizable accommodation. Comfortable busses. As a suggestion. Would prefer to cut Beijing by 1 day shorter & add 1 extra day in Shanghai. Also replace 6 hours (waste of a day) on bullet train by domestic flight. That would give us extra day in Xian.

Maldives was a paradise. Taj Mahal was majestic. Elephant safari was a highlight. Sri Lanka organisation was a joke. We spent an additional 12 hours in the bus compared to those who had standard accommodation….. we were forced to stay at remote accommodation (one owned by the tour company- conflict of interest) spend additional hours picking up and dropping off the standard accommodation people who were often one hour from us. We would have early starts and late finishes.

The trip was exactly as stated on the itinerary so it was easy to plan out the things that we wanted to see and do that were not included. Mimi our guide was fantastic and knowledgeable, wherever we were. She shared her love of her country and it was infectious! Hotels were great, all had different highlights but were all placed in great locations. My only improvement would be add 1 more night in Busan and include a trip on the blue line train. A huge thank you to Mimi and Mr Yun, they were integral to the enjoyment of the trip. Korea, we will be back!

The highlights would certainly be, the Great Wall and the night cruise in Shanghai. I felt it was a little rushed but it was great to see so much of China in such a small period of time. It definitely showed how advanced to country is in such a short period of time. Our first guide Terry was very stressed and selected a number of the younger members of the group (and later two older members) to verbally abuse, at one stage threatening not to buy train tickets for them because they wanted to go shopping (I witnessed the exchange) At one stage he lost the plot with the whole group pointing to the sky saying god sees everything. He had arranged massages for a number of the group in their rooms, which we found out later not to be authorised by the hotel (1st hotel) so we tried to cancel, which he refused to do. My partner Vanessa turned up at the room and was threatened by the male massage person for payment, which she refused and threatened to call security. But overall, the remaining guides were perfect. They had great knowledge and worked hard to please everyone. All of the group got on with each other very well and most exchanged details on our last day.

We loved this trip - hotels and breakfast were great. Highlights were the great wall and the Terracotta Warriors. Difficulties were the enormous number of people who lived there could not speak English. I know we went to China, and their national language is Chinese, but they didn't seem geared up for tourism. I wouldn't go again without a guide - the guides provided by Trip a Deal were great - even though a bit difficult to understand at times. Our travel group was a mixture of young and older people - with made walking a bit difficult (fast to suit the younger people and slower to suit the oldies).

The trip was great. A lot of stop over which could be better planned, so we are not constantly packing our bags which involves better consideration in the flights and overnight stays to be reviewed, In that just do direct flights to the next destination not an overnight stay in a town and then an early morning flight and days are lost with no sightseeing. A trip to see the jaguars would be great as the Amazon did not really provide many animals and even though it was great to be there - it was missing something. A warning about Rio being high crime would be good. Overall a great sample of the places but more time to explore at our own time would be an advantage. Highlights were Ba na Hills, Mekong River cruise, Ha Long Bay and Ang Kor Wat. Suggested improvements The 3 hour old town walk in Hanoi in 39 degree heat and high humidity was too long. Much of what we saw was very similar. Better to cut it down to 1.5 hours and spend some time visiting historical sights in Hanoi eg the Ho chi Min monument and others. Once again the Thai village walk was too long in the heat. Suggest that name tags would have been useful but not vital. Some of the hotels were not 5 star eg in Cambodia. We were advised that the Eco lodge hotel was 3 stars so we were aware of that, which was nice to know before hand

The tour was great and covered some of the great places of the countries. It was great value for money. Excellent flights, internal transport and hotels. All tour guides were amazing - Nina (Beijing), Lucky (Xi'an), Vivian (Zhengzhou) and Darren (Suczo, Hangzhou, Shanghai) (Tour Guide's English names). Only suggestion would be to replace the below activities/visits with the visit to the site of historical importance / modern architecture. Beijing: 1. Replace Hutong Tour with Temple of Heaven and allow more time at Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square to explore. 2. Replace Perl Factory and Chinese Medical Centre with visit to Birds Nest (National Museum) or other important places in Beijing. Xi'an: Suggestion to add an extra day to the itinerary (At cost to travellers) as Xi'an has so much to see (City wall, night city etc.) and just not enough time allocated in the tour. Zhengzhou: In addition to visit to Shaolin Temple, a second optional tour can be added to include a visit to Yello River scenic area (Emperor Yan and Huang's statues) and local museums. Allowing travellers to choose between the two options. Hangzhou: Visit to tea factory can be skipped and more time can be allocated at the West Lake to explore the area and visit Leifeng Pagoda. In a nutshell, it was great experience. All enjoyment and no complains.

