Known as an excellent snorkel site that is easily accessible in most conditions, with a rich diversity of coral, fish and other marine life with an exceptionally beautiful beach and bay.

Also, time permitting head to Cape Range National Park for the short hike through the arid rocky gorges on the Yardie Nature Walk. Located adjacent to the Ningaloo Marine Park, the rugged Cape Range in the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage area is a very unique area combining marine and terrestrial environments.

Please note: Meeting time on day 1 is approximately 2:00pm at the Potshot Hotel, or at the airport at 2:30 - 3:00pm and will be confirmed by the tour operator after purchase.

Overnight: Potshot Hotel Exmouth or similar
Meals included: Dinner

Today you can choose to relax, or take the opportunity to do a once in a lifetime activity by snorkelling and swimming with whale sharks (not included).

Every year whale sharks, the world’s largest known fish, make their way to the peaceful waters off the coast of Exmouth in their quest for food. Ningaloo Reef’s remarkable eco-system attracts hundreds of whale sharks with its abundance of naturally- occurring food that starts with the annual spawning of coral in March, and continues with the upwelling of nutrient-rich waters from the continental shelf that lies beneath Ningaloo. With plankton drifting closer to the surface, whale sharks gather en masse at Ningaloo to take advantage of easy, abundant feeding.

While whale sharks can grow to an impressive 15 metres in length and have a mouth almost 1.5 metres wide, they pose no danger to humans. They are calm, slow moving, naturally curious fish that are undisturbed by snorkelers swimming in close proximity. Whale sharks prefer warm and temperate seas, and while they can be found in several other locations around the world for a month or two, there is no place quite like Ningaloo Reef to meet naturally-feeding whale sharks in such a large congregation across such an extended season. You’ll be awestruck by their size and beauty.

Join other members of the group snorkelling with these gentle giants with a highly experienced and professional crew that will ensure your interactions with the biggest fish in the sea are relaxed, safe, and most importantly, unforgettable!

Be first on the water while aircraft spot whale sharks and humpback whales from above and head directly to their location, guaranteeing more time swimming with the whale sharks. You will also see other marine life and coral from the fully equipped and customised vessels, while enjoying a full range of refreshments, beverages, and a tasty lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea. We’re proud to also donate a portion of every whale shark swim to Parks and Wildlife to assist in their research initiatives. The swim with whale sharks and Ningaloo Reef day trip add-on is $420 per person and bookable directly with the tour operator after your trip confirmation.

In the evening today the group will go to Vlamingh Head Lighthouse for sunset.

Overnight: Potshot Hotel Exmouth or similar

Today you can choose to relax after your fun and informative last five days, or take the opportunity to do a once in a lifetime activity by snorkelling and swimming with whale sharks (not included).

They are calm, slow moving, naturally curious fish that are undisturbed by snorkellers swimming in close proximity.
