Day 5 Portland, England, United Kingdom

Arrives: 07:00
Departs: 19:00

Portland Island and the mainland, including the nearby resort town of Weymouth, are connected by Chesil Beach. Renowned as the finest example of a barrier-type beach in Europe, Chesil Beach was formed around 10,000 years ago as glaciers receded and sea levels rose.

The rugged coastline of Dorset and the many attractions in the area are what make Weymouth such a popular vacation destination. The Old Harbour of Weymouth is an excellent Georgian-style harbour and one of the prettiest in Europe. It bustles with activity from large catamarans, fishing boats and yachts.

Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park displays over 1,000 incredible sea creatures including sea turtles, crabs, octopuses and sharks. The nearby Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens is an impressive walled garden set among 8 hectares of woodland. Portland Island offers stunning views across the Chesil Beach, Portland Harbour, Fleet Lagoon and Weymouth. The little egret, once a rare bird in Britain, is now regularly seen along these shores.

Please note: Charges may apply to the above activities.

Day 7 Cobh (Cork), Ireland

Arrives: 07:00
Departs: 17:00

Cork, Ireland’s second-largest city, takes belligerent pride in its history of rebellion. It was founded in the 7th century by St. Finbarr, for whom its first cathedral is named. Hardly less sacred to its citizens is the Cork City Gaol, where its rebel heroes often resided. Visit the Crawford Art Gallery for its collection of native Irish painters, and Blarney Castle for a look at feudal history (charges may apply). Nearby Cobh, formerly known as Queenstown, has an Emigration Centre tracing the history of the great Irish diaspora (charges may apply).

Please note: Your ship will dock in Cobh approximately 22 kilometres from Cork.

Overnight: Seabourn Ovation

Meals included: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 8 Fishguard, Wales, United Kingdom

Tendered: 08:00 - 18:00

Fishguard’s name in Welsh is Abergwaun, meaning the mouth of the River Gwaun. The English name comes from an Old Norse word for a fish trap, and indeed the community has profited from catching and drying herring for centuries. It has remained remarkably unchanged physically over the years. The waterfront has a traditional feel like many others in Pembrokeshire. At first glance, nothing would indicate that this is the site of the last invasion of Britain by a foreign power. But a bicentenary stone recalls the day in 1797 when 1400 French revolutionary troops landed here, only to be routed by the local folk. This includes a heroic woman shoemaker, named Jemima Nicholas, who rounded up more than a dozen dismayed invaders while armed with a pitchfork. A large tapestry depicting the struggle is on display in the Fishguard Town Hall (entry fees apply).

The surrounding South Wales countryside is dotted with medieval castles such as Pembroke and Picton Castles. Cardigan also has a notable garden called Dyffryn Fernant, and St. David’s boasts an impressive early cathedral and a Bishop’s Palace. Prehistoric Pembrokeshire is represented by the Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, a massive dolmen with an intact 15-ton capstone made of the same type of rock that formed the inner sanctum of Stonehenge.

Please note: This port is accessed by tender boats. Boarding and disembarking tender boats may involve steps and uneven surfaces. While cruise lines strive to provide ease of access, accessibility options can vary at different tender ports. Passengers with mobility concerns are encouraged to inquire about specific arrangements and consider their individual needs when participating in tendering activities.

Overnight: Seabourn Ovation

Meals included: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 9 Douglas, Isle of Man

Tendered: 08:00 - 18:00

The town of Douglas is the centre of the Isle of Man’s business, shipping, transport, shopping and entertainment. It derives its name from the early Celtic word Duboglassio, meaning black river. Located in the Irish Sea, equidistant from England, Scotland and Ireland, the Isle of Man is a self-governing possession of the British Crown and is not part of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, or an Overseas Territory, but instead holds a semiautonomous status. It is home to the world's oldest continuous parliament, known as the Tynwald Court.

Day 10 Rothesay, Isle of Bute, Scotland

Tendered: 08:00 - 18:00

Rothesay, standing along the Firth of Clyde, presents the visitor with a combination of illustrious gardens and grand architecture. The magnificent ruins of Rothesay Castle, which date from the 13th century, are what most people visualise when they think of a medieval castle (charges may apply). With a drawbridge, encircling moat, immense circular curtain wall and tall stone towers, Rothesay is unique in Scotland for its circular plan.

