You can pre-book dining and entertainment online at Holland America’s website, or through the "Navigator" app up to three days prior to boarding. Once onboard, reservations can be made via the app or by visiting the Shore Excursions desk or dining venue directly. Otherwise, visit Guest Services, located in the Atrium, on Deck 1.
For voyages under 24 days, Holland America Line's Kids Club and youth activities program is designed for kids and teens ages 3-17 years. Supervised by full-time, professionally trained staff, kids will have the opportunity to meet new friends and join in with arts and crafts, sports, video game competitions, scavenger hunts, challenging team games and themed parties. For voyages of 25-days or longer, including all Legendary and Grand Voyages, Kids Club is not available, however a selection of children’s activities will be offered for any children who may be onboard.
Guests are expected to follow the direction of the ship’s crew, especially during embarkation and disembarkation, and are requested to watch the safety video on embarkation, make themselves familiar with life jackets and muster stations. It is prohibited to bring illegal drugs or substances, weapons, flammables, explosives, etc, and items that may cause a hazard onboard (eg: surfboards, bicycles). Guests are expected to adhere to designated smoking areas and policies. While daytime dress is casual, an onboard dress code requires shirts/cover-ups and footwear indoors. Shorts, pool/beachwear and distressed jeans are not permitted in fine dining restaurants, with smart-casual dress code expected as a minimum during the evening. Guests may bring a 750ml bottle of wine or champagne aboard, however additional bottles will incur a corkage fee. The consumption of alcohol on board is limited to guests over 21, changing to over 20s in Japan and over 18s on sailings from/to China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone who is at least 21 years old. Compliance with applicable laws of visited ports and countries is expected, and general safety concerns should be considered.
