Today you will make your own way to Airlie Beach, Queensland. Upon arrival, head to Toscana Village Resort (10 Golden Orchid Drive, Airlie Beach) where you will spend the next two nights. Check-in is available from 14:00 but if you're arriving earlier in Airlie, complimentary luggage storage is available at the property.

Today, you’ll have the day at leisure to explore this tropical paradise.

This morning, you will need to check out of your accommodation at Toscana with a small overnight bag packed for your time on Reefsleep, if you have any larger luggage items, you can request to store them at the hotel. You'll then be picked up from your accommodation and transferred to the marina where you will embark on this unique adventure, ensure you are 10 minutes early for your pick-up time which will be confirmed in your final documentation sent 4-6 weeks before your departure date. 

The Reefsleep is an intimate, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sleep under the stars on the Great Barrier Reef. The exclusive Reefworld at Hardy Reef is your destination, a permanently moored pontoon that's located 39 nautical miles from shore on the outer Great Barrier Reef. Your journey begins with a cruise to the outer reef through the gorgeous Whitsunday Islands, make sure to keep an eye out for migrating Humpback Whales between July and September. Out on the reef you can go swimming and snorkelling, ride in a semi-submarine and visit the underwater observatory before enjoying a generous buffet lunch.

After the day-trippers return to shore, the pontoon and the reef are exclusively yours so you'll enjoy a sunset drink before your evening meal, featuring fresh and delicious local produce, is served on deck. Afterwards, you'll head for the pontoon’s top level and slip into your cosy double reef bed where it's just you, the ocean and a galaxy of stars.

Enjoy dawn on the reef which is peaceful and unhurried before taking time to snorkel after breakfast or return to the underwater observatory and watch the reef come to life.

After lunch, your vessel returns you to the mainland where you will then be transferred back to your hotel at approximately 18:00.

Harness the wind and sail the azure waters of the Whitsundays onboard the impressive Camira, a speedy 85-foot ocean-going catamaran. Departing from Airlie Beach, Camira cruises past Whitsunday Island, passing Daydream, Hamilton and Hook Islands en route. On Whitsunday Island’s east coast, Camira moors at the northern end of Whitehaven Beach, a 7-kilometre arc of dazzling white sand that's regularly voted Australia’s best beach.

On a guided hike to Hill Inlet lookout, you'll follow a path walked by the Whitsundays’ traditional owners, the Ngaro people. Back on the beach, you can swim and stroll along the shore before indulging in an all-inclusive BBQ lunch cooked and served onboard. After lunch, you will head to one of the Whitsundays fringing reefs for some snorkelling before sailing back to shore, upon arrival you will be transferred back to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Toscana Village Resort is a family-oriented resort, featuring spacious, well-equipped, self-catering apartments in a tranquil garden setting inspired by the villages of Tuscany. With four pools, a barbeque area and lovely gardens, you will find plenty of places to relax and soak up the Whitsunday sunshine. Airlie Beach is a picturesque seaside village, with the main street running parallel to the beach. Toscana Village Resort is perched on a (steep) hill with panoramic views across the village to the sparkling waters of the Coral Sea and the Whitsunday islands. Please note this property does not have a lift and guests will be responsible for transferring their own luggage to the room. • Certified Dive: $129 per person and $79 per person for any additional dives. 
As a certified diver, we don’t need to convince you that diving at the Great Barrier Reef is going to be pretty special. Experienced divers can enjoy spectacular dives at specially selected sites with a variety of coral formations that are teeming with marine life. All dives are escorted by the experienced crew, ensuring an unforgettable experience.

A GUIDED SNORKELLING TOUR

Snorkelling is the easiest way to view coral reefs. Snorkelling and scuba diving are completely different activities though and one of the great things about snorkelling is that we can talk to you while we snorkel. The snorkel tours are ideal for both first-time snorkellers, and experienced snorkellers who want to learn more about what they’re looking at out on the reef. We passionately want more people to experience and understand the complex, beautiful and diverse world that is a coral reef environment.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
The Whitsunday Seasons are defined as wet, windy and dry. The 'wet' season is from January to March, the most blustery months are March to May, and the driest months are August to October. The average daytime temperature dips to 23 degrees in July and 24 in June however, other months exceed 25 degrees. The average low in June and July overnight is 12 degrees and it is advised to bring warmer clothes for the evening.
 
Luggage
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on tour. You must carry your own luggage from the vehicle to the hotel room and back to the vehicle. The driver will assist with the uploading and unloading of bags from the vehicle.

If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you.
