What dining options cost extra on Carnival Vista?

While Carnival Vista offers a great selection of included dining, there are several specialty restaurants and experiences that come with an extra charge.

  • Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse: This is the ship's premium steakhouse, offering high-quality cuts of meat, seafood, and classic steakhouse sides in an upscale setting.
  • JiJi Asian Kitchen: A specialty restaurant serving modern Asian cuisine for dinner.
  • Cucina del Capitano: While it often offers a complimentary lunch (like a pasta bar), dinner at this Italian restaurant usually comes with an extra fee.
  • Seafood Shack: This New England-style seafood spot offers fresh seafood, including lobster, crab, and other market-price items.
  • Bonsai Sushi: For fresh sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese specialties. While some ships have a Bonsai Sushi Express that is included, the sit-down Bonsai Sushi typically has a la carte pricing.
  • The Chef's Table: This is a very exclusive, multi-course dining experience with a limited number of guests, often including a galley tour and interaction with the ship's chefs.
  • JavaBlue Café: For specialty coffees, teas, and pastries beyond the standard complimentary options.
  • Cherry on Top: This is a confectionery shop where you can purchase candy chocolates, and other sweet treats.
  • Select Room Service Items: While basic room service is complimentary, some premium items like certain hot meals, wings, or specific snacks will have an additional charge.
  • Beverages: Alcoholic beverages, specialty non-alcoholic drinks (like certain sodas, fresh juices, bottled water, and specialty coffees from venues like JavaBlue Café), are generally not included in your base fare and will cost extra.

What bar and entertainment options does Carnival Vista have?

Carnival Vista offers an impressive array of bar and entertainment options. You'll find over a dozen distinct bars and lounges, from the mixology-focused Alchemy Bar and the vibrant Havana Bar with its Latin flair, to the casual RedFrog Pub & Brewery, which even brews its own beer, and the lively Piano Bar 88 for sing-alongs. For entertainment, guests can enjoy high-energy Playlist Productions shows, laugh out loud at the Punchliner Comedy Club, catch the latest blockbusters at IMAX at Sea (at an extra cost), or watch movies under the stars at poolside Dive-In Movies. Beyond the main venues, there's also a bustling casino, various live music acts, karaoke, game shows like Family Feud Live, and unique attractions like the SkyRide suspended bike course and the thrilling Carnival WaterWorks slides.

How do you make reservations when on board Carnival Vista?

Booking reservations onboard the Carnival Vista are made mainly through the Carnival HUB App. This free app, accessible via the ship's Wi-Fi,  allows you to book specialty dining, manage Main Dining Room times, view daily activities, and even reserve shore excursions.

For dining, you can also head directly to the restaurant's host stand or call them from your cabin phone. If you need general assistance or are having app issues, the Guest Services desk is there to help. Keep in mind that popular restaurants and shows can fill up fast, so it's best to book early, either once you're onboard or even before your cruise if possible, through Carnival's "My Cruise Manager."
