Welcome to Moscow. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative and transferred to the port to embark on your 11 night river cruise. Relax in the afternoon and then enjoy a musical evening and dinner onboard.

Today enjoy a Moscow city highlights bus tour, including Leningradsky Avenue, Tverskaya Street, Theatralny Passage, Lubyanka, KGB building, and Manezh Square. Afterwards enjoy some free time in the famous Red Square where you can see St. Basil’s Cathedral (entrance not included), which is one of the most recognisable monuments in Russia. As the tour continues, see the Historical Museum, the Resurrection Gate, the Kazan Church, the Intercession Cathedral, and the Kremlin Towers (entrances not included).

Enjoy a short stop for lunch at a local restaurant and then continue the tour, visiting the Kremlin, which translates to ‘fortress inside a city’, and is the official residence of the President of Russia. A real fortified town with its own squares, churches and cathedrals, the Kremlin is opened for visitors and is one of the most visited places despite the fact that it’s still the residence of Russian Government. The tour is capped off with the Palace of Congresses, the Senate Square, the residence of the President of the Russian Federation, Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon. Return to the ship in the late afternoon.

This morning enjoy a lecture about traditional Russian crafts onboard. In the afternoon enjoy a walking city tour of Uglich, a riverine tourist destination, located on the picturesque bank of the Volga River. The town is often included in the ‘Golden Ring’ of Russia. See Uglich’s Kremlin, Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood (a famous temple built on the site of the tragic death of Ivan the Terrible’s young heir) and the Transfiguration Cathedral, the third tallest church in Russia, which was built between 2001-2004. Afterwards, rejoin the ship and continue downstream towards Yaroslavl.

After breakfast, a coach will take you on a city tour of Yaroslavl’s UNESCO listed old quarter - well known for its 17th century temples. Among its highlights see the Prophet Church on the main square; go inside the Nikola Nadein Church, with its gilded baroque carvings; as well as the Governor’s House (Art Gallery). Rejoin the ship for lunch and continue to Goritsy. Relax in the afternoon or enjoy a Russian Tea Ceremony onboard, where you’ll learn about Russia’s tea culture and its history. After dinner this evening enjoy a documentary about Russian history.

This morning relax onboard. In the afternoon explore Goritsy, a tiny picturesque river town which is home to the Resurrection Convent, at leisure. From Goritsy a bus will take you to the town of Kirillov to tour one of the major Orthodox strongholds of Old Russia, the Monastery of St. Cyril on the White Lake. Founded in the 14th century, the monastery has preserved its remarkable architecture and fascinates visitors with majestic churches enclosed within its austere fortress walls. The monastery is also famous for its museum of icons some of them are the oldest in Russia. Return to the ship and sail on to Kizhi. Late this afternoon enjoy a Vodka and Blini tasting party onboard and also this evening enjoy a folk music concert.

Today dock on the island of Kizhi. Enjoy an afternoon walking tour of the island, which is located at the northern end of Onega Lake, the second largest in Europe. It was likely a site of pagan rites for Ugrian and Finnish tribes. Visit the open-air museum of different wood structures, including more than 70 chapels, belfries, log-houses, mills, bath-houses, and barns. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Pirate’s Dinner onboard and an evening show as the ship sails to Mandrogui.

After breakfast, enjoy free time in the small village of Mandroga. There’s plenty to see and do in town including visiting a museum, buying souvenirs (local wood carvings are amazing), or enjoying a hearty Russian meal with vodka or tea. Another attraction is the Museum of Vodka, which showcases the history of the drink and the production process (not included).

For lunch experience an outdoor BBQ in Mandrogui (subject to weather conditions) and taste “Shashlik”, a typical dish of skewered and grilled cubes of meat popular in Eastern Europe. In the evening, the Captain will invite you to an exclusive gala dinner as the ship sails on to Saint Petersburg.

Dock in Saint Petersburg this morning. After breakfast, enjoy a highlights city bus tour. See the Tauride (Tavrichesky) Palace, the Summer Garden, the Palace embankment, the Winter Palace, the Spire of the Basil Island, The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan and more. Join a walking tour to Peter and Paul Fortress, see the Boat House, Peter I Monument, Commandant’s House, Nevsky Gate, St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral. Enjoy lunch in a local city restaurant.