We were so lucky to have them.It was fast paced but all the optional tours should be said to be compulsory because I would've missed out on a great time without them. Ditch 2 dollar market place and go to the last days market to buy lots of great items.Again we love JoJo and miss her she should have been a comedian.Highlight great Wall

Organised very well but it felt like a sales tour in the end. we were taken to buy Jade, Pearls, Tea, Silk and also Chinese copy ripoffs. Clearly the tour organiser got a cut of all purchases. Not what I wanted from a holiday.

loved seeing the animals in the wild. chi chi was a wonderful guide and looked after us in every way. loved the mountains, rain forest, the tribute to the australian soldiers who died on the death march, hotels and meals were great although the hotel in sandakan needed a few repairs. the local farm we visited as an extra tour was well worth it and the boat trips on the river were great. we saw many animals and birds in the wild

Incredible China

I recently returned from my trip to China last week, and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything about the trip was very well organised, and all arrangements ran smoothly without any issues. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to see some amazing sights while still having enough time to relax and enjoy each location. The accommodation, transport, and guided tours were all excellent and met my expectations. The tour guides ( Jason and Laura ) were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Every detail seemed to be taken care of, making the whole journey stress-free and comfortable. Overall, I found the trip to be great value for money and a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend TripADeal to others and would happily travel with them again in the future.

Highlights of Türkiye for 2

We went on this trip with low expectations, but it turned out to be a pretty eye-opening experience. We discovered some fascinating things about Turkiye, its history and vibrant culture. The hot air balloon ride, the cave hotel stay and seeing the fairy chimneys in Cappadocia were definitely the highlights of our trip. It would be so much better if hotels were located near shops and restaurants.

5-Star China & Yangtze Cruise

We loved the visit to the Terracotta Warriors, the Great Wall, the 3 Gorges and Guilin. The bulletin train was good but we lost nearly 3 days of travelling on trains. Too much emphasis was on shopping and I hated the Chinese Medicine shop as we were pressured to buy and when we refused the staff were put out. The cost they quoted was $2000 per month! I had no faith in what they were selling was safe. At times we felt we were on shopping tour instead of a cultural tour. There was a lot of pressure to join the Optional Tours - and at times there could be 2 tours were scheduled at the same time. If you didn’t do optionals you did not see much. Shanghai was a disappointment as we had limited time at the Bund and museum. The optional half day tour was just shopping time and no real history or information. We felt ripped off! The cruise was ok but the meal times were limited e.g Breakfast 6:30am to 8 am. There was no provision to access food outside of the standard hours. The upgrades offered were expensive for average rooms did not include food upgrades. A happy hour was included in the food package but we wouldn’t not be back on board until it finished, so we didn’t take it up. We were left on our own to find our way from domestic to international at Shanghai Airport and after 45mins of getting lost we finally arrived in the International Terminal. More pre tour information is required e.g. you can’t drink the water without boiling it first and BYO toilet paper and you can’t flush it as the sewerage is utterly primitive! The tour guides change with each province and some are excellent and others leave a lot to be desired .

Need more time on Jeju island to see the beaches and coastline. This could be done by either flying down early in the day from Busan and not visiting a shopping area or returning later in the day and not visiting the amethyst shop We did the optional day in Busan, the war memorial was very moving and important. This should be a non optional part of the tour. It could have been done before flying from Busan ti Jeju

Rockies Rail & Cruise 2026

The Rocky Mountaineer was wonderful, with great food and service. Very comfortable way to travel. The accommodation they put us in for a night was also great. The cruise ship was magnificent, entertainment plus. Food was great, very comfortable cabins with plenty of room. We played extra for gold class on the train and trip a deal booked Holland/American line. I don't know what we got for our money. The hotel in Canmore was unsatisfactory, clean enough but next to a train line, trains ran all night. The tour director didn't seem to know her job, and we had many questions.

