Departing from Darwin around 7.00am begin the short journey to Corroboree Billabong on the Mary River Wetlands, home to the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. Enjoy viewing plenty of crocodiles plus a huge variety of birds and other local wildlife in their natural environment. The boat design allows you to get up close to the animals with plenty of opportunities to take amazing pictures as we cruise around this nature lovers paradise.

From here we travel past billabongs and head into the northern end of Kakadu National Park to the campsite, set up with permanently erected tents, hot shower and toilet facilities. Having lunch at camp we will then visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, a Gundjeihmi name for the local area and creek on land owned by the Mirarr clan. See the audio-visual presentations and Marrawuddi Gallery showcasing Aboriginal art by artists from within Kakadu and the wider region.

In the late afternoon travel for 30 minutes to the culturally significant Aboriginal art site, Ubirr, located within the East Alligator region of the park. Here you will view a wide range of ancient Aboriginal art which will be interpreted by your guide. Learn the story of the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for panoramic sunset views over the floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. Afterwards head back to our campsite at Jabiru where you’ll have time to shower and refresh while your guides prepare dinner before enjoying an evening with your fellow travellers and some stargazing.

Please note: Campsites feature private twin share, permanent pre-erected tents with beds and linen. All camps have hot shower and toilet facilities.

Overnight: Permanent Campsite
Meals included: Lunch;Dinner

Awake for breakfast this morning before we travel to one of the many waterfall areas within Kakadu National Park. During the shoulder months, we will visit Maguk and other waterfalls such as Gunlom Falls (made famous by the 1986 classic 'Crocodile Dundee') and Yurmikmik, and during the peak months of July to October we visit mainly Twin or Jim Jim Falls. Enjoy walking through monsoon forests, swimming in waterfalls and plunge pools, surrounded by escarpment and cliffs.

Spend the afternoon taking in the sheer beauty of your spectacular surrounds before we make our way back to camp for a hearty dinner and well-earned rest. Time permitting we may also take in a second rock art site at Nourlangie Rock. Here you can see how local Aboriginal people lived in this area through changing times. Environmental and social changes are reflected in the rock art and in the ground, where archaeologists have uncovered over 20,000 years of Aboriginal occupation.

Overnight: Permanent Campsite
Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch;Dinner

This morning begin travelling south to Pine Creek, a small town in the Katherine region made famous in 1970 by the discovery of gold, when pioneers were building the overland telegraph station.

Enjoy a refreshment stop before moving on to Edith Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfall and swimming areas in the NT. With both a top and bottom “pool” this afternoon you can enjoy this wonderful area. We will finish the day at our private camp near Katherine Gorge, relaxing with a cold beverage until dinner is ready.

Overnight: Permanent Campsite
Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch;Dinner

It’s up early this morning to get into Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge) for a 2 hour dawn boat cruise (optional and at your own expense, approximately $110) or walk along the sheer rock walls that make the area so spectacular. Those wanting to do a scenic helicopter flight will have a range of options taking in Nitmiluk Gorge, the Arnhem Land escarpment and local wildlife. Enjoy lunch here at the gorge in the beautiful picnic grounds.

A short drive later arrive at Top Didj Cultural Experience and meet Indigenous artist Manuel Parrikal who will teach you about Aboriginal culture and the significance of his painting style in this interactive activity.

End the day arriving back at our private campsite in the early evening.

Overnight: Permanent Campsite
Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch;Dinner

On your final leave the Katherine region for Litchfield National Park to explore the waterfalls, spring-fed streams and rugged sandstone escarpments via a comfort and refreshment break at the Adelaide River.

Discover the intriguing cathedral and magnetic termite mounds before we head to Buley Rockhole for an invigorating swim. A short journey later arrive at Florence Falls where you will enjoy a short hike and another final swim before heading back to Darwin accommodation at approximately 6.30pm.

Please note:
- The itinerary may change due to cultural reasons, seasonal changes, operational logistics and accessibility. Waterfalls may be closed by Park Authorities at any time and itineraries may be amended to reflect this.
- In recent years, Parks Australia have closed areas of Kakadu National Park with little warning to Tour Operators and the public. As such certain areas may not be accessible in particular between the shoulder periods of May-Jun and October. As such our itineraries must be fluid and we trust our professional guides to show you the best locations available. We have access to a number of waterfall locations to allow the best trip, including Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) the Yurmikmik Region (Motor Car Falls or Boulder Creek), Moline Rockhole, Gunlom Falls, Twin & Jim Jim Falls. If most of these locations are closed then we also have the option of visiting more waterholes in the Katherine region.

Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group.

They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.
