Norwegian Cruise Line 'Norwegian Spirit' Ship
The 2,032-passenger Norwegian Spirit debuted in 1998 so you won't find a rock climbing wall, bowling alley or some of the other whizbang features offered by the line's bigger, newer ships, but enjoyment doesn't always have to come in a giant package. Norwegian Spirit may be the line's oldest and smallest ship, but it's also one NCL, and passengers, clearly love: it enjoyed a massive $100m bow-to-stern refurbishment in 2020 that has it looking and feeling brand new. The refit has given the ship an adult vibe with brand-new features such as the Thermal Suite; the Spice H2O area, which replaces the kids' area Splash Academy; new cabins and a new upscale Italian restaurant: Onda by Scarpetta. Norwegian Spirit is no longer geared towards families and would suit couples looking for longer and more eclectic itineraries. It's smaller size and traditional features make it a good choice for cruise travellers who want to feel like they're on board an oceangoing vessel rather than a huge theme park at sea.

Free At Sea Inclusions
As part of this package, you will receive the below NCL ‘Free At Sea Inclusions’:
• A complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage package for all passengers for the duration of your cruise.
• At least one complimentary Speciality Dining package to use at any specialty restaurant onboard your cruise.
• 150 minutes internet package per person onboard the cruise.

The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.
Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
Japan
Spring in Japan is magical! Cherry blossoms, welcoming weather, festivals and seasonal food make it a great time to visit. The average temperature in March is around 10°C, but can vary greatly depending on where you are visiting. The weather and temperatures in Tokyo in March reflect the seasonal changes between winter and spring. It’s not too humid, doesn't rain often, and on sunny days it gets pretty warm. In the evening, you may need to wear a jacket or sweater.

South Korea
Whilst winter is coming to an end by March, it is still going to be cold throughout much of the country and those crisp, white snow-covered landscapes are still there for the taking, especially in the northern ski resorts of Pyeongchang. Hills and mountains, such as those found at Songnisan National Park, continue to record temperatures that plummet below freezing, and the mercury in Seoul is unlikely to rise much above 3°C at best. However, further south it is beginning to feel a little milder, with the seaside city of Busan and Jeju Island typically experiencing minimum daily temperatures of 4°C and a maximum of 9°C.

Visas

Japan & South Korea
A tourist visa is not required for Australian or New Zealand citizens visiting Japan or Korea for stays of up to 90 days for tourism, business, visiting friends or relatives, etc. (that does not include remunerative activities).
Important:
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.
• Visa rules may have changed since Covid-19. Some countries and airlines may require you to obtain an additional visa before arrival. Please check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination you're entering.
Please note:
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.

Travel insurance

Embarking on your next trip is exciting, and while you hope the unexpected does not happen, it is best to be prepared. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance when making your booking. Whether it’s a potential medical emergency, a flight cancellation, a delayed suitcase, or an unforeseen event, it's important to ensure you're adequately protected.