Suggestions for improvement would have to be more time to be spend in Kyoto (1/2 day is certainly not enough) and less day in Osaka (not so much to do there except for shopping), which was not my main reason for visiting Japan

I was unwell and missed 5 days of the tour. Everybody from the guide to the staff at the lodges were very kind and caring - that is my highlight . I also love the photos uploaded to our group whatsapp- they made up for what I missed. I wonder if all the guides should be taught how to use this for effective communication with the group. I also suggest that accommodation with view should be spread around the group in some specific way. As it was, many solo like me, though paying the supplement, was not allocated any room with view. I was checking and comparing at each hotel,- that is how I came to the conclusion that solos were being discriminated.

Having done a similar trip in 1998, I was interested to see any changes that had taken places in the interceding 28 years - and what a change there has been! Positive changes that made the trip so interesting. I was very keen to conquer the Great Wall again and take lots of photos to replace the blurry ones I had taken last time. I’m proud that I could still scale a pretty steep section! I was also looking forward to seeing the Terracotta Warriors again. So much development has taken place to cater for the number of tourists. This was a real highlight for me. The evening cruise along the river in Shanghai to see the light projections was new for me and a wonderful introduction to the city. We had many opportunities to sample food from the different regions and the parks we visited provided a contrast to the huge sprawling cities. The guides were knowledgeable with lots of history and engaging anecdotes, Charlie in Shanghai and Maggie in Xian, in particular, were wonderful and provided lots of fun that brought our whole group together to create memories forever. I really enjoyed this TripADeal adventure!

Hello TripADeal Team I thoroughly enjoyed China Southern Airlines. The cabin crew were kind thoughtful attentive and food was plentiful. All 4 flights were smooth and enjoyable. Robin our Tour Guide was a lovely person . He tried to ensure all of our needs were met and I’m sure that is not an easy task given we had a variety of personalities with different expectations. About 37 of us. Most of us were very disappointed at not visiting Tiananmen Square. Robin only informed us of the non visit as we were passing the area. That evening I spoke to him about our extreme sadness as it was a highlight of the holiday for many. He apologised and said the queue was a 3 hour wait. Our bus driver was excellent. Our 2nd Tour Guide Emily was exceptionally good as well. She tried even harder to please people even though there was 2 ladies who took a distinct dislike to her and they managed to create an unpleasant and unsettling atmoshere. Those 2 ladies alienated themselves from the group and largely ignored by the most. We were aware of their ‘trouble making’ behaviour. I thoroughly enjoyed the Panda Bears visit, absolutely loved the evening Shanghai river cruise, loved the what turned out to be a full 1 day city tour ( meant to be 1/2 day) , I really enjoyed all of the magnificent gardens in all of the tourist spots visited. I thought all of the accommodation was very well selected and beautifully appointed hotels. I felt genuine sadness towards our guide Emily as the 2 girls/women were unnecessarily rude and abusive. I tried to reassure Emily that she was doing a great job and not to be deterred by most unpleasant people. All of the outings and activities were great. My only constructive criticism is maybe have The Tiannnamen Square as an optional tour and not a highlight as most people are attracted to that and then disappointed. In speaking with Robin I read between the lines and realised he was ashamed of his country’s history plus he was fearful of his government deeming him to be unfaithful to his country thus attracting punishment. A big thank you to the wonderful and helpful TripADeal Team! ✅👍👏

Wild Africa & Victoria Falls

Our South Africa & Victoria Falls trip was a wonderful experience. We had a great small tour group of 12 people (ideal size). Entabeni Wildside Tented Camp with its accommodation, beautiful, caring staff, awesome food & incredible game drives & other offered experiences, was a fantastic place in a great location. We were treated so well by everyone there, especially Assistant Manager Daisy & our drivers, Sammy & Mathweus. It was very special (and surprising) to be told by Daisy that we were the best group they’d ever had there as we always included other tourists in our Safari trucks & group meals & that we wanted our drivers to be included in our last dinner. Entabeni, Daisy, Sammy & Mathweus will always have a special place in our hearts. Our Victoria Falls trip was fantastic also. Great accommodation & fabulous experiences that we were taken to by our excellent driver/guide, Gerard. One of the highlights of that trip was visiting a local village “homestead” meeting lovely, generous people. The only negatives from our experience were having to pay for our seats on the FastJet flights to & from Victoria Falls ( no one else in the group had to do this🤷🏻‍♀️) & the poolside BBQ dinner at Elephant Hills as mentioned in our itinerary was not mentioned to the staff at the hotel. Gerard had to contact people ( I don’t think this was part of his role) to sort that out for us. All in all, it was an awesome trip & we are highly recommending to everyone we know.

