Day 1 Australia - Stockholm

Upon arrival in Stockholm, make your own way to the hotel and spend an evening exploring this magical city at leisure.

Day 3 Stockholm City Tour

Today, depart on a private first class vehicle with your tour guide to explore the city of Stockholm, built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges, which exudes a unique charm in its combination of 13th-century Old Town with modern high-tech architecture. Stockholm’s islands are bordered by Lake Mälaren in the west and the Baltic Sea in the east, where the archipelago with its 30,000 islands awaits exploration. It is not surprising that the city has earned the nickname “Beauty on Water”. Renowned for its beauty, Stockholm is also the hub of the Baltic area with easy access to the Nordic capitals as well as the Baltic countries. The capital is a big city with a small-town personality. With its handy size and short walking distances, it is easy to cover a lot in a short amount of time. The sightseeing tour, which includes outside visits to the Old Town and the City Hall with its blue and golden halls known for hosting the Nobel festivities, makes for a memorable morning tour. Discover a city of contrasts. Go back 750 years in time and feel the medieval atmosphere as you wander the narrow and cobbled streets of Old Town, or as the locals say "Gamla Stan". During our stroll through Old Town, we will pass by the seven hundred-year-old Cathedral of Stockholm, the seat of the archbishop, while also getting a chance to see Stortorget, where the Stockholm Bloodbath of 1520 took place.

Day 4 Stockholm - Lulea

After Breakfast, be transferred to Arlanda Airport for your domestic flight to Lulea. Upon arrival in Lulea, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Lulea is a coastal city in Swedish Lapland, the perfect place for another adventure with rolling hills, roaring rivers and vast woodlands covered in a blanket of white fluffy snow.

Day 5 Lulea - Kiruna (Approx. 343 KM Day)

This morning, check out of your hotel and continue your journey to Kiruna. On the way, stop off to enjoy a bucket list Icebreaker Arctic Cruise. Feel the power of the ship whilst breaking your way through the frozen sea whilst admiring the white ice views for as far as you can see. The vessel will create an ice-free pool of water where you will have the opportunity to wrap up warm in a survival suit to enjoy the floating ice experience.

After disembarking, continue on route to your next destination for the Sami Visit. This tour is an experience of a lifetime. Absorb yourself deeper in the Sami culture. Listen to the sparkling fire whilst you enjoy a hot beverage and a snack. Experience a genuine gathering around the fireplace in the lavvu (tent house) where you will learn about the Sami history and culture. Take part in the Joik, the traditional Sami way to musically tell a story and to remember the old ways. In the corral, the reindeer will meet you curiously and you will be able to feed them up close. With some luck, you might also get to view the Northern Lights.

Day 6 Kiruna - Narvik (Approx. 173 KM Day)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and be transferred to the Ice Hotel for a visit to this magical place. Every year, when the winter comes, the pristine waters of the Torne River slow down and freeze into ice. On one chilly day in 1989, the first-ever Ice Hotel was hand-sculpted out of these massive ice blocks harvested from this very river running alongside. Today, over three decades later, the Ice Hotel has become a must-visit Swedish landmark for travellers from all parts of the globe.

Cross over to Norway and continue on to Narvik, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 7 Narvik - Svolvaer (Approx. 220 KM day)

Today, transfer to Svolvaer, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Svolvaer attracts adventure seekers and nature-lovers. This picturesque coastal village is home to the largest cod fisheries in the world, between January and April. Keep your eyes peeled for whales - blue, beluga, humpbacks and orca, as well as polar bears, reindeer and arctic foxes. In winter, the streets are full of skiers and snowboarders on their way to the winter sports centre. Explore the shops, cafe galleries and restaurants or choose to embark on an optional activity.

Optional Activity: Trollfjord Rib Excursion at $180 per person
Explore the Lofoten coastline and see the magical wonders of Trollfjord, surrounded by mountains rising 1000 meters from the ocean. You are likely to experience sea eagles at close range, so don’t forget to bring your camera! Experienced guides will offer plenty of good stories and local knowledge, you are guaranteed to be left with everlasting memories.

Day 8 Svolvaer, Lofoten

After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of the Lofoten Islands, Henningsvær, Reine and Å. The Lofoten Islands have some of the most picturesque scenery in the world and have achieved the certificate for the most sustainable destination. Visit Henningsvaer, the famous fishermen's village. This bustling village is actually home to only 500 permanent inhabitants. Then continue to the breathtaking village of Reine, located on the island of Moskenesøya in northern Norway’s Lofoten archipelago. With red and white fisherman's huts dotted across the shoreline and magnificent scenery, this magical destination has earned its reputation as the most beautiful destination in the world. The last stop is Å, which lies on a cape stretching out into the sea of Vestfjorden. The village roots date back to the 1800s and is surrounded by stunning nature, fjords, islands and mountains.

