4 Day Red Centre Safari 2022

  • Visit sacred Uluru, Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon
  • Sleep beneath the stars in comfortable safari tents
Includes guides, 4WD vehicle, park fees & more

From sacred Uluru to the sheer cliffs of Kings Canyon in Watarrka and beyond, Australia’s Red Centre is a beautiful, historical and deeply spiritual destination that deserves more than a fleeting visit. Though long dismissed as ‘too hard and too far away’, it’s now more accessible than ever. And it’s waiting to reveal its story. Are you ready to experience the wonders of the outback in 2022?

Choose from two departure locations, Alice Springs or Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort), and dive straight into the icons of the region. Stroll around the base of Uluru, learning about the importance of the site for the local Anangu People. Finish the day with a glass of sparkling wine as the setting sun casts the sacred rock ablaze in red, orange and gold. You’ll also explore the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tkuta, enjoy stunning views of the George Gill Ranges, stroll amid the towering cliffs of Kings Canyon, and sleep beneath the stars in a purpose built eco-camp with safari tents and beds. Two professional guides will be with you every step of the way, helping you to go behind the scenery and discover what makes this remarkable region tick.

Show All Info

The adventure begins. Starting times will vary depending on your departure location:
- For those electing to start in Alice Springs, you will be collected from your accommodation (or nearest pick up point) for the drive to one of Australia’s most famous icons – Uluru.
- Guests starting at Ayers Rock Resort, located in Yulara, will join the group and we all then travel the short distance to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

The afternoon is dedicated to exploring this extraordinary monolith, starting with a walk led by your guide, and hearing of the Indigenous law and religion (Tjukurpa) of this area. Learn about the art and culture of the local custodians, the Anangu people, and visit the acclaimed Cultural Centre where you can explore the displays and learn of the flora and fauna unique to this area.

Experience the changing colours of Uluru at sunset, complete with sparkling wine and nibbles and plenty of photo opportunities. This is a great time to kick back and contemplate the vastness of the desert while getting to know your fellow travellers. Afterwards settle in at the private camp, in your comfortable safari tent with beds, complete with the signature Endless Star dining experience before retiring for the night.

Pick Up Times:
- Alice Springs pick up is from 6:00am. Guests starting in Alice Springs must arrive into Alice Springs the day prior to tour commencement.

Afterwards, continue to Kings Creek Cattle Station for the second night’s remote private bush camp, complete with flushing bush toilets and hot showers. With nobody else for miles, this camp has stunning views out over the George Gill Ranges and gives you a real feel for the outback. Dinner around the campfire makes for a very social time with another night out under the stars. Tonight, listen for the sound of dingos howling in the distance while watching the desert sky light up above you.

Today head to Watarrka (Kings Canyon) for a mind blowing 6km walk through the towering walls, crevices and plateaus of Watarrka. Vsit the Amphitheatre, Lost City and the tranquil ‘Garden of Eden’.

Enjoy a leisurely guided walk with indigenous custodians while learning about bush tucker and the healing powers of bush medicine, and gain an insight into Aboriginal dot painting.

Later we return to Yulara to our camp once again, all the while the stars glistening above keeping us company and curious, the shear magnitude of the Central Australian night sky has to be seen and contemplated.