▪︎ Accommodation choices were fantastic ▪︎ I believe 'tips' should be included in the trip price to avoid any confusion (ie/people on boat rides asking for tips when guide already paid on our behalf or guides continually "reminding" travellers of expectations. Many people now travel using digital wallets and travel cards and aren't comfortable using ATM's when travelling unless absolutely necessary. ▪︎ Some walk around tours could possibly be scheduled for later in day when cooler (central Vietnam) as travellers feeling sick & ready to pass out due to humidity and heat. ▪︎ limit 1 visit to a lacquer establishment etc...much time spent on visiting same thing in different area. If visit lacquer place in north don't visit in south. When trip reversed with next tour visit 1 in south not north to support that establishment. A majority of travellers on our tour felt that too much time was "wasted" and were sick of the hard sell when visiting these places ▪︎ Great experience, transport/drivers were wonderful and exceeded expectations. The tour enabled us to see so much more of Vietnam than we would ever have been able to

5-Star China & Yangtze Cruise

Overall holiday was 4/10 value for money and experience. First time to china. Trip A Deal (TAD) needs to recognize age of travelers, too many times arriving at hotel after midnight only to be told breakfast is at 6.30am, bus leaves 7.30am. DO you have any idea of the age of the persons that you are selling to?? No you don't, and you don't care. By the 3rd day a lot of people were very tired and cranky/ frustrated!!! Be honest with people. You advised a meal would be available when we boarded cruise ship, yes it was BUT!!!!! your tour guide told us NO!!! a meal is not available on the ship I will take you to a good restaurant. How convenient - another chance for the $ old kick back eh - however when we got to the ship - guess what!!!! restaurant was open and serving dinner. Now tips - GRATUITIES who are they for?? TAD stated in pre information that tips are for the bus driver and guide and NOT COMPULSARY??? What a load of lies!!! Tour guide straight up said TIPS are compulsary and that they belong to TAD and get sent to TAD. Who is telling the lies??? There are too many inconsistencies between TAD's advertised product, TAD's itinerary and to what actually is delivered. Why didnt we get'TADs advertised journey on the Mag/E train? A lot of excursions were meant to be optional, but guides presented options with absolute pressure to buy, almost mandatory. WHY did we have to hire EAR pieces? Surely TAD knows what tourism is and that in public places these ear pieces are mandatory requirement. TAD spends too much time being cheap. We got annoyed in Beijing with your tour co-ordinator, our guide through our request organised our bags to be taken through to the platform - fantastic service. However along comes your co-ordinator and absolutely blasts the heck out of her- threatened to sack her. The only time we got real customer service and a chance to feedback to TAD something good. I guess this type of management is all the way through your TAD. Most guides had good information and delivered their message effectively. Going to the museum in Shangai was not worth it. Overall, days too long including flights/ scheduling etc. Not enough time at some locations particularily main attractions such as Great Wall, Warriors. Bamboo raft didn't meet expectations. On two occasions at flight check in Janet and I were seated seperately, TAD needs to advise to airlines when individuals with different surnames are travelling together needs to be seated together. No it is just not the airlines, it starts with TAD. TAD and this holiday 4 out of 10 . Cruise, TAD advertised how many sailing nights????? How many did we get??

