Today, at the appropriate time, make your own way to Brisbane International Airport for your flight to Cebu, Philippines.

Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a tour representative and transferred to the hotel. You'll be spending an evening on Mactan Island where you can unwind and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Embrace the balmy Philippine evening at your accommodation which boasts a private white-sand beach, inviting outdoor pools, beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and excellent dining options at its onsite restaurant (additional charges may apply).

Today, at the appropriate time, you’ll be met at the hotel and transferred to the ferry terminal. Here, you’ll board the approximately 2-hour ferry bound for Bohol.

In Bohol you’ll be transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Your beachfront accommodation for the next 2 evenings features a private beach with pristine waters and white powdery sand. You'll also find an onsite restaurant and bar as well as many other amenities to make your stay memorable.

The island province of Bohol is a natural and cultural gem that's known for its stunning beaches, historic towns and unique wildlife. Enjoy a day tour to explore some of the island’s most iconic sights.

Depart early from your resort and head to Corella, home of the Philippine Tarsier Foundation. Here, you’ll have the rare opportunity to observe the Philippine tarsier, one of the world’s smallest primates. Watch as these nocturnal creatures leap between branches and swivel their heads nearly 360 degrees with ease.

Travel to Baclayon, stopping en route at the Blood Compact Shrine, commemorating the first treaty of friendship between Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and native chieftain Datu Sikatuna. In Baclayon, visit a centuries-old stone church built by the Jesuits in the 18th century. The church also houses a small museum with a fascinating collection of religious artefacts, vestments and historic manuscripts. TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
The period between January and May is generally considered the dry season across Cebu, Siquijor, and Bohol, making it an excellent time to visit.

You can expect warm to hot temperatures, typically ranging from 27ºC to 32ºC , often feeling balmy. While it's the drier period, short, refreshing tropical showers can still occur, particularly as you move towards May, which is often the hottest month and sees an increase in humidity and occasional rainfall before the official wet season begins in June.

Overall, this window offers plenty of sunshine, calmer seas ideal for island hopping and water activities like snorkeling and diving, and generally comfortable conditions for exploring the natural beauty and cultural highlights of these islands.

Fitness Level Required
Adventure (and spontaneity) create some of the best travel memories. Bear in mind, your home schedules and timings might not be adhered to on tour - it's all part of the fun!

Expect a moderate pace of touring with a focus on guided tours that may include full days with extended activity, guided city tours or nature walks. You will require a general level of fitness for unassisted navigation of stairs and inclines, longer distances with possible periods of standing when visiting sites, walking on sloping, uneven ground or elevations.
