Day 2 Welcome to Hawaii

The Island of Oahu is an adventurers paradise. Home to world-class surf breaks on the infamous North Shore, hair raising hikes along its volcanic ridgelines and of course the iconic skyline and turquoise waters of Waikiki Beach. Take today at your leisure to explore the many shops, restaurants and bars that line the Waikiki beachfront. Day trips from Honolulu are plentiful with something for everyone. Popular options include whale watching boat tours, trips to marvel at the infamous big wave at Pipeline and history buffs will revel in a memorable visit to the famous war memorial and sunken USS Arizona at Pearl Harbour. Day 3 Free Day Honolulu

Perhaps take time today to grab a beach towel or surfboard and make your way to one of the 125 beaches that skirt the island of Oahu. Settle into island time and experience the famous Hawaiian hospitality at its best at one of the many restaurants serving freshly caught local seafood. Or just take in the magnificent views of Diamond Head, the 350 acre volcano which serves as Honolulu’s dramatic backdrop There’s certainly no shortage of things to do on a visit to this vibrant tropical city.

Day 4 Embark Ovation of the Seas Ship - Departs 6pm

Enjoy another day in Honolulu at your leisure. After checkout, leave your bags in baggage storage with the hotel to continue exploring the city. Discover the up and coming hip restaurants, bars, boutiques and galleries that are making an emergence in the Chinatown district. When the afternoon rolls around, it’s time to say a big Mahalo to Hawaii and begin boarding the Royal Caribbean transatlantic cruise to the Polynesian Islands and New Zealand on board the amazing Quantum Class ship ‘Ovation of the Seas’. Ensure you are on-board at least 2 hours prior to departure this evening. Once you finish on-boarding, make your way up on deck, grab a drink and join the sail away party to celebrate the start of the 18-night journey as you sail away into the magnificent Hawiian sunset.

Take your time today to orientate yourself with the multitude of entertainment options available on the incredible ‘Ovation of the Seas’. Check out the Royal Esplanade with a wonderful selection of restaurants, cafés and bars complete with the leather clad English style pub ‘Amber & Oak’ and a pizza bar for late night snacks. Take a dip in the various pools, spas and whirlpools. Kids can enjoy the fantastic H2O water park and Splashaway Bay.

Whilst the ship is at sea, why not try your hand with lady luck at the James Bond inspired Casino Royale or use this chance to pick up some duty free bargains in the on board stores. Book a table with world-class cuisine, and extraordinary personal service in the four complimentary main dining rooms or (for an additional cost) choose from one of the amazing specialty restaurants and then head off to a Broadway show in the main theatre. Feeling something a little more casual? Why not grab a table at the Solarium Bistro or get a custom made pizza at Sorrento’s? And there is always the option to enjoy the all you can eat buffet at the Windjammer Marketplace with great options for all taste buds. Day 8 Cruising

The most talked-about bar on the ship and unofficially dubbed the "robot bar", this is where drinks are shaken and served by the pair of Makr Shakr robotic bartenders. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails are ordered via a tablet, and two screens on each side of the bar show who has ordered the drink, the ingredients going into it and the stage of its preparation.

The second largest of the Society Islands, Raiatea is revered by local Polynesians and the Maori peoples of New Zealand alike as the place from which all of eastern Polynesia was colonised. A close neighbour to Bora Bora, this island shares the same classic postcard images of crystal clear waters fringed by palm trees swaying in the breeze and the same relaxed island attitude which offers a much welcome break from the pressures of modern life. Day 14 Cruising

Feeling playful? Try out the variety of activities on offer at the Seaplex. The largest sports complex at sea is a huge, versatile area that offers a non-stop program of fun and games for all ages. The heart of SeaPlex is the arena; depending on the time of day, it undergoes a metamorphosis from a basketball court into a roller-skating rink and most novel of all, a dodgem-car circuit. For passengers who want to fly through the air with the greatest of ease, there is also a circus school with trapeze classes held over an air-filled mat (children need to be six years or older to take part in this activity).

Day 15 Cruising

Take today to participate in one of the many onboard activities that happen everyday while the ship is at sea. Join the fun trivia or bingo sessions happening in the main theatre, partake in an exciting scavenger hunt, take a class or take a dance class. Ever wanted to skydive but not keen to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane? The ship is fitted with a state of the art skydive simulator. The Ripcord by Ifly is an exhilarating must-do experience and only on Royal Caribbean Quantum class ships!

Day 16 Crossing the International Dateline

Celebrate this milestone with a relaxing drink in one of the 15 bars and lounges on board. When the sun goes down, there's as much to do as there is during daylight hours. The biggest problem is deciding what to do, where to go and how to fit everything in during the cruise. From smooth Latin sounds to classic rock, passengers can dance and tap their feet to tunes from around the world, or grab their own share of the limelight in a karaoke session.