Spain, Portugal & Morocco

Some how I just lost my extensive review in the cloud so here goes again. Highlights were the Spain portion of the trip and also our Tour Leader Luca who was excellent with his extensive knowledge of the Spain and Portugal parts of the trip. Another highlight were the optional extras offered on the Morocco portion by our Tour Leader Habib. These were not part of the Trip A Deal tour but were enjoyed by our bus. Lowlights there were a few. Firstly and most importantly was the large number of people on the tour - I think in the range of 74 - in which our bus (blue) had 38 persons which is far too many for a bus trip tour. There was constant jockeying for positions on the bus every day but this could have been avoided if the Tour Leaders had insisted on seat rotation every day. This is something we have experienced on other bus tours and I think means fair enjoyment to all. Also with the constant moving to the different country venues the handling of suitcases was tedious. Another lowlight was the Moroccan portion of the trip. Our time there was interrupted by the festival (yearly) of Eid which forced the closure of most of the markets with little activity in the medinas etc. I believe Trip A Deal should have investigated this and therefore avoided us not seeing a lot of the culture and normal activities of the cities. The day of transfer from Spain to Africa was horrendous. We departed the hotel in Granada at 5.30am for our 4 hour road trip to Algeciras where we were to board our ferry to Tangier. Due to the festival about to happen in Morocco there was a more than normal number of persons going on the ferry and this caused our ferry to be delayed 6 hours. We arrived at our hotel that night at 11pm - total of 17 hours on travelling. As stated if Trip A Deal had known about the festival then this may have been avoided by moving the tour to a different date. With the cost of a few hundred extra dollars to the tour a flight from Granada to Tangier would avoid the ferry chaos. Our Tour Leader for the Africa section, Habib, was OK but not quite as good as Luca (Spain) but I suspect that the language and culture differences in Africa make his job more difficult. We will probably do another Trip A Deal tour again but this time do our own investigating of festivals and holidays etc. Our tour last year of Vietnam and Cambodia could not be faulted so this trip was a little disappointing.

Christopher
Ultimate Jordan & Egypt

The historical monuments in Egypt were breathtaking. The schedule at times was rushed on the important parts and then had unnecessary visits to local factories and shops squeezed in. Most of the locations were good, the stay in Sharm Al Sheik was Ok and a reasonable break but the dead sea access with the dropping water level in Jordan was not worth the visit. Also Wadi Rum was OK but the night in a Bedouin camp massively oversells the reality of a prefab hut with loud music from adjacent camps. The 4wd vehicles were in poor condition as well. Tipping should be set as a fee as it is mandatory anyway and this caused some issues in the adjacent group. Other options at times turned out to not really be an option as there was no alternative. The "optional" prebooked meals at US$25 head for lunch were disappointing and poor value.

John
India & Vietnam Discovery

This trip was a mixed bag, two different countries and two very different experiences. In Vietnam our tour guide was very difficult to understand (I actually ended up interpreting most of what he said for all of the other tourists) and just incredibly unclear about what was happening and when. On the upside it meant we had a lot more autonomy to just do things that we wanted outside of the specific tour stops. But all in all it felt a bit chaotic. In India, the tour guide was incredibly attentive, funny, and in control. To the point where I at least felt a little bit trapped in the tour, with no option to do anything by myself. Which I understand being in India, but I did feel a bit like I was on a school excursion. In both countries accommodation was adequate at best, particularly in terms of where the hotels were situated — they were very isolated so you were basically forced to just stay there (including for meals) whether you wanted to or not. At least the beds for the most part were comfortable and all the facilities worked. But I can’t say we stayed in any places except maybe one that I would ever choose to stay in again. The last hotel in India was so substandard and full of mould that my friends and I immediately checked out and paid for our own hotel room in a different location. A very unsatisfactory end to the tour. The flights were all okay except for one from Ho Chi Minh to Delhi, where we were stuck for six hours on an aeroplane with no entertainment whatsoever (no TVs, no headphones) and very little legroom. It was hands downs the worst flight I’ve ever been on in my life. This all might make me sound like a princess, but I am still relatively young and have done my fair share of backpacking in developing countries and on this tour I found myself having to dig deep into those prior resources. Goodness knows how some of the older tourists on our group managed with some of these situations.

