Our Story

2024

In June 2024, Qantas completed its full acquisition of TripADeal, making us a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group.

2022

Qantas acquired a majority stake in TripADeal, letting customers earn and use Qantas Frequent Flyer points on their holidays.

2021

To support our growing operations we opened a satellite office in Brisbane and then in Gold Coast the following year.

2018

TripADeal launched into the New Zealand market with Rugby Union legend Dan Carter as the NZ Brand Ambassador.

2017

The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) voted TripADeal 'Best Online Travel Agency.

2016

TripADeal was named Australia's fastest-growing business by the Financial Review for two consecutive years (2016 & 2017).

2011

TripADeal was founded in 2011 by Norm and Richard, two friends from Byron Bay who shared a love of travel.