Day 17 Cruising

Make sure you don’t miss out on the exciting North Star Observation Pod which gives you a complete 360º birdseye view from 91m above the ship. After you’ve taken a ride on the North Star, celebrate your unforgettable ascent with something sparkling, mixed, frosty or tropical. At North Star Bar where the sips are just as impressive as the sights.

Day 18 Cruising

Throughout the day, a wide variety of activities both creative and physical are held across the ship in areas such as the Music Hall and Two70. This venue takes its name from the sweeping 270-degree views offered during the day. The Workshop hosts craft sessions, such as jewellery making and scrapbooking. Passengers can challenge their grey matter with Puzzle Break where teams try to "escape" from a room by solving clues. Puzzle Break can only be booked onboard via the Royal IQ app or guest services. In addition to pool games, there is also Zumba, bingo and trivia quizzes. Don't miss the contemporary dance classes such as hip-hop run by the onboard dancers. Even if you have two left feet, they're a lot of fun. Check the daily program for times and venues.

Kia Ora! (Welcome) With three harbours and 18,000 miles of coastline, New Zealand's largest city offers all the exploration by land or by sea you could ask for. Climb the Sky Tower for panoramic views of the city and the Twin Harbours. Or perhaps jump on a local cruise and head to the Viaduct Basin in Wynyard Quarter to sail the harbour or just relax at a seaside brewery and watch the world go by (additional shore excursions not included and can be booked directly with the cruise line).

Day 20 Bay of Islands, New Zealand 7AM - 4PM (Tender Port)

As one of the key highlights for New Zealand’s north island, the Bay of Islands has stunning scenery, pristine beaches and amazing Maori cultural heritage. Take today to visit Urupukapuka Island, where you can hike through Maori village sites or relax on the white-sand beach. Visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. This is the site where the treaty that made New Zealand into its own nation was signed. Or head out on a dolphin spotting cruise to see the population of bottlenose dolphins that call these waters home (additional shore excursions not included and can be booked directly with the cruise line).

Day 21 Cruising

By day, the pool bars are popular spots for drinks and sundowners; come evening, passengers head to the bars that are situated in and around the midship Royal Esplanade. They all boast a different atmosphere, and passengers are likely to find a favourite and stick to it. Regular events are also held for solo passengers with the aim of fostering new friendships, such as a daily singles and solo travellers lunch, which takes place in Two70.

Day 22 Cruising

Take this last chance to pick up some bargains in the duty free stores, book in for a spa treatment or why not arrive early this morning and pull up a spot close to the pool today to take part or just watch the many activities happening on the pool deck such as water polo, live music and the famous belly flop contest. For incredible views check out the commanding Solarium lookout in the adults only retreat on deck 15.

Royal Caribbean ‘Ovation of the Seas’
Ovation of the Seas is all about innovation and excitement! The third of five Quantum Class ships, this ship boasts many cruise ships firsts - she’s truly a destination in herself. Guests can take adventure to new heights on the rock climbing wall, experience the thrill of skydiving on the RipCord by iFly, or carve it up on the FlowRider surf simulator. After all of that you can ascend over 91 metres above sea level in the North Star. All of this can be done while soaking up the breathtaking views on the many fantastic ports that are to be visited. Onboard you can treat your tastebuds to a whirlwind tour around the world with Italian at Jamie’s Italian, American Steakhouse classics at Chops Grille and the many over the top creations that bring dreams to reality at Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine.

October is the last really warm month in Hawaii, however, the rains will just be starting to pick up as the wet season approaches. Expect average temperatures of 29ºC.
Tahiti / French Polynesia
October brings about the end of the dry season. Daily temperatures will range from the high 20's to low 30’s.
New Zealand
October/November is a pleasant time to travel in New Zealand, as it's late spring. Average daytime high temperatures in spring range from 19°C in the Bay of Islands and 18°C in Auckland.

An ESTA (Visa Waiver) for the USA is a strict requirement when travelling to or flying through the USA. Once a USA ESTA Visa Waiver is issued it is valid for 2 years or until your passport expires (whichever is sooner) and will allow multiple entries into the USA.

Please note: Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. It is also important to note, some areas of employment such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations may have additional restrictions in applying for Visas. This may in turn affect the type of application required.

This includes booking changes requested by you, including but not limited to those changes requiring an airline ticket or a Purchase Confirmation reissue.

• Changes - $100.00 per booking + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel providers.

• If the incorrect name has been advised to TripADeal, charges of $100.00 per booking + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel providers.
Supplier Fees
In the event the Travel Offer you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the Travel Offer due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. TripADeal has committed to these costs as your Agent and will endeavour to recover all funds committed and/or paid for your Travel Offer, but this may not be possible in all circumstances. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event, TripADeal is unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee. This fee is not revenue-raising and is paid to or withheld by our suppliers when recovering payments.