The ruins of St Blane's Chapel, a 6th century monastery, sit atop a hill with views over the Sound of Bute. For true elegance, visit the country estate of Mount Stuart House with its colonnaded Marble Hall and extraordinary Marble Chapel (entry fees apply). Built in the late 1870’s in the Gothic Revivalist style, it was constructed of reddish-brown stone and houses a library of 25,000 books.

The Ardencraig Gardens, sitting atop Canada Hill, feature a walled garden and exotic aviary. Ascog Hall Fernery, located on the grounds of a baronial-style house from 1844, is a beautiful garden with the oldest ferns in Britain (charges may apply).

Day 11 Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland

Arrives: 07:00
Departs: 18:00

The town of Greenock grew from a fishing village to become the site of the first dock on the River Clyde in 1711. Fishing and shipbuilding became its major industries and the area served as a jumping off point for passenger ships departing for Canada and the U.S, as well as many vital convoys during the Second World War.

The town’s maritime history is celebrated at the Custom House Museum and in the scale model of a 20-gun frigate suspended above the Sailor’s Loft of Old West Kirk (charges may apply). Built in 1591, Old West Kirk (church), contains a major collection of Pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows. Much of Greenock retains its impressive Victorian and heritage sandstone buildings. Majestic Victoria Tower, built in 1886, stands 75 metres tall. Traditional St John's Episcopal Church, historic Greenock Cemetery and the imposing massif of the 15th century Newark Castle speak to the city’s earliest days (charges may apply).

Please note: Your ship will dock in Greenock approximately 40 kilometres from Glasgow.

Overnight: Seabourn Ovation

Meals included: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 12 Belfast, Northern Ireland

Arrives: 08:00
Departs: 18:00

Belfast is Northern Ireland’s fun-loving and cosmopolitan capital. Its seat of government is in the Parliament Buildings nearby Stormont Castle, a beautiful baronial mansion. There is something of interest here for everyone including Victorian architecture, a glittering waterfront, modern art and over 90 Irish pubs.

The Giant's Ring, a 5,000-year-old stone ‘henge’ shows occupation here since the Bronze Age while the magnificent copper dome of Belfast City Hall dominates the city centre. Belfast is also the site of the memorial statue for R.M.S Titanic because it was here that the ship was built in 1909. Mixing the traditional with the ultra-modern, the Titanic Belfast Museum commemorates the fate of Titanic in its architecture (entry fees apply). Shaped like the great prow of the ocean liner, the museum’s exhibits tell the story of the ill-fated vessel.

Some additional icons of the city include the 34-metre Albert Memorial clock tower, the Belfast Castle and the twin spires of St. Peter's Cathedral. Discover art galleries, the Opera house, fountains, botanical gardens and a zoo in this dynamic city (charges may apply).

Overnight: Seabourn Ovation

Meals included: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 13 Oban, Scotland

Tendered: 08:00 - 18:00

Oban is a small town on the west coast of Scotland. The site began as a small fishing outpost and has been occupied as such for literally thousands of years. Rural in its roots, the modern-day village of Oban grew around the famed whisky distillery founded in 1794. Renowned for its 14-year-old malt whisky, the Oban distillery has become a tourist attraction, drawing many visitors to the area (charges may apply).

The rural feel of Oban is responsible for the abundance of wildlife within the town boundaries. Here, grey seals can be spotted swimming in the harbour or resting along the shore. A wide variety of land and seabirds are found throughout the area. On occasion dolphins and river otters also visit. A beautiful balance exists between this small town and the natural environment surrounding it, where the sounds of nature mingle with the melody of the streets.

Day 14 Ullapool, Scotland

Tendered: 08:00 - 18:00

The picturesque fishing town of Ullapool nestles on the shores of Loch Broom, in the Highlands. Its location is one of the more pristine natural environments in Britain. A diverse choice of walks in the area includes mountains, rocky coasts, forests and deep gorges. Dominating the landscape is the monolithic peak of Stac Pollaidh, standing at 610 metres. Nearby Corrieshalloch Gorge with its 46-metre Falls of Measach and the Inverpolly Nature Reserve allow you to experience the natural beauty of the Highlands. The geology of the area is highlighted by Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve and the fascinating Inchnadamph Bone Caves. Formed by water penetrating soft limestone, the caves contained 1,000 reindeer bones dating back as far as 47,000 years. Beside them were found the bones of four human beings, dating back 4,500 years.

Ullapool owns a reputation as a centre for music, the arts and performance. Explore the Ullapool Museum and the Leckmelm Shrubbery & Arboretum (charges may apply).

