Take in sights such as Gran Vía which is known as ‘Spanish Broadway’ - the street that doesn't sleep, Plaza Espana, Puerta del Sol and Paseo de la Castellana. You'll also see the Puerta Toledo gate, Puerta de Alcala monument. Take the opportunity to explore the Royal Palace, official residence of the Spanish Royal Family or the historic Cathedral de Almudena (entrance fees not included).

Explore the city centre where you'll find the UNESCO-listed Silk Exchange, one of Valencia’s most beautiful buildings and idyllic Patio de los Naranjos courtyard full of orange trees. These cabins typically feature twin beds or a double bed, a private bathroom with a shower, storage space for belongings, a small desk or vanity area, and basic amenities.

Oceanview Cabins
Oceanview cabins on MSC Sinfonia offer the added benefit of a window or porthole, allowing passengers to enjoy natural light and views of the ocean. The size of Oceanview cabins are similar to inside cabins, ranging from around 12 to 22 m². They typically include the same amenities as inside cabins, with the addition of a window or porthole for views.

Balcony Cabins
Balcony cabins on MSC Sinfonia provide a private outdoor space where passengers can relax and enjoy the sea views. The size of balcony cabins can vary, but they generally range from around 16 to 26 m², including the balcony area. Balcony cabins typically feature twin beds or a double bed, a private bathroom with a shower, a sitting area, storage space, a desk or vanity area, and basic amenities. The balcony itself is usually furnished with chairs or loungers.

MSC Fantasia is a significantly larger ship than the MSC Sinfonia, belonging to the "Fantasia Class." Inside Cabins
Inside cabins on MSC Fantasia are a step up in size compared to the Sinfonia, averaging around 16 to 17 m². They are designed with a clever use of mirrors and lighting to feel bright and airy. You’ll find a comfortable double bed (convertible to two singles), a vanity area with a hair dryer, an interactive TV, and a mini-bar. These are the best "value" play if you plan on spending most of your time on the pool deck or in the lounges.

Oceanview Cabins
Ranging from 17 to 20 m², these cabins feature a large porthole or window that provides natural light and views of the sea. They offer the same amenities as the inside cabins but usually include a small armchair or a tiny sitting area, making them feel slightly more residential.

Balcony Cabins
These are the most popular choice on the Fantasia, typically measuring between 17 and 26 m² (including the balcony). They feature a floor-to-ceiling glass door leading to your private outdoor space with two chairs and a small table. Inside, you’ll find a dedicated sitting area with a sofa (often a sofa bed for 3rd/4th guests) and a spacious wardrobe.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide:
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader:
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

Spain:
This trio covers a lot of ground, from the Mediterranean coast to the high central plateau.
February – March:
Barcelona/Valencia: Mild and sunny. Highs of 14°C – 17°C; lows of 6°C – 8°C.
Madrid: Crisp and dry. Highs of 12°C – 15°C, but nights are cold, often dipping to 1°C – 4°C.

April – June:
The most comfortable time. Temperatures across all three cities range from 18°C to 26°C. Madrid begins to heat up significantly by late June.

July – August:
Coastal (Barcelona & Valencia): Humid and hot, averaging 28°C – 31°C.
Madrid: Dry, intense heat. Highs often exceed 33°C – 35°C, though low humidity makes it slightly more bearable than the coast.

September – October:
Temperatures retreat to a pleasant 20°C – 25°C. Valencia and Barcelona may see occasional autumn thunderstorms ("La Gota Fría").

Portugal (21-Day Extension Package)
Portugal’s weather is heavily influenced by the Atlantic, keeping it slightly cooler and greener than central Spain.
February – March:
Mild but often damp, especially in the North (Porto). Average highs are 14°C – 17°C, with nights around 8°C. The Algarve in the south will be the sunniest spot.

April – June:
Stunning spring weather. Temperatures sit between 18°C and 23°C. This is the best time for hiking and sightseeing before the summer crowds arrive.

July – August:
Lisbon/Algarve: Warm to hot, usually 27°C – 30°C. A consistent sea breeze (the Nortada) often keeps the heat from becoming stifling.
Interior: Areas near the Spanish border can spike to 35°C+.

September – October:
A "second summer." September remains warm (25°C), while October brings the start of the rainy season in the north, though temperatures stay mild at 18°C – 22°C

Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points:
We do not arrange seat selection. It is essential to highlight that some airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the airline directly with seating allocation requirements and/or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the airline once you have your flight information.

Dietary Requests:
Meal options and availability differ between airlines and routes therefore not all dietary requests can be accommodated. If your flight includes meals we will select the most suitable option available based on the dietary requirements you have specified. All meal requests are subject to airline approval and are not guaranteed, therefore we recommend preparing for your flight by bringing appropriate food for yourself, as required.

Passport Validity:
Customers must provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 90 days before the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. Customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred in this instance.

Luggage:
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on tour. You must carry your own luggage from the vehicle to the hotel room and back to the vehicle. The driver will assist with the uploading and unloading of bags from the vehicle.

Fitness Level Required:

European Union Entry/Exit System (EES)
From October 12, 2025, a new European Entry System (EES) replaced the manual passport-stamping process for non-EU travellers. Upon arrival in the Schengen area, Australian and New Zealand passport holders will have their fingerprints recorded and a photograph taken. Their entry and exit dates will be electronically registered. No previous action is required, but please be aware of longer wait times at border entry. From 10 April 2026, the EES will be fully operational at all external border crossing points of all the European countries (Schengen area) using the system.

European Travel Information & Authorisation System (ETIAS)
As an extension of the EES implementation introduced in 2025, ETIAS travel authorisation is a mandatory entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals travelling to any of these 30 European countries, including Australian and New Zealand citizens, that will be introduced in 2026. We advise you to monitor smartraveller.gov.au closer to your departure to ensure you are up to date on the requirements at the time of entry.

• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.

This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event we are unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee.
