Frequently Asked Questions
Want to know more about Disney Cruise Line
Are gratuities included?

On a Disney cruise, the incredible Crew Members work their magic every day to create unforgettable moments just for you! As a way to sprinkle a little appreciation for their exceptional service, gratuities are customary.

The recommended gratuity is paid in USD and is based on your stateroom type. You can pre-pay optional gratuities online before boarding, or they’ll be automatically added to your onboard account.

If you’d like to adjust or modify your gratuities, just stop by Guest Services, where the friendly Crew Members will be delighted to assist you.

How do I pay onboard a Disney cruise?

Aboard your Disney cruise, there’s no need to worry about carrying cash. You can simply charge your onboard delights to your stateroom for a hassle-free experience! From enchanting dining to magical souvenirs, every transaction is conveniently processed in USD, so you can focus on making memories that will last a lifetime.

Can I bring alcohol onboard?

Guests 21 years and older are permitted to bring two unopened 750ml bottles of wine or champagne, or six beers (no larger than 12 ounces). These can be taken on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on bags or luggage.

For round-trip cruises from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Brisbane, guests aged 18 years of age and older can bring the same allocation of alcohol onboard.

Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $29 USD per bottle.

Do I need a passport to take a Disney cruise?

For cruises that only visit Australian ports, a valid passport or government-issued photo ID is required for all guests.

If your Disney cruise itinerary includes visits to countries other than Australia, a valid passport is required for all guests. Many countries require passports to be valid for six months after the completion of your travel. Therefore, check your passport to verify it will be valid for this period.

Are Disney cruises family-friendly?

The joy of sailing with Disney cruises is that there’s fun and relaxation for the whole family. From family game shows and fireworks at sea to Broadway-style spectaculars, something is enchanting around every corner.

Little explorers can meet their favourite Disney characters, dive into imaginative play at Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney’s Oceaneer Lab and splash into excitement in themed pools. Grown-ups can enjoy their moments of magic with endless entertainment and unforgettable experiences.

A Disney cruise is where lifelong memories set sail!

Are there adults-only areas on Disney cruises?

Absolutely! Each Disney cruise ship offers exclusive spaces for guests 18 and older.

Unwind in true Disney style by sipping cocktails in a nightclub, taking a dip in the serene Quiet Cove Pool, indulging in an exquisite dining experience at Palo, or relaxing at one of the many Adult Exclusive bars and lounges onboard, or re-energising with a workout in the state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Whether you're looking to relax, recharge or revel in the magic, these enchanting escapes are designed just for you!

Will the ship have Wi-Fi?

Disney Cruise Line offers multiple internet packages, allowing you to stay connected easily while onboard. Packages can be purchased during your cruise from the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Internet access fees vary and are subject to change.

How do I check in for my cruise?

Prepare for your cruise at home by downloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to complete the Online Check-In. This will allow you to view required documents, select your preferred arrival time, and more.
