This morning depart Australia (or New Zealand) for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a tour representative and transferred to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel you will begin your tour to Angkor Wat, the most balanced and harmonious Khmer temple in Cambodia. Marvel at its Khmer art, which reached the height of its glory in the 12th century.
See the south gate of Angkor Thom, then visit the Terrace of Elephants, which used to be a base for the king’s grand audience hall. The Terrace of the Leper King previously housed the royal crematory. Continue on to visit Ta Prohm Temple, which has been deliberately left as it was discovered.
Finish the day back in Siem Reap where you will enjoy a traditional Khmer welcome dinner including an Apsara dance show followed by an evening at leisure.

Today depart for Cambodia’s largest freshwater lake, Tonle Sap. Classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the lake feeds the Mekong River during the dry season and swells during monsoons. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh.
Here you will board a local boat at the riverbank for an approximate 30-minute ride to Kompong Phluk, the largest floating village on the lake, where you’ll spend the rest of the morning. Here, observe with fascination as the Cambodian villagers go about their day, gaining a better sense of how their lives are shaped by the water’s rhythms. This 'floating village' includes floating schools, police stations and much more, and the 'village' moves from place-to-place following water levels.
Finish up back in Siem Reap where you may enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, drive approximately 165 kilometres to Battambang, a beautiful town known for its architecture, influenced by its French colonial history.
Along the way visit a family-made stone carving workshop in the Preah Net Preah district. Then explore Phnom Sampeau Mountain, steeped in legend, topped by Wat Sampeau's colourful temple and a group of caves used as ‘killing caves’ by the Khmer Rouge, containing the skeletal remains of their victims. Later in the afternoon, watch the unbelievable scenes of millions of bats flying out of the cave.
Once in Battambang, check into the hotel where you may enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, visit Battambang's famous bamboo train village to enjoy a ride on this unique Cambodian train that sees flatbed rail cars run along the abandoned Colonial-era rail lines.
Then continue onwards to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Along the way visit a fish market and a silversmith village in Kampong Chhnang.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel where you will enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Today, take a tour of the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious 'Killing Fields' of Choeung Ek, gaining a deeper insight into the painful rule of the Khmer Rouge.
Afterwards you will be transferred back to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure, or alternatively you may join an optional tour of the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.

At approximately 13:00 you will be picked up for your afternoon Phnom Penh sightseeing tour. Start by visiting the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King. The building is a fine example of beautiful Cambodian architecture and the lush gardens that surround the palace provide a beautiful backdrop as you explore.
Next visit the sacred Silver Pagoda, an extravagant temple that is named after the 5 tonnes of gleaming silver that cover the temple floors.
Afterwards return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

After breakfast, continue onwards to Kampot, where you will check into your hotel.
