Cruise

Ship: MSC Armonia
A proud member of the Lirica class, the MSC Armonia offers a boutique, intimate cruise experience that celebrates classic seafaring charm. While newer mega-ships focus on sprawling, high-tech amusement concepts, the Armonia—meticulously lengthened and refreshed during MSC’s Renaissance Program, delivers a warm, navigable, and traditional Mediterranean-style ambiance. It features elegant, sunlit public spaces and a layout that allows guests to feel truly connected to the sea.

Dining
Dining on the MSC Armonia centres around rich Italian traditions and international flavours. The ship features two elegant main dining rooms, Marco Polo and La Pergola, which serve beautifully prepared multi-course menus that change daily. For a casual vibe, the Il Girasole and La Brasserie buffets offer a wide variety of stations, including a popular authentic Italian pizzeria, fresh salad bars, and a hot carving station. Key dining highlights include the Surf & Turf specialty restaurant, which pairs premium steaks with fresh seafood, and the outdoor Gelateria for artisanal treats by the pool.

Entertainment
The Armonia focuses on high-quality talent and lively, classic social spaces. The Teatro La Fenice is a stunning, traditional venue hosting broadway-style revues, magicians, and acrobats every evening. The Palm Beach Casino offers a vibrant setting with a variety of slot machines and classic table games. Nightlife thrives across the ship’s beautifully designed lounges, including the Red Bar for smooth melodies, the traditional White Lion English Pub for a pint and sports, and the futuristic Starlight Disco, where a live DJ spins tracks late into the night.

Activities
The Armonia offers a balanced mix of family fun and quiet adult wellness activities. The main pool deck features two crystal-clear swimming pools and relaxing whirlpools. For a thorough workout, the ship features a panoramic fitness centre powered by Technogym with floor-to-ceiling ocean views, alongside a dedicated outdoor power walking track. The MSC Aurea Spa provides a sanctuary of relaxation, offering authentic Balinese massages, a beauty salon, and a soothing thermal suite. For those looking for a quieter sanctuary away from the main pool areas, adults can purchase access to the exclusive Top 18 Solarium sun deck.

Family-Friendly
Families are exceptionally well-catered for with dedicated spaces designed in partnership with world-class brands. Younger children will love the Doremi Spray Park, an action-packed outdoor water play area on the top deck. Indoor youth spaces are split by age group, featuring the Baby Club (under 3) created with Chicco, the Mini Club (3-6) and Junior Club (7-11) built in partnership with LEGO, and the dedicated Young Club (12-14) and Teens Club (15-17) which offer video game consoles, foosball tables, and evening teen discos.

Technology
The Armonia blends its classic style with smart, modern conveniences. Interactive touchscreen kiosks are placed throughout the public decks to help guests easily check the daily schedule, look at ship maps, and book theatre show times. Cabins are equipped with interactive TVs where guests can review their onboard account and see the ship's daily itinerary. Guests can also utilise the MSC for Me app on their smartphones to view daily activities and stay connected while at sea.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide:
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader:
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

Visas

Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, & Greece
European Union Entry/Exit System (EES)
From October 12, 2025, a new European Entry System (EES) replaced the manual passport-stamping process for non-EU travellers. Upon arrival in the Schengen area, Australian and New Zealand passport holders will have their fingerprints recorded and a photograph taken. Their entry and exit dates will be electronically registered. No previous action is required, but please be aware of longer wait times at border entry. From 10 April 2026, the EES will be fully operational at all external border crossing points of all the European countries (Schengen area) using the system.

European Travel Information & Authorisation System (ETIAS)
As an extension of the EES implementation introduced in 2025, ETIAS travel authorisation is a mandatory entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals travelling to any of these 30 European countries, including Australian and New Zealand citizens, that will be introduced in 2026. We advise you to monitor smartraveller.gov.au closer to your departure to ensure you are up to date on the requirements at the time of entry.

Montenegro
Visa-free travel for short stays
You can stay for up to 90 days in 6 months without a tourist visa from the date of entry into Montenegro.

Important:
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.
• Visa rules are subject to change. Please check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination/s you are visiting once you receive your travel documentation to ensure you have the most up to date information.
• It is your responsibility to be travel-ready and ensure that you are aware and comply with any destination or travel requirements, including the validity of all required travel documents.
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.

Travel insurance

Embarking on your next trip is exciting, and while you hope the unexpected does not happen, it is best to be prepared. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance when making your booking. Whether it’s a potential medical emergency, a flight cancellation, a delayed suitcase, or an unforeseen event, it's important to ensure you're adequately protected.
