How do I pay onboard an AmaWaterways cruise?
Europe
All onboard charges will be in Euros. Charges are payable in cash or credit card.
Vietnam & Cambodia
All onboard charges are in Vietnamese Dong. Charges are payable in cash (USD or Vietnamese Dong) or with a credit card.
Africa
All onboard charges are in USD. Charges are payable in cash (USD, South African Rand, Botswanan Pula and Tanzanian Shilling) or credit card (excluding American Express).
Egypt
All onboard charges are in Egyptian Pounds. Charges are payable in cash or credit card (excluding American Express). You can also request your credit card be charged in USD.
Please note that traveller’s cheques and pre-paid charge cards are not accepted.
Do I need a passport to take an AmaWaterways cruise?
All guests are required to have a valid passport to travel.
Are AmaWaterways River cruises family-friendly?
Guests under the age of 18 are to travel in a stateroom with an adult and must remain supervised at all times. Children under the age of 5 are not recommended onboard as AmaWaterways does not provide child-specific programs or child-minding facilities.
For African itineraries, there is a minimum age limit of 12 years old unless otherwise agreed upon by AmaWaterways.
Will the ship have Wi-Fi?
Europe
High-speed internet is available free of charge throughout the ship.
Vietnam & Cambodia
Free internet and Wi-Fi are available in the lounge on computer stations.
Africa
Free Wi-Fi is available but may be limited or sporadic during certain times of the day due to remote locations.
Are excursions included?
Europe
A sightseeing tour is included in each city or town you visit. These can take place on foot, via motor coach or a combination of the two. A qualified, licensed English-speaking local guide or your Cruise Manager leads each tour. In select cities, you can also choose a guided bicycle tour.
Vietnam & Cambodia
A sightseeing tour is included at each location. These can take place on foot, via motor coach and local boat, or a combination of both. A qualified English-speaking local guide leads each tour.
Africa
All excursions are included.
