Today, dock in Osaka, your gateway to Kyoto. At once a modern metropolis and a bastion of traditional Japanese culture, Kyoto is home to more than 1,600 Buddhist temples, 400 Shinto shrines and 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Just a 30-minute train journey from Osaka, see the iconic red gates of Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine. Then, stroll through Nishiki Market and pick up yakitori grilled chicken for a snack, and take in a panoramic view of the city from Kyoto Tower. Your ship docks here overnight so you can explore more of this destination.

Day 7 Miyazaki (Aburatsu), Japan

Arrive: 09:00 - Depart: 19:00

Miyazaki Prefecture abounds with gorgeous beaches, historic sites and great food.

Catch a wave at palm-tree-lined Aoshima Beach, then head up to the seaside shrine of Udo, which overlooks the dramatic cliffs and coastline. Explore the ancient samurai town of Obi, where you'll find the ruins of historic Obi Castle. Before you go, stop into a local restaurant for tender, marbled Miyazaki Wagyu beef served hot-pot style.

Today, dock in Taiwan's Keelung, your gateway to Taipei. Take a short trip from Keelung into Taipei, learn more about the city's history and traditions at Long Shan Temple, dating back to the 1600s in the early days of the Qing Dynasty. Then, head to Jiufen Old Street to take in some of stunning views of the bay and mountains as you wander through picturesque streets lined with quaint, traditional buildings — pop into one of the small, family-run spots here serving up fish ball soup with vermicelli noodles.

Among the world's most glamorous and cosmopolitan cities, Hong Kong sits on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River estuary of the South China Sea. It comprises Hong Kong Island, where the Central Business District and some of the most affluent areas and attractions are, as well as the mainland, Kowloon and the New Territories. Hong Kong is a regional and global hub for banking, shipping, fashion and food, boasting more than 60 Michelin-starred restaurants. Its five-star hotels are among the most elegant to be found in the world; many are set in the towering skyscrapers that carpet Hong Kong Island's steep slopes and light up its skyline so beautifully.

Officially known as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong maintains a high degree of autonomy relative to the rest of China, even after it was reunified with China in 1997 after 156 years of British rule ended. It's definitely a great city in which to spend a day or two sightseeing and finding cultural things to do before your voyage.

Japan
In January, Japan experiences cold mid-winter weather characterised by crisp, dry, and predominantly sunny days along the Pacific Coast and major ports like Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, and Nagasaki. High temperatures along these regions typically range between 8°C and 12°C during the day, with crisp night-time lows averaging around 1°C to 6°C. Precipitation is at its lowest annual levels across the main cities, offering bright, clear skies ideal for exploring, provided you dress warmly in thermal layers and heavy winter coats for the chilly morning and evening air.

FLIGHTS
Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points:
We do not arrange seat selection. It is essential to highlight that some airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the airline directly with seating allocation requirements and/or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the airline once you have your flight information.

Dietary Requests
Meal options and availability differ between airlines and routes therefore not all dietary requests can be accommodated. If your flight includes meals we will select the most suitable option available based on the dietary requirements you have specified. All meal requests are subject to airline approval and are not guaranteed, therefore we recommend preparing for your flight by bringing appropriate food for yourself, as required. 

Passport Validity:
Customers must provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 90 days before the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. Customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred in this instance.

CRUISE
Embarkation / Disembarkation:
• Begins approximately 2 hours after docking.
• Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing.
• Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.
• Check your specific sailing for exact departure and arrival times. All times are local to the port.

COACH TOUR
Meals:
For meals not included, the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. It is your responsibility to notify us of any dietary requests/requirements. 

Please note: We will do our best to meet your requests/requirements; however, we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.

Luggage:
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on tour. You must carry your own luggage from the vehicle to the hotel room and back to the vehicle. The driver will assist with the uploading and unloading of bags from the vehicle.

Fitness Level Required:
Adventure (and spontaneity) create some of the best travel memories. Bear in mind, your home schedules and timings might not be adhered to on tour - it's all part of the fun!

A relaxed level of fitness will be required. 
Expect a comfortable pace of touring with a focus on leisure time and gentle activity. This may include city tours, the ability to walk up and down small flights of stairs and gentle slopes. You will be responsible for your own luggage and have the ability to board all modes of transport without assistance. Please note: Some areas may be inaccessible to wheelchairs or mobility scooters, with personal walking sticks and other aids required should they be needed. Although some assistance may be available, every traveller should be self-reliant during all aspects of their travel.

Yellow Fever:
A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate upon arrival.
You must check with your doctor well before leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you'll be visiting.

Sightseeing:
Please note: If entry to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary, where possible, may be adjusted, or a similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).

Shopping: 
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all your receipts. 
Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader.

Taiwan:
Taiwan has restored the visa-exempt entry scheme for nationals of designated countries, including Australia. Please see Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs website for the visa-exempt entry requirements and restrictions.
You won't need a visa for Taiwan if you meet all these conditions:
• You'll only stay for up to 90 days
• You're visiting for tourism or business
• You have a confirmed return or onward air ticket
• Your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of your entry
• You're not travelling on an emergency passport
Entry and exit conditions can change. Contact the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) for details about visas, currency, customs and quarantine rules.

Starting October 1, 2025, all non-Taiwan passport holders entering Taiwan will be required to complete an online Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) prior to entry. The paper version will no longer be provided. Travelers must fill out the form within 3 days before arrival. One person may submit information on behalf of up to 16 travelers.

This includes booking changes requested by you, including but not limited to those changes requiring an airline ticket or a Purchase Confirmation reissue.

Supplier Fees
In the event the tour package you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a Travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the tour due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event we are unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee.