Ultimate Türkiye

absolutely loved Ulimate Turkey. This was my second TripADeal trip and I chose it based on my previous trip to Egypt which was also fantastic so I’m a repeat traveler. We had an excellent guide who was clearly very knowledgeable about the many and varied experiences and activities we did . I appreciated how he highlighted certain areas so we wouldn’t miss significant things as there was so much to see and at times it could be overwhelming and you didn’t want to miss out. I couldn’t fault the hotels ( customer service in Novotel in Konya was poor but that was probably due to the staff working that day as the hotel itself was great) All other hotels were fantastic and I loved that we were located so centrally I especially loved the ones in Istanbul and Kusadasi and the Portobello at Antalya. I appreciated having a comfortable nights sleep each night in a great bed after long and busy days it really helped managing tiredness. My highlights were so many ! Gallipoli was very moving and I found almost spiritual for me personally. I’ve always wanted to go to Kusadasi to see Ephesus and see the temple of Artemis and that did not disappoint it alone was worth the trip I absolutely loved Izmir and the Agora a real highlight. To be where Alexander the Great had been at Purge an unforgettable experience and to learn about cleopatras pool and that she was there also great. The ancient cities and their history were amazing. Troy was also an unforgettable highlight. To see the ancient walls of Troy and to be in the moment - I don’t have the words to express how surreal this felt. The natural geographical landscapes also highlights standouts were Pamukkale and Cappadocia. Istanbul itself and the Famous site’s incredible I would love to go back to spend more time there and in Izmir. Meals were all amazing and well organised so we didn’t waste time. I liked the traditional meal experience and think that is was helpful to include at least one example of each eg a traditional breakfast lunch and dinner as well as coffee tea ritual. I really appreciated it when we had the opportunity to do this and learn about the food culture . The pace was great I liked that we kept moving and didn’t waste time so we could see as much as we could. I did all the extra tours except the ballooons and loved them all. Something I wasn’t expecting and was a highlight was Rumis house and learning about him and his poetry. I liked the opportunity to go to the museums in Ankara and would have liked to go to the one that had the statues that they found I think in Antalya. I liked going to the leather, carpet and pottery factories to Learn about these traditional industries. The trip was very well organised and seemed seamless I liked that we started early and mostly there at sites at opening so we could be there before it became too busy. I really have nothing but praise for a simply unforgettable experience thank you!!! My only suggestion would be is that there were only two solo travellers and it would have been a better mix to have had a few more as when I enquired I was told there would be. I’ve looked at many trips and the TripADeal model really suits me so I hope there may be more opportunities for solo travellers. Thank you again for a wonderful trip!

