How do I pay onboard a Swan Hellenic cruise?
The onboard currency is USD, with any onboard spending added to your final bill. It’s worth taking a debit or credit card in case of any problems paying your bill. Remember to tell your bank before travelling to avoid having your card refused.
Can I bring my own alcohol onboard?
Swan Hellenic cruises include all non-alcoholic and select alcoholic beverages, so there’s no need to bring your own alcohol.
Do I need a passport to take a Swan Hellenic cruise?
All guests are required to have a valid passport to travel.
Although domestic cruises may not strictly require a passport (please check the local government website for your home country in these cases), Swan Hellenic strongly recommends a passport be used.
Are Swan Hellenic cruises family-friendly?
Antarctic and Arctic expedition cruises to remote areas are unsuitable for children under 8. For all other cruises, the minimum age for children is 6 years. The number of children per cruise is also limited. For all children booked under the age of 8, a waiver must be signed.
Please note that ships do not carry parkas or boots in children’s sizes so parents must arrange to bring suitable equipment for their children.
Will the ship have Wi-Fi?
Swan Hellenic ships are equipped with the latest satellite internet technology. Guests can enjoy the convenience of complimentary Wi-Fi for messaging and visiting selected news websites.
Want more? Premium Wi-Fi packages can be purchased during your cruise on select ships. Internet access fees vary and are subject to change.
What are the staterooms like?
All Swan Hellenic Cruises staterooms include a welcome bottle of champagne, snacks and a well-stocked minibar. There’s also an Illy Espresso coffee machine, tea facilities, smart HDTV, free Wi-Fi, a personal safe, and a pair of Nikon Prostaff 3S 10x42 binoculars to watch for wildlife.
Each cabin stateroom features individually controlled air-conditioning and has fluffy bathrobes and bedroom slippers for each guest, a hairdryer, and a selection of high-quality towels. There are also high-quality Lajatica toiletries to transform your ensuite into a personal spa.
What is a Zodiac experience like?
A Zodiac will transport you ashore for landings where you’ll get to explore remote destinations on foot. This allows for close-up wildlife encounters and unique cultural experiences. You’ll need to wear waterproof boots and trousers as you’ll participate in wet landings. This is when the boat pushes onto land and you’ll step into the water to walk up onto the shore. Transport by Zodiac is included in your cruise fare.
