Day 5 Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Arrive: 10:00 - Depart: 19:00

Tucked between the Cordillera Mountains and the Atlantic coast, this charming Dominican port embodies geographical duality at its best. With its silver fog covering the mountain tops and shining coastline by the sea, Puerto Plata earned its name as the Port of Silver. Its lush mountains and rushing waterfalls dare adventurers to explore more, while its sandy beaches and colourful cityscape lure in sightseers to slow down.

In your time off the ship you could soar up to the top of the Pico Isabel de Torres to get a bird's eye view of Puerto Plata or stroll by the Malecón at sea level. The technicolor Victorian facades, colonial homes and the 16th-century Fortaleza de San Felipe will turn any regular Joe (or Joanna) into an architecture aficionado. On top of the sights, the Dominican Republic’s rum, cigars and cuisine keep you coming back for more (and a second serving). But, settling on a day lying on the beach is perfectly ok, too.

From the contemporary artists and musicians making a name for themselves worldwide, to up-and-coming chefs creating a buzz through new spins on local flavours, the island is infused with a vibrant energy that demands it be seen as far more than just a beachy stop.

Day 11 Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Arrive: 09:00 - Depart: 17:00

While the name Ocho Rios means eight rivers in Spanish, a truer reflection of its name (considering the city has four rivers) may stem from its earlier Spanish name of Las Chorreras, referring to its waterfalls. In either case, it’s precisely its existing rivers, beautiful waterfalls and crystalline sea that promise to awe visitors to Jamaica who have a passion for the lush outdoors.

James Bond fans can take heart in the fact that it was here in Jamaica in the 1950s and 1960s that author Ian Fleming created 007 and wrote every one of the 14 books featuring the stealth secret agent from his villa at nearby Oracabessa Bay. Scenes for the 1962 movie Dr. No and the 1973 film Live and Let Die were filmed in and around Ocho Rios.

George Town, its capital, located on Grand Cayman, the largest and most populous island. Shopping, beaches and wildlife are what you have to look forward to, alongside beautiful landscapes, bountiful wildlife and colourful streets of this British Overseas Territory.

Christopher Columbus called the Cayman Islands, with their tranquil blue waters, Las Tortugas for its abundance of turtles. Located between Cuba and Jamaica, the Cayman Islands are comprised of three Caribbean islands: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Learn about Cayman’s past and culture, explore Cayman Heritage House and visit the sumptuous Government House, the governor's residence built in 1964 located in front of Seven Mile Beach, one of the most prestigious beaches of Grand Cayman, in the heart of West Bay.

Cabins are designed with modern amenities, including mood lighting, smart controls, and signature red hammocks on sea terraces. Its emphasis on high-quality dining, innovative entertainment, and sophisticated design makes it a compelling choice for travellers seeking a departure from traditional cruising norms.

Adults-Only Atmosphere
As an 18+ cruise, Brilliant Lady provides a serene and sophisticated environment, free from the noise and activity often associated with family-oriented cruises. This child-free setting allows for a more refined and relaxed onboard experience, where the focus is on wellness, indulgence, and adult-centric fun. Whether you're lounging by the pool, enjoying a cocktail at one of the ship’s stylish bars, or unwinding in the spa, there’s a calm and comfortable ambiance throughout the vessel. This makes Brilliant Lady especially appealing to couples looking for a romantic escape, as well as solo travellers in search of a peaceful yet socially engaging atmosphere. With no kids onboard, all entertainment, dining, and recreational activities are thoughtfully curated for adults, encouraging deeper connections, late-night revelry, and moments of total relaxation without compromise.

Everything is made to order, emphasising quality and freshness over quantity. Late-night cravings are also covered, with venues like The Pizza Place, serving up hand-tossed pies in a beachfront-style setting, and Lick Me Till... Ice Cream, offering whimsical, gourmet scoops with flavours to suit every taste. With no main dining room and no set dining times, guests have the freedom to dine when and where they like, fostering a more spontaneous and relaxed onboard atmosphere. This commitment to culinary creativity and flexibility sets Brilliant Lady apart as a food-lover’s paradise at sea.

Entertainment and Nightlife
Entertainment on Brilliant Lady is immersive and unconventional. Other important information

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide:
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader:
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.
