This evening, you will be staying at the spectacular Serafinos, surrounded by vines and ancient gum trees overlooking the magnificent lake. The Serafino story started in 1964, when Steve (Serafino) Maglieri arrived in Australia from Italy as a passionate teenager full of dreams. Today Steve’s daughter, Maria Maglieri is at the helm of Serafino Wine’s 300 acres of prime McLaren Vale vineyards.

You will have today at your own leisure to explore the beautiful Barossa. We recommend exploring Barossa’s premium food, wine and rich heritage on the quality sealed cycling trail from Angaston to Gawler via the three main townships of Nuriootpa, Tanunda and Lyndoch.
The trail is a fantastic way to explore the region, some of the highlights include:
• Ride the trail to Angaston and experience Yalumba, Australia's most historic family-owned winery for six generations, which was established in 1849. This magnificent estate is located near the town of Angaston in Eden Valley in the Barossa region. Highly recommended!
• An icon of the Barossa, the Chateau Tanunda, which was established in 1890.
• Peter Lehmann Wines, a fifth-generation Barossan who established the winery in 1979.
For those wanting to get off the trail, you can head to the Seppeltsfield Barossa Historic Winery Estate, established in 1851. Often regarded as one of Australia’s most successful wine dynasties, the Seppelt family maintained ownership of their wine interest until 1985. Now owned by viticulturist and winemaker Warren Randall, who worked for the Seppelt family during the 1980s, and is passionate to continue the Seppelt family legacy.
Another recommended stop would be at Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, one of Australia’s most well-known culinary icons. Inspired by the Barossa Valley’s abundance of fresh produce, Maggie is a respected mentor to many in the area and is celebrated for her entrepreneurial skills and natural leadership abilities in the gourmet food arena.