This morning, check out of the hotel and continue your journey to Tromso. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Stop on the way between Lofoten and Tromsø in the area of Moen for approximately 2.5 hours. Embark on an exciting Husky Safari. Wrap up warm with the additional winter clothing provided by your guide before embarking on this magical experience. Enjoy the breeze, hold on tight and dash across this magical winter wonderland. Your sled will be guided by strong, friendly Alaskan huskies, they will take you across snow-covered terrain, frozen lakes and wild forests. Keep on the lookout for Moose and Reindeer whilst taking in the magnificent scenery.
Then enjoy a snowmobile safari into the arctic wilderness. A safari guide will give you a briefing and driving instructions before you pair up to start your snowmobile safari. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you drive through the snowy forests and across the frozen marshlands and lakes. Breathe in the fresh icy air whilst appreciating your silent surroundings. After the activities enjoy a light sandwich lunch and a hot drink whilst reminiscing about the events of the day.

Day 10 Tromso, Norway

Today, enjoy a walking tour of Tromso, a city in Northern Norway. This bustling city is a major cultural hub. Get the feel for how people lived and survived in the arctic in earlier times, and explore how they live and thrive today. Dive into the arctic history and listen to the stories of the arctic heroes. At the same time, find out how modern life here is today and learn about the preferred leisure activities. This walking tour will show you the major sights in Tromsø's compact downtown and harbour area. Walk along the harbour, stroll through Tromsø's main street, Storgata and pass by the picturesque main squares. You will enjoy the mixture of traditional wooden architecture and modern design and see many "northern mosts of the world". Let yourself be surprised by some of the local habits and hidden gems.

Optional Activity: 4-5 Hour Northern Lights Dinner Cruise at $275 per person
Discover the magical winter evening on an Aurora Cruise around Tromso Island. Day 12 Alta, Norway - The Northern Lights Town

Alta is off the beaten track in Northern Norway. Here you can admire the magical Northern Lights on a cloud-free night through autumn and winter. Spend time at leisure, possibly visit the Northern Lights Cathedral, the world heritage rock art or bike through the canyons (not included).
The world’s first permanent northern lights observatory was also built in Alta in the 1800s.

Optional Activity: North Cape Tour including entrance fee and king crab experience at $330 per person.
Drive 2.5 hours to North Cape, the northernmost point in Europe. Imagine a place far above the Arctic Circle with the summer months including never-ending daylight. A magical place where thousands of puffins, gannets and cormorants congregate. Enjoy a glass of cava on arrival and have the possibility to watch a 20-minute movie at the cinema about your surroundings. After, drive to Sarnes and get a chance to see and even hold a live king crab. After the presentation about the life, anatomy and history of these enormous crabs, enjoy a meal with fresh crabs, served with bread, lemon, mayonnaise and mineral water.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and be transferred to Alta Airport for the domestic flight to Oslo. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and then enjoy a 3-hour city tour of Oslo.

Depart on a private first-class vehicle, together with your local authorised guide. Begin your visit with a walk around the Opera House, which opened in April 2008. From the spectacular outdoor terrace, you will be able to enjoy stunning views across the Oslo fjord. The tour continues past the Akershus Fortress for a short walk and photo stop. For 700 years, Akershus Fortress has played a central role in Norwegian history. As a Royal residence, centre of administration, and a military fortification, the fortress and the castle have set the stage for both mundane and dramatic events. The Vigeland Park, one of the major Scandinavian cultural treasures, will welcome you with the sculptures of Gustav Vigeland, who dedicated his life to his artistic works. You will enjoy a leisurely walk while experiencing fascinating works of art. During the tour of Oslo, you will also pass by the Royal Palace and the main street, Karl Johan.

Other important information

Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on the history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. 
Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides at each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however, they are not required to have specific knowledge of art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. 
Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. 
Norway & Sweden
In Finland and Sweden, the average temperature between December and March is around -4°C. December can be quite cold, so travellers should be aware of this and pack accordingly with warm layers, coats and boots to get ready for this magical snowy winter experience.
Winter Clothing
As the temperature can get quite cold it is advisable to bring thermal clothing with you. Winter clothing will be provided for the activities (Huskies/Snowmobiles).
Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points:
At TripADeal we do not arrange seat selection. It is essential to highlight that some airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the airline directly with seating allocation requirements and or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the airline once you have your flight information.
Passport Validity:
Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 45 days prior to the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any
13 meals in total are included in the package. For all other meals, the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. It is your responsibility to notify TripADeal of any dietary requests/requirements. Please note: We will do our best to meet your requests/requirements, however, we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.
Fitness Level Required / Mobility:
Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so, unfortunately, our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. 
Please note: A general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.
Gratuities / Tipping:
Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for the services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip is €5 per person per day. This covers the guide/leader and the driver and will be collected whilst on tour. 
Tipping for all services provided on tour is always a matter of personal discretion, however, please be aware that tipping is considered by many locals to be a part of their normal remuneration and they may approach you for payment and there is no need to be intimidated by the request.
Please note: In the event entrance to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary where possible, will be adjusted or similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all of your receipts.

Supplier Fees
In the event the Travel Offer you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the Travel Offer due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. TripADeal has committed to these costs as your Agent and will endeavour to recover all funds committed and/or paid for your Travel Offer, but this may not be possible in all circumstances. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event, TripADeal is unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee. This fee is not revenue-raising and is paid to or withheld by our suppliers when recovering payments.
