River cruising Europe with AmaWaterways is an excellent way to explore a destination. Discover local culture and sights on included tours, and then hop back on your luxurious river cruise ship and sail to the next stunning city or charming town. In Europe, you can take one of the Danube river cruises, or one of the Rhine river cruises. AmaWaterways also offers river cruises in France and Portugal. Enjoy exploring their many itineraries in Europe, Asia and Africa.

AmaMagna

As imagined by AmaWaterways’ Co-Founder, Co-Owner and President Rudi Schreiner, the Godfather of River Cruising, the AmaMagna is twice the width of traditional European river ships and offers more personal space, more unique dining venues and more leisure opportunities, redefining the river cruise experience. Most accommodations are spacious suites measuring 355 to 710 sq. ft. with full balconies. In addition to the Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, AmaMagna introduces two enticing new dining venues: Jimmy’s, a family-style restaurant named for AmaWaterways’ late Co-Owner Jimmy Murphy, and the Al Fresco Restaurant, with retractable windows and outdoor seating. Both a sundeck pool and whirlpool invite guests to refresh and enjoy the views. AmaMagna’s Zen Wellness Studio is an expansive space with a fitness center, two massage rooms and a refreshing juice bar.

Visa Information

It is your responsibility to be travel-ready and ensure you comply with any destination or travel requirements, including obtaining all of the required travel documents.

For Australian citizens, check your visa requirements online at Smartraveller or the respective embassy or consulate. As visa rules are subject to change, please check with the relevant embassy or consulate once you receive your documentation to ensure you have the latest information.

Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.

We suggest you start arranging your visa well in advance of departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating timeframes. TripADeal is not responsible for any passenger’s failure to obtain a visa or if you obtain an incorrect visa.

Travel Insurance
Embarking on your next trip is exciting, and while you hope the unexpected does not happen, it is best to be prepared. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance when making your booking. Whether it’s a potential medical emergency, a flight cancellation, a delayed suitcase, or an unforeseen event, it's important to ensure you're adequately protected. Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in your cruise fare. For good service, 3 Euros per guest/per day for the Cruise Manager and 12 Euros per guest/per day for the crew (to be divided among ship personnel) is recommended. It is also customary to tip your guide 2 Euros per guest/per day.
Pregnancy
Due to medical safety guidelines, we are unable to accommodate passengers who will enter their 24th week of pregnancy by the time of the cruise.
Minor Accompany
All guests under the age of 18 are to be in a stateroom with an adult and must remain supervised at all times; their safety is the responsibility of the accompanying adult(s). Children between the ages of 4-10 at the time of embarkation may share a stateroom with two adults only in circumstances where the child is able to share the bed with the adults – no additional bed will be provided. Please be aware that balcony staterooms of any kind may be unsafe for small children if left unsupervised. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on board; children 4-5 years old are not recommended on any program. On the Africa Safaris & Wildlife Cruise program, due to safety precautions, there is a minimum age limit of 12 years old, unless otherwise agreed upon by AmaWaterways. AmaWaterways does not provide child-specific programs or child-minding facilities.
Smoking
 Smoking is only permitted on the ship’s Sun Deck in the designated smoking area.
