Optional Tour: My Son Holy Land Half Day Tour - $90 per person
In the morning, at 8.30am, your tour guide and driver will come and pick you up for the visit to My Son Holy Land. Honourably recognized as a World Heritage in 1999, My Son Holy Land is captivating in various cultural values. Therefore, it is extremely useful and meaningful for those interested in Southeast Asian culture, which owes its core to ancient Cham culture, to drop off the land. Although time and the wars have destroyed some towers, the remaining sculptural and architectural remnants still reflect the style and history of the art of the Chăm people. Their masterpieces mark a glorious time for the architecture and culture of the Chăm, as well as of Southeast Asia. Afterwards, return to Hoi An.
Optional Activity: Cooking class at Tra Que Village - $90 per person
After breakfast, ride a bicycle to Hoi An’s colorful central market. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about the ingredients that will be used in the cooking lesson later, so make sure your camera is handy. Bike onwards to Tra Que vegetable village where you can enjoy a nice refreshing welcome drink then walk through the vegetable gardens where local farmers work on their fields, using the traditional methods they have been using for hundreds of years, no electrical machinery here. Continue onwards to a nearby restaurant. Here a local chef will help you learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food like Tra Que Vegetable Salad, Tam Huu (spring onion rolls), Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancake) & Hoi An fresh spring rolls. Finish off with a delicious lunch of traditional dishes you have prepared yourself!
Please note: For passengers who are not comfortable on a bicycle, a complimentary vehicle transfer can be arranged for this day so you may still take part in included market visit and cooking class.
Inclusions: Bicycle to and from your hotel to Tra Que village, English-speaking tour guide, cooking class at Tra Que village.

En route visit Linh Ung Pagoda and a colossal 24m-high white seated Buddha that’s visible for miles around, Loc Uyen Garden and Quan Am Pavilion. Follow your guide to the natural Monkey garden and take the opportunity to conquer The God Mountain at 1487 metres of altitude over sea level, which is the highest peak in central Vietnam. This morning you will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast for a half-day tour of the famous Cu Chi Tunnels (approx. 1 hour distance each way). The Cu Chi Tunnels were constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the country’s long fight for independence. The network of tunnels which make up this underground city includes living rooms, kitchens, hospitals, weapons factories, storage facilities and a command centre.
The tunnel system was an excellent way for the Vietcong to move around the countryside undetected by foreign troops and was at one stage home to around 10,000 people. After exploring these tunnels along with nearby remains of American tanks and numerous bomb craters, from here you will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City arriving in the mid-afternoon. TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide:
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction where they are guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves it at the end of the tour; they do not travel with the group.
Tour Leader:
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village and offer information on the place visited on the bus. However, they are not required to have specific art, architecture, or historical knowledge. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and, if caught doing so, can be fined.
Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

Visa and other entry and exit conditions (such as currency, customs and quarantine regulations) change regularly. Contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Vietnam for up-to-date information.
Important:
• Please start arranging your visa three weeks before departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours.

Please note:
• Passengers who are not Australian citizens must also check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
• It is also important to note that some areas of employment, such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations, may have additional restrictions in applying for visas. This may, in turn, affect the type of application required.
Embarking on your next trip is exciting, and while you hope the unexpected does not happen, it is best to be prepared. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance when making your booking.