In the afternoon visit the famous Hermitage Museum (entrance included). One of the largest and oldest museums in the world, it was founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great and has been open to the public since 1852. The size of its collection is a staggering three million, of which only a small part is on permanent display. Visit the Egyptian Hall, War Gallery of 1812, St. George Hall, Peter the Great (Small Throne) Room, the Italian Art collection, which includes works by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian and Michelangelo; the Dutch Art collection including Rembrandt; and Spanish Art by Ribera and Velázquez.

Rejoin the ship at the end of the day. In the evening take the opportunity to join an optional tour to enjoy an unforgettable folk show (not included) with different forms of Russian art performed for your delight at the the Nikolaevsky Palace. The Palace is one of the most valuable national monuments, along with the Kremlin and Hermitage.

Drift back through 800 years of history as you amble through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, a scene straight out of a fairytale. Today, depart for Bialystok, on the banks of the Biała River. It is the gateway to many natural attractions of the Podlasie region. The location of the city, in a clean ecological region that is full of tourist attractions and a well-developed infrastructure, makes Bialystok and its surroundings an attractive place to live and relax. Continue your journey to the sprawling capital of Poland, Warsaw. Its widely varied architecture reflects the city's long, turbulent history, from Gothic churches and neoclassical palaces to Soviet-era blocks and modern skyscrapers. Walking through the city you can see how well the Polish capital was restored after almost complete obliteration during World War II. Pass the tiered Palace of Culture and stroll through Lazienki Park to the Chopin Memorial. Take a moment to reflect at the Ghetto Heroes Monument. Typical high temperatures in the warm months of June, July and August are around 23°C, but during heat waves, which can occur anytime from May to September, daytime temperature highs often top 30 °C for sometimes one or two weeks.
 
TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. 
 
Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.

Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase, or no later than 45 days prior to departure date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking. In this instance customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.
 
CRUISE
Disembarkation:
- Begins approximately 2 hours after docking.
- Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing.
- Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.
- Check your specific sailing for exact departure and arrival times. All times are local to the port.
 
Cruise Loyalty Discounts:
Please note: Travellers booked via TripADeal will not be entitled to receive any cruise line customer loyalty discounts. Similar to airline frequent flyer programs, this is outside of the TripADeal booking process. However, customers may contact the cruise line direct upon receiving their TripADeal travel documents to request any membership benefits they are entitled to. 
 
COACH TOUR (extension package only)
Meals:
Daily breakfast is included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. It is your responsibility to notify TripADeal of any dietary requests/requirements. Please note; we will do our best to meet your requests/requirements, however cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.
 
Luggage:
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.
 
Fitness Level Required / Mobility:
Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. 
Please note: a general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.
 
Gratuities / Tipping
Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip onboard the cruise is €7 (approx. $11 AUD) per person per day, which will be collected whilst onboard. For the extension package the recommended tip for the tour leader and driver is €5 (approx. $8 AUD) per person per day, which will be collected whilst on tour.
 
Sightseeing:
Please note: In the event entrance to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary will be adjusted to ensure you do not miss out on the experience.
 
Shopping:
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all of your receipts. Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in regards to shopping for further information. 
 

Russia
- A tourist visa for Russia is a strict requirement if travelling on an Australian passport.
- The visa is valid for 30 days for double entry and the final exit date must be no more than 30 days from the date of first entry. You must apply for this visa at least 6 weeks prior to departure from Australia.
- A valid voucher and official confirmation letter issued by a registered Russian tour agency will be provided to you through TripADeal. Please contact your nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate for instructions on how to apply in person or via post.
- TripADeal will provide you with further information in your Travel Pack.
  
Europe (22 Day Rivers of Russia with Baltic States Extension)
A Tourist visa for Europe is not required for stays up to 90 days if travelling on an Australian Passport.
 
Please note: Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. It is also important to note, some areas of employment such a journalism, government authorities and charity organisations may have additional restrictions in applying for Visas. This may in turn affect the type of application required.

Voluntary Changes


This includes booking changes requested by you, including but not limited to those changes requiring an airline ticket or a Purchase Confirmation reissue.

 

· 1st Change - $100.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· 2nd Change - $150.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Subsequent changes - $250.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Changes within 30 days of departure $350.00 person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

· Changes within 14 days of departure $500.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.

 

Name Changes Due To Passenger Error
· If the incorrect name has been advised to TripADeal, charges of $150.00 per person + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel provider.
