Overview

Recognised as a premier global destination and a food hub, Singapore is the starting point for this 9-day adventure, taking you on a four-night cruise to Malaysia and Thailand with Royal Caribbean.

Your time in Singapore begins with two days at leisure to explore the capital. See the spectacular indoor waterfall in the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay, wander historic Chinatown and Little India, visit vibrant Orchard Road or find your own way to Raffles Hotel for afternoon tea (additional charges apply).

Step on board your cruise ship, either the Navigator of the Seas or Quantum of the Seas (depending on departure dates) and sail overnight to Penang, Malaysia. The Navigator of the Sea offers big, bold water fun with the longest waterslide at sea and epic splash zones. Soak up next-level nightlife and dining from Jamie Oliver’s Jamie’s Italian to amazing tacos at El Loco Fresh®. The Quantum of the Seas brings together next level fun with pools, a FlowRider Surf Simulator and Ricord by iFly, an onboard skydiving experience along with amazing restaurants, entertainment and nightlife.

In Malaysia, rise and shine in George Town, where a short walk will take you to the city's UNESCO World Heritage zone, home to 18th-century Fort Cornwallis. Explore the city at your leisure, perhaps take the funicular to the top of Penang Hill or head to Batu Ferringhi Beach to relax.

Cruise to the popular island paradise of Phuket in Thailand, where you can see the local Elephant Sanctuary, hang with the macaques on Monkey Hill or choose optional excursions to the famed beaches of Kata Noi or the coastal islands like James Bond Island, featured in ‘The Man With the Golden Gun’ (additional charges apply). After cruising the Strait of Malacca, your cruise concludes back in Singapore.

This incredible package includes return international flights, a four-night cruise, three nights of 4-star hotel accommodation, plus all meals while cruising.

Want more? Tailor your experience by upgrading your cabin or extending your holiday with Arrive Early and Stay Behind options.

Other important information

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
Singapore
• October – November: Singapore experiences warm, tropical weather with average daytime highs around 31°C–32°C. Rainfall during these months generally takes the form of brief, heavy afternoon thunderstorms that clear up quickly.
• December – March: December and January bring slightly higher rainfall and overcast skies during the monsoon surge. By February and March, conditions transition into drier, sunnier weather, making late summer to early autumn in the region one of the best times for outdoor sightseeing.

Penang, Malaysia
• October – November: October is historically Penang’s wettest month as the island transitions through the monsoon changeover. Rain typically falls in heavy afternoon downpours, while mornings often remain bright and dry.
• December – March: From December onwards, Penang enters its driest and sunniest window of the year. Expect clear skies, calm seas, lower humidity, and warm temperatures averaging 28°C–32°C, ideal for exploring historic George Town or taking island excursions.

Phuket, Thailand
• October – November: October marks the final stretch of the rainy Southwest Monsoon, featuring higher rainfall and occasional rough seas. November brings a rapid improvement in weather as rain eases off and ocean conditions calm down.
• December – March: Phuket experiences its prime travel season during these months, driven by dry continental breezes from the Northeast Monsoon. Days are filled with clear blue skies, warm sun (27°C–32°C), and tranquil waters, creating ideal conditions for swimming, island-hopping, and diving.

Please note: We will do our best to meet your requests/requirements; however, we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.

Luggage:
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on tour. You must carry your own luggage from the vehicle to the hotel room and back to the vehicle. The driver will assist with the uploading and unloading of bags from the vehicle.

OTHER
Mobility:
If you require wheelchair access please contact our friendly sales and service team to inquire on your behalf.

Fitness Level Required:
Adventure (and spontaneity) create some of the best travel memories. Bear in mind, your home schedules and timings might not be adhered to on tour - it's all part of the fun!

A relaxed level of fitness will be required.
Expect a comfortable pace of touring with a focus on leisure time and gentle activity. This may include city tours, the ability to walk up and down small flights of stairs and gentle slopes. You will be responsible for your own luggage and have the ability to board all modes of transport without assistance. Please note: Some areas may be inaccessible to wheelchairs or mobility scooters, with personal walking sticks and other aids required should they be needed. Although some assistance may be available, every traveller should be self-reliant during all aspects of their travel.

Please note: It is expected that every traveller must be self-reliant and able to undertake all aspects of their own travel. Please speak to your booking agent about your personal circumstances and any assistance requirements to ensure this tour is right for you.
Please note: If you have any concerns, please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.

Yellow Fever:
A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate upon arrival. You must check with your doctor well before leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you'll be visiting.

Sightseeing:
Please note: If entry to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary, where possible, may be adjusted, or a similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).

Wildlife sighting:
TripADeal cannot guarantee animal sightings on tour. Wildlife are unpredictable and factors such as weather conditions, predatory fear and animal movements can impact sightings.

Shopping:
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all your receipts. Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions regarding shopping for further information.

Visas

Singapore
Australian passport holders do not require a visa for stays of less than 90 days in Singapore.

Malaysia
A 90-day tourist visa will generally be granted upon arrival into Malaysia if travelling on an Australian Passport. Effective December 2023, all foreigners entering Malaysia will be required to complete the "Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)" at least 3 days prior to their arrival. This applies to all travellers, except for those transiting or transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance, Malaysian permanent residents and Malaysian Automated Clearance System (MACS) holders. For more information regarding the MDAC, please visit https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main.

Thailand
Australians are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online prior to arrival. Travellers must register online within 3 days prior to arriving in Thailand. They can do so here.

Important:
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.
• Visa rules are subject to change. Please check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination/s you are visiting once you receive your travel documentation to ensure you have the most up to date information.
• It is your responsibility to be travel-ready and ensure that you are aware and comply with any destination or travel requirements, including the validity of all required travel documents.
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.
