In May 2012, Jeonju was chosen as a Creative City for Gastronomy as part of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network. This honour recognizes the city's traditional home cooking handed down through generations over thousands of years, its active public and private food research, its system for nurturing talented chefs, and its hosting of distinctive local food festivals.

Jeonju is the birthplace of Bibimbap (rice with vegetables & meat). In 2011, it was ranked 40th on the World's 50 most delicious foods readers' poll compiled by CNN Travel. We highly recommend you enjoy excellent Bibimbap food during your stay (not included).

Cruise

'Norwegian Spirit' Ship
The 2,032-passenger Norwegian Spirit debuted in 1998 so you won't find a rock climbing wall, bowling alley or some of the other whizbang features offered by the line's bigger, newer ships, but enjoyment doesn't always have to come in a giant package. Norwegian Spirit may be the line's oldest and smallest ship, but it's also one NCL - and passengers - clearly love: it enjoyed a massive $100m bow-to-stern refurbishment in 2020 that has it looking and feeling brand new. The refit has given the ship an adult vibe with brand-new features such as the Thermal Suite; the Spice H2O area, which replaces the kids' area Splash Academy; new cabins and a new upscale Italian restaurant: Onda by Scarpetta. Norwegian Spirit is no longer geared towards families and would suit couples looking for longer and eclectic itineraries. Its smaller size and traditional features make it a good choice for cruise travellers who want to feel like they're onboard an oceangoing vessel rather than a huge theme park at sea.

Free At Sea Inclusions
As part of this package, you will receive the below NCL ‘Free At Sea Inclusions’:
• A complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage package for all passengers for the duration of your cruise.
• At least one complimentary Special Dining package to use at any specialty restaurant onboard your cruise.
• A 150-minute internet package per person onboard the cruise.
• Receive a $50 USD shore excursion credit per cabin for every port visited during your cruise.
Please note: For a full summary of all inclusions along with all terms and conditions, please visit the NCL site here https://www.ncl.com/au/en/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions-aunz

Other important information

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER

Tour Guide:
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader:
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.
