Upon landing, please make your own way to your accommodation and get settled in for two nights in Venice!

Enjoy the day at leisure by strolling along the canals and alleyways of this majestic city. Venice has been immortalised in art, literature, and film over the centuries and one of its most iconic buildings is the Palazzo Ducale. This beautiful, ornate building on the waterfront represents the city's seat of power.

Explore the countless galleries on offer or take some time to indulge in Venetian cuisine in one of the many traditional restaurants.

Today you’ll have the day at leisure to continue exploring this eclectic city. Built on more than 100 small islands, Venice is one of the most unique and picturesque cities in the world.

Explore the ‘City of Canals’ and wander down the Grand Canal thoroughfare which is lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces, some dating from as early as the 13th century.

Perhaps take a trip on a gondola or marvel at the grandeur of the San Marco Campanile. Standing a colossal 98.6m high, you can take an elevator to the top and enjoy the best panoramic views of Venice.

Enjoy the morning at leisure before making your own way to the cruise terminal in Ravenna (approx 1.5 hours from Venice) to embark on your 10 night cruise onboard Celebrity Cruises ‘Celebrity Constellation’ ship.

While at sea, take the time to recharge before the next adventure.

Lounge by the pool, be spoiled at the spa, taste the delicacies or explore the venues on-board until you arrive at the next amazing destination.

This small port on the Ionian coast is your gateway to ancient Olympia, the home of the original Olympic Games.

Olympia has preserved both athletic and mythological monuments, many dating back to 776 BC. Most intriguing is the stadium, which is still standing, and the gymnasium. The museum also offers a peek at fabulous Greek sculptures (museum entry additional).

This Grecian port city is also the gateway to one of the most important archeological sites in the world, the ruins of ancient Olympia (shore excursions are not included in tour cost and can be booked directly with the cruise line).

Santorini is one of the world’s most popular islands, known best for its dramatic scenery, whitewashed villages and fiery volcanic activity. Here adventure bubbles above the Aegean Sea in the boldest and breathtaking ways.

As an optional tour (bookable directly with the cruise line), take a short trip to the island of Nea Kameni for a dip in its famous hot springs. The warm dark waters are enriched with iron and manganese and considered therapeutic.

A trip to Santorini is not complete without visiting Oia - famous not only for the ancient, Minoan site of Akrotiri, but also quite possibly the best vantage point from which to witness the spectacular sunsets.

Once the capital of the Roman province of Asia Minor, this coastal town is now an archeologist’s dream. The UNESCO World Heritage ruins of Ephesus impress even those familiar with the world's other ancient cities. Though excavations have been underway for 150 years, only 20 percent of the city has been uncovered.

This former Greek banking and trading centre is rich with historic sites, including the Great Theatre, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

You will experience a taste of Turkish life by strolling the seafront promenade and the bustling city centre. Walk Marble Street, paved with actual marble slabs, which takes you from downtown to the Temple of Artemis, where you can still see one lone remaining column from this wonder of the ancient world.

Mykonos is known for its whitewashed villages sprinkled with blue and jade green. It's also famous for its sophisticated nightlife.

The most popular island in the Cyclades is bustling with activity, awash in beautiful alleyways, and home to alluring sandy beaches.

Athens brought the world drama, history, poetry, and philosophy. Once home to the world's most powerful and civilised empires, Athens is now the world's foremost archaeological playground.

The towering columns of the Parthenon still stand in homage to the virgin goddess Athena. The Parthenon sits atop the Athenian Acropolis and watches over the city where it can be seen from just about anywhere in Athens.

Make it a point to visit the incredible Acropolis Museum on your cruise to Athens (optional shore excursion, bookable directly with the cruise line). The joint effort between two architects, one American and the other Greek, this outstanding building was completed and opened to the public in 2009. It focuses primarily on the Greek period dating to 5 B.C., considered to be the apex of art, culture, and philosophy in ancient Greece, but it also has artefacts from the Bronze, Roman, and Byzantine Ages. There’s even a Plexiglas walkway from which an excavated section of an old Athenian neighbourhood can be viewed.

In addition to an abundance of historical riches, modern Athens has plenty on offer—from scenic beaches to restaurants with superb Mediterranean cuisine and bustling central markets.

Like many ports in this part of the world, archeological ruins dating back to antiquity are found everywhere. There are also hundreds of gorges around the island and over 1,500 land and sea caves, including Elefantos, noted for its remarkable white and red stalactites.

Throughout the millennia, this harbour city was conquered many times over by Romans, Byzantines, Venetians, and Turks. Chania remains crisscrossed with Ottoman architecture and historic Venetian mansions, many of which have been transformed into quaint shops, inviting cafes, and boutique hotels.

Experience Cretan hospitality and history on your cruise to Chania with a tour to the traditional Village of Vamos, the Karidi Monastery, the Braoudakis winery, and the Folklore Museum (optional shore excursion, bookable directly with cruise line).

Admire the local flora, the ancient homes, and the time-worn old mill, with its 12 arches built in 1862. A Greek island in the Ionian Sea, the popular summer resort Zakynthos is also known by its Italian name, Zante.

Surrounded by bright turquoise waters, the island boasts wonderful sandy beaches as well as dramatic cliffs and woods so captivating they were a favourite spot for godly twins Artemis and Apollo, according to ancient myths.

Popular beaches like Agios Nikolaos, Alykanas and Tsilivi offer swimming and water sports. Accessed only by boat, Instagram-worthy Navagio beach is the site of a famed 1980 smugglers’ shipwreck resting in a sandy cove dramatically framed by towering limestone cliffs (optional shore excursion, bookable directly with cruise line).

Enjoy your last full day at sea, reminiscing on the memories, monuments, history and architecture of your European adventure.

Take the time to enjoy the sunset on the top deck and sample the fare of the many onboard restaurants.

Enjoy your last breakfast onboard before disembarking. Once disembarked, make your own way to the airport in time for your return flight to Australia.

If your Tour package is affected by Covid-19 related travel restrictions and you are unable to travel, you will receive either a free date change (credit that is specific to your original package and purchase value) or an open credit less any non-recoverable supplier fees to the value of your original purchase for use on any other package available via the TripADeal website.

CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES

Summers on the Adriatic, Ionian Aegean Seas are sometimes very hot, and the coastal towns on the mainland and the Adriatic also have wonderfully sunny and warm summer months. July is typically the driest month and considered the peak of Summer, yet there is little change between June -September. Average temperatures range from 17-23°C.

At TripADeal we do not arrange seat selection. It is important to highlight that some Airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the Airline directly with seating allocation requirements and or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the Airline once you have your flight information.

Passport Validity:

Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 45 days prior to the departure date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred. Ensure your passport is up to date and will remain valid for at least 6 months from the date of the termination of your cruise.

Please note: Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. It is also important to note, some areas of employment such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations may have additional restrictions in applying for Visas. This may in turn affect the type of application required.

Supplier Fees

In the event the Travel Offer you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the Travel Offer due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. TripADeal has committed to these costs as your Agent and will endeavour to recover all funds committed and/or paid for your Travel Offer, but this may not be possible in all circumstances. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event, TripADeal is unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee. This fee is not revenue-raising and is paid to or withheld by our suppliers when recovering payments.