Please note: This port is accessed by tender boats. Boarding and disembarking tender boats may involve steps and uneven surfaces. Day 18 Disembark Dover - London, United Kingdom - Australia (or New Zealand)

Arrives: 07:00

Approaching the coast, ships are greeted by the ethereal White Cliffs of Dover. This iconic strip of milky-white land serves as England's welcoming beacon, its stark beauty becoming more apparent as you draw closer. The coastline unfurls like a grand tapestry, its white chalk cliffs streaked with black flint, rising majestically 100 metres straight from the sea's embrace.

The echoes of ancient times resonate from every corner of Dover. Archaeological treasures hint at the presence of human life during the Stone Age, painting a vivid picture of the region's rich history. However, it was the Romans who first recorded Dover's significance, drawn by its strategic location just 33 kilometres from the French mainland. Dover is home to remarkable Roman remnants, including the tallest Roman-built lighthouse still standing in Britain, as well as a well preserved Roman wall mural.

After breakfast this morning, and at the appropriate time, a coach transfer is arranged to the airport in London for your homeward bound flight.

Other important information

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
London
In April, London’s spring weather is mild and variable, with daytime highs typically around 12–15 °C and nighttime lows dipping to 6–8 °C; you can expect occasional light showers mixed with crisp, sunny intervals. By May, temperatures climb a bit warmer, with daytime highs averaging 15–18 °C and lows around 10–12 °C, making it one of the loveliest months for outdoor exploration—though light rain remains possible, it’s generally a comfortable time with longer daylight hours and blossoming parks.

Ireland
In May, both Cork and Belfast enjoy the fresh, mild weather of late spring, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 12°C to 16°C and cooler nights around 7°C to 9°C. The days are noticeably longer, offering extended daylight for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Rain is still possible—typical of Ireland—but showers are usually light and scattered. Parks and countryside are lush and green, with blooming flowers and lively local festivals starting to emerge, making it a charming time to visit both cities.

Scotland
In May, Scotland—including coastal and scenic stops like the Isle of Bute, Greenock, Oban, Ullapool, and Leith—experiences cool to mild spring weather, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 11°C to 15°C, and nighttime lows around 6°C to 8°C. Rain is always a possibility in Scotland, but May is generally one of the drier and brighter months, with longer daylight hours and blooming landscapes. The countryside is lush and vibrant, and coastal views are often strikingly clear, making it a beautiful time to explore historic towns, rugged coastlines, and cultural highlights without the summer crowds.

FLIGHTS
Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points
We do not arrange seat selection. It is essential to highlight that some airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the airline directly with seating allocation requirements and/or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the airline once you have your flight information.

Dietary Requests
Meal options and availability differ between airlines and routes therefore not all dietary requests can be accommodated. If your flight includes meals we will select the most suitable option available based on the dietary requirements you have specified. All meal requests are subject to airline approval and are not guaranteed, therefore we recommend preparing for your flight by bringing appropriate food for yourself, as required.

Passport Validity
Customers must provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 90 days before the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. Customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred in this instance.

Yellow Fever
A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate upon arrival. You must check with your doctor well before leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you'll be visiting.

Sightseeing
Please note: If entry to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary, where possible, may be adjusted, or a similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).

Shopping
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all your receipts. Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions regarding shopping for further information.

Visas

United Kingdom
The UK government announced the next phase of the rollout of electronic travel authorizations (ETAs). As of 8th January 2025, all Australia and New Zealand passport holders will require an ETA to enter the UK. An ETA gives visitors permission to travel to the UK. Visitors who do not currently need a visa may need to apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) to travel to the UK, please refer to the UK Government website for further information.

Ireland
For Australian passport holders, a tourist visa of up to 90 days will be issued on arrival, as determined by the immigration officer. At least one blank page in your passport is required for entry.

Important:
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.
• Visa rules are subject to change. Please check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination/s you are visiting once you receive your travel documentation to ensure you have the most up to date information.
• It is your responsibility to be travel-ready and ensure that you are aware and comply with any destination or travel requirements, including the validity of all required travel documents.
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.

Travel insurance

Embarking on your next trip is exciting, and while you hope the unexpected does not happen, it is best to be prepared. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance when making your booking. Whether it’s a potential medical emergency, a flight cancellation, a delayed suitcase, or an unforeseen event, it's important to ensure you're adequately protected.