Warriors of China

We really enjoyed the Warriors of China trip even though it was fast paced. For us it was the ideal trip to tick off many bucket list items. The highlights for us were the Great Wall and the Warriors but we also enjoyed the many other sights we got to see - Forbidden City, Lingering Garden, Summer Palace, Grand Canal, ERA acrobatic show and Huangpu night river cruise etc. It was disappointing not to see Tiananmen Square (due to President Putin visit) but we understand having to be flexible with things outside of our control. 12 days was enough at the pace of this tour. Tour Guides: Our tour guide in Beijing (his name was King) was excellent and a great way to be introduced to China. He explained how things would work, made sure we felt safe and was a confident English speaker. He gave great direction, was very knowledgeable about culture, history and modern Beijing. King had a great sense of humour and understood his Aussie clients. He accommodated those who wanted to do their own things and deviate from the optional activities. He would be excellent in training other tour guides how to do this well. Our tour guide in Xi'an was not so good unfortunately. His name was John and he lacked confidence, could not offer clear direction and we were left second guessing what was coming next. This was particularly disappointing at the Warriors exihibition, which was very busy with many thousands of tourists. In the end we were left to guide ourselves, navigate the crowds and where possible read the information boards at the various displays to gain insights and knoweldge of what we were looking at. The microphone earpieces we hired through TAD and the guide, did not work and he often raced far ahead, not waiting for the entire group to follow. Our tour guide for the Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi and Hangzhou part of the trip was James and he was excellent. Very clear directions, knew his culture, history and current events. Offered additions to the itinerary (at extra cost), accommodated those who wanted to do their own thing and made sure we got where we needed to be at train stations, airports, etc. Accommodation and food: All were excellent with a great variety of food available, especially for breakfast. Ability to get snacks, drinks or alternate food nearby the hotels or on the road was adequate. Toilet facilities were adequte. Aussies need to be prepared for squate/drop toilets, but guides were great at taking us to toilets where at least one 'western' toilet exisited. It might be worth TAD including this in their information and to suggest tissues and hand santisier as a must. Availability of bottled drinking water was great. Hotels provided 2 bottles per room and then all the buses we had provided water at a low cost. Also cheap to purchase from local shops. Factory visits: I understand these need to be included. But the time spent at them needs to be addressed by TAD/guides. When a visit blows out to 2 hours or more this is unacceptable. The hard sell is unacceptable. The pressure to buy is unacceptable..... but wait there is more! is unacceptable. Many of us on our trip waited outside for long periods of time. My suggestion would be that a time frame be put on the visit and all parties must depart by a set time. Itinerary additions and things missing: The TAD itinerary and optional tours needs to be updated as things have changed on the ground. The Golden Mask Dynasty Show is not operational at present, so this was changed to include the Summer Palace and the Beijing Zoo Panda House. In Xi'an the City Wall tour was an optional addition (120 RMB pp) not listed in the itinerary, as was the visit to a Caligraphy house to learn about Chinese writing. In Shanghai the the half day city tour did not inlcude Yu Garden (no reason given). We visited the Jin Mao Tower and did a ride on the MagLev train to and from the airport. Further suggestions: Limiting the size of tour groups to no more than 30 would be ideal. We had 42 on our bus and it was clearly a lot of people for the guides to manage. It would be great to include a Beijing city tour, highlighting buildings, history, culture and learning more about it as the poilitical home of China. Xi'an - it was disappointing that we did not get to see the Everybright city at night. The priority seemed to be dinner at a far off distant restaurant on the way back to our out of town hotel. Most of the tour participants would have foregone dinner to stay at Everybright until after dark and get their own dinner from the many places available. We had to depart by 7.30pm and it was not dark. The visit to Wuxi is a waste of time in the itinerary. The only reason I could see was the Pearl Factory visit. Lihu Park is lovely, but not a necessary 'must see' destination. I would rather an extra day in any of the other cities on the itinarary. In Shanghai, more time at the History Museum would have been good. We had 30 minutes. At least one hour would have been more appropriate to take in the vast amount of displays and information. The need to hire earpieces to listen to the tour guides in Beijing and Xi'an at 20RMB per person needs to be included in the costs. While not a huge cost, for those travelling with a set budget this is not accounted for. Accurate optional extra costs need to be listed in full and at current pricing to avoid confusion for participants. Overall, we had an excellent trip and China certainly exceeded our expectations.

We enjoyed the ease of not having to worry about where we are going each day. All the pick ups and drop offs worked very well. The hotels were good especially the one in Beijing. I would suggest skipping Hangzhou and adding an extra night in Shanghai. Reducing time spent in french quarter , China Town and museum and skipping the waterfront during the day. The tour guide Terry in Beijing was not a pleasant at all. He was not professional. The rest of the tour guides Richard and Eric were the best.

I would suggest that the holiday have more things to do. There were a lot of free time and there isnt a grest deal to do , also the trip over to the hilton was to long and boring with very little to do on the way. Also you need to add the hotel taxes to the cost of the trip as we seemed to be psying taxes all the time were it would have been easer if it was in the total cost. Dont get me wrong the holiday was great but not budy enough. I feel when you travel that far you need to see as much as you can. We could have had a cit tour but the guide said no because it was to hard in the bus.

Loved the tour except my flight was cancelled after arriving in shanghai to beijing and i was left stranded at the airport after rescheduling with a different airline in beijing at 2am in the morning with no one to pick us up with the rest of the tour people. I had to negotiate with a taxi driver who didnt understand english we arrived at our hotel at 5.30 am in the morning. Our tour guide was Adam he wasnt a good tour guide he didnt take us to tianamen square which he could have just to view it as other groups went there, he wasnt very informative either and his personality didnt suit being a tour guide. china east airlines the food was below standard and served luke warm. It was a great trip with plenty of variety at the different places we went to. The local guides were all good. Especially our guide Nini Nguyen at Hoi An who was extremely good at her job . She was humorous, full of energy and would help with anything that we asked about. She was the best guide that we have had on any tours we have done over the years. She made the trip memorable. The guide in Siem Reap , Phlong Chanbora was also excellent. Like Nini at Hoi An his English was excellent and easier to understand than some of the other guides.
