Frequently Asked Questions
Want to know more about Celebrity Cruises
Are gratuities included?

A service charge is already included in the fare for bookings made with an Australian-based agency including TripADeal. These are distributed to crew members, including dining, bar and culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, hotel services and other teams.

All pre-cruise purchases, including beverage packages, are inclusive of service charges. Any beverages or other purchases made onboard have service charges included in the listed price.

Guests will still have the option to reward the crew for exceptional service by providing a gratuity at their own discretion.

How do I pay onboard a Celebrity Cruise?

Your SeaPass is your room key and onboard charge card and will be waiting in your stateroom or mailbox upon arrival. Use it for purchases at bars, dining and venues, and to access exclusive areas if you’re booked in a Retreat, Concierge, or AquaClass stateroom. Check your balance via the Celebrity Cruises App, in-room TV (where available), or Guest Relations. Your linked credit card may be authorised for large amounts and charged at the end of the cruise.

Please note: All onboard prices are in US dollars.

Can I bring my own alcohol onboard?

On Celebrity Cruises, you can bring up to two 750ml bottles of wine per stateroom on embarkation day, but beer or hard liquor are not allowed.  Purchased alcohol from ports or onboard shops will be stored and delivered on the last day of the sailing.

Do I need a passport to take a Celebrity Cruise?

You will need to present an accepted form of identification to board the ship. Celebrity Cruises strongly recommends that all guests present a passport as their form of ID on boarding day, and for guests travelling to international ports, a passport is required.

The passport must be valid for six months after the day your cruise ends. The name on your passport should match the name on your reservation.

Are there Adults-Only areas on Celebrity Cruises?

Yes, Celebrity Cruises offers adults-only areas, most notably the Solarium, which features a pool, hot tubs, and lounge chairs for relaxation.

While the Solarium is the primary adults-only area, Celebrity Cruises also has other areas that cater to adults, such as bars, lounges and nightclubs.

Will the ship have WI-FI?

If you have booked a Celebrity Cruise with the "All Included" package, Basic Wifi will be included in your fare. You will have the option to upgrade to Premium Wi-Fi for a reduced rate.

How do I check in for my cruise?

You can check in online or through the Celebrity Cruises app, 45 days before your cruise and up to 3 days before, using your reservation number and last name.

Are Celebrity Cruises family-friendly?

Yes, Celebrity Cruises can be family-friendly, offering a variety of activities and amenities geared towards kids and families, including a camp program for ages 3 to 17, diverse excursions, and holiday celebrations.

Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise. However, for certain cruises (transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, etc.), the infant must be at least 12 months old.
