Day 43 Disembark Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Dubai Walking City Tour

Arrive: 08:00

Dubai is a contradiction: sparkling skyscrapers, among the highest in the world, and immediately behind the endless and silent desert.

Enjoy your last breakfast onboard before disembarking and meet a representative to join a Dubai Heritage guided tour.

Start with a visit to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood.

Discover what life in Old Dubai was like during the mid-19th century at Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood. This district is located along Dubai Creek, and it is a key heritage site with much of the original infrastructure preserved and intact. The traditional wind towers – constructed from sandstone, teak, gypsum, palm wood, and sandalwood – represent only a small part of Al Fahidi’s history. Each alley, twisting pathway, and breezy tower tells a story of a life before the seven emirates.
Take a ride on Abra, the traditional water taxi and means of transport that people have been using for a long time to pass from one of the “Dubai Creek” banks to the other.

Explore the Spice Souk, a colourful, aromatic, and sensory experience to discover new flavours and recipes as you explore the traditional spice market in Dubai's heritage area.

Afterwards, continue to the Gold Souk. Dubai is the city of gold, and your trip to Dubai is not complete without a visit to the famous Gold Souk, one of the oldest and most fascinating traditional markets in the Emirates.
In the afternoon head to your hotel.

Overnight: City Season Hotel or similar, Dubai

Meals included: Breakfast

Day 44 Modern Dubai City Tour

Today after breakfast meet your Tour Leader to join a full-day Dubai city tour.

Start at the famous Palm Jumeirah – one of the world's largest man-made islands, a palm tree-shaped area known for its glitzy hotels, posh apartment towers and upmarket global restaurants and beach clubs. Afterwards, stop at a location that offers the perfect views of the fabulous Atlantis Palm Hotel.

Continue visiting the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, an authentic recreation of an ancient marketplace with traditional oriental style under a wooden covered arcade, looking out at a glistening water canal. The great position of the Souq, neighbouring the lofty Burj Al Arab, renowned for its Seven-Star status, offers stunning views.

Continue to the Museum Of The Future (entrance not included), considered one of the most beautiful buildings on the planet and an architectural and engineering marvel. It confidently straddles the past and the future, applying advanced technology to traditional art forms. The building ‘speaks Arabic’: its facade is a canvas for the poetry of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, rendered in the calligraphy of Mattar bin Lahej.

Stop for a photo at the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, situated right next to Dubai Mall. Visit one of the world’s largest shopping malls, featuring over 1,200 shops and outlets, where you also have the opportunity to view the 50-meter-long aquarium (charges apply) and the popular Dubai Fountain.

In the late afternoon, return to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Please Note: For customers interested in visiting The Museum of The Future, we suggest booking a ticket well in advance in order to secure a place. A visit will be possible today in the afternoon. Customers who book a ticket before 2:00 pm will miss the last part of the guided tour.

Overnight: City Season Hotel or similar, Dubai

Day 45 Desert Safari with Dinner

In the afternoon, join an amazing adventure to the Arab desert. Be met and driven to the desert, where you will join a 4x4 safari. Enjoy an unforgettable adventure in the Dubai Desert and experience the thrill of a lifetime with a rollercoaster-like drive on the dunes. While on the journey, you will stop on the highest dune to enjoy the beautiful sunset and refresh yourself with mineral water.

Continue the drive to an authentic Bedouin campsite right in the heart of the desert, where henna designs, local dresses, soft drinks, water, tea, or coffee are available.

Adding to the atmosphere of the night, an enchanting belly dancer will perform a dance to the rhythm of Arabic music, with a delicious barbecue buffet dinner served under the stars.

After breakfast, you will be transferred in an air-conditioned vehicle to Jaipur for approximately 250 kilometres or 5 hours of travel.

Jaipur, the picturesque capital of Rajasthan has long been known as ‘the pink city’. The colour was symbolic of hospitality in Rajput culture, Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the entire city pink. This beautiful city, along with Agra and Delhi, forms what is known as the Golden Triangle of the Indian tourist circuit.

Jaipur is a city where royalty still lives in the grandeur of its palaces, where fighting for the honour of the clan has never been a need but a way of life, and where treating guests as gods has been a tradition. There is a timeless appeal to Jaipur and its colourful bazaars where one can shop for Rajasthani handlooms and trinkets. Beautifully laid out gardens and parks, attractive monuments and marvellous heritage hotels, once the residence of Maharajas, are sights to behold.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, you will have the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight: Ramada by Wyndham or similar, Jaipur

The magnificent Amber Fort is an extensive palace complex that has been built with pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble. The fort in itself is a beautiful sight to behold but as one looks at the fort with its clear reflection on the lake in the front, one cannot help but wonder if it is a dream or a beautiful illusion.

The well was built over a thousand years ago and is one of the largest and most aesthetic step wells in the world. It is believed that the Chand Baori Step Well has a religious connection and that’s the reason it was built in front of the temple.

On arrival to Agra, check into the hotel. Agra is the quintessential Mughal City, where the world marvels at the epitome of love, beauty and sacrifice, the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world. The monument is so awe-inspiring that Agra has been immortalised as the City of the Taj.

Day 52 Agra - Taj Mahal

Today you will have an early morning visit to the Taj Mahal just after sunrise (at approximately 06:00) and return to the hotel for breakfast. Alternatively, you can visit just after breakfast at 09:00 (included).

The world-famous Taj Mahal is where you will see the undeniable beauty that incorporates and expands on design traditions of Persian and earlier Mughal architecture. While earlier Mughal buildings were primarily constructed of red sandstone, Shah Jahan promoted the use of white marble inlaid with semi-precious stones.

The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, to be built in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632, the principal mausoleum was completed in 1643 and the surrounding buildings and garden were finished about five years later.

Later, enjoy a visit to Agra Fort (Red Fort). A fascinating sight, it showcases a high level of ornamentation and the Kohinoor diamond was reportedly once part of the furnishings. The fort’s artwork mixes Persian, European and Indian art, resulting in a unique Shahjahani style rich in form, expression and colour. Red Fort is one of the building complexes of India encapsulating a long period of history, arts and innovative architectural style, including its garden design which influenced later buildings and gardens in Delhi. In 2007, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Red Fort Complex.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide:
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader:

Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.
