Palma’s winding streets lead you to Gothic churches and scenic squares. Its central cathedral, the Catedral of Santa Maria de Palma, is a must-see landmark. The main drag, Passeig del Born, gives way to side streets with shops and art galleries, while the nearby ex-fisherman village of Santa Catalina is the city’s foodie quarter with up-and-coming bars and cafes. To get a full 360-degree view of Palma, don't miss Bellver Castle, one of the few circular castles in Europe (charges may apply).

Day 5 Toulon (Provence), France

Arrive: 09:00 - Depart: 18:00

Originally a fishermen’s village, Toulon is France’s second-largest naval port and a gateway to charming towns in Provence.

Toulon’s deep naval history puts it on the map, but its Provençal market, new art scene, and sandy beaches make it a true hidden gem of the region. Sitting between Marseille and St. Tropez, Toulon is the ideal port to fulfil all of your French Riviera fantasies. Toulon’s claim to fame may be its proximity to Riviera towns like Sanary-sur-Mer and Bandol, but its own shining attraction is the Rue Des Arts district — a network of streets and alleyways lined with murals, galleries and bars. If you’d prefer to admire the natural beauty, you can ride the bright red cable car to Mont Faron for access to winding hiking trails and sweeping views of the bay.

Overnight: Virgin Voyages - Valiant Lady

Meals included: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 6 Marina di Carrara (Tuscany/Cinque Terre), Italy

Arrive: 08:00 - Depart: 20:00

With mountains of the purest marble towering over the city, any pic taken in Marina di Carrara comes with a marvellous backdrop. At first glance, you might think the snow-capped-looking marble mountains of Marina di Carrara are the actual snow-capped Alps. And frankly, no one could blame you. The bright white marble mountain tops contrasted against Marina di Carrara’s sandy beaches are almost like something out of a Renaissance painting — it’s that surreal. The marble, which has been mined in nearby Carrara for centuries, has been used to create some of the most important architectural wonders, like the Pantheon and Michelangelo’s David. Nestled between the rolling hills of Tuscany and the crescent-like coastline of Liguria, Marina di Carrara acts as a scenic springboard to Italy’s culturally rich regions. Tuscany and Liguria capture Italian culture like no other region. To get a taste of Tuscany, sip your way through the Chianti region and visit vineyard after vineyard or get to know the culture in Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Medieval towns like Lucca dot the Tuscan countryside, and Pisa lies a stone’s throw away. On the northern coast of Liguria, encounter the Italian Riviera in luxurious cities like Portofino and picturesque villages like Cinque Terre.

Day 8 Ajaccio, Corsica, France

Arrive: 08:00 - Depart: 17:00

As a French commune, only seven miles from the Italian island of Sardinia, Corsica is a blend of French and Italian culture. The locals feel more Italian than French, but enjoy francophile staples like boulangeries and charcuterie.

The capital port city, Ajaccio, sits on the western side of a natural paradise, with astonishing peaks and sprawling beaches. Ajaccio’s small streets are steeped in Napoleonic history, including Maison Bonaparte, the infamous commander’s ancestral home.

Tucked away in the mountainous countryside, you’ll find vineyards, endless hiking trails and wild boar. The Ajaccio Market displays fresh honey, organic wine and aromatherapy oils harvested from the hills. Ajaccio is a gateway to the beaches along Corsica’s shores and the forests, canyons and coves hidden in the Mediterranean mountains.

Cruise

Virgin Voyages' Valiant Lady
Step aboard Valiant Lady by Virgin Voyages and get ready to cruise like never before. These adults-only sailings are made for grown-ups who know how to treat themselves—think luxurious vibes, no kids, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with your favorite people (or just yourself). With a maximum of 2,770 passengers, it's intimate without feeling quiet—just the right mix of energy and exclusivity.

But Virgin isn’t just about having fun (though there’s plenty of that)—they’re all about doing it responsibly. From ditching single-use plastics to sourcing food thoughtfully and using smart tech to protect the ocean, this is a cruise line with a conscience.

Onboard? Oh, it’s a playground for adults. Lounge in style at The Perch, sip craft beers at Draught Haus, chill at the Dock Bar, or dive into the glam poolside scene at the Aquatic Club. Want more? The Red Room brings live shows with a twist—modern, immersive, and anything but traditional.

And the food? Over 20 eateries (yes, all included!) serve everything from experimental eats at the Test Kitchen to spicy Korean BBQ, sizzling Mexican, and an international food market that hits all the right notes.

Visas

Europe (Schengen Visa Countries)
A tourist visa is not required for Europe for stays up to 90 days if travelling on an Australian passport.

Important:
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.
• Visa rules are subject to change. Please check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination/s you are visiting once you receive your travel documentation to ensure you have the most up to date information.
• It is your responsibility to be travel-ready and ensure that you are aware and comply with any destination or travel requirements, including the validity of all required travel documents.
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.
