After breakfast, you will be transferred from the resort around 7:30-8:00am to Khao Sok. En-route, enjoy glimpses of tropical rural life in southern Thailand. Upon arrival at Elephant Hills Camp, a buffet lunch featuring a variety of delicious Thai dishes will be served around 12:00pm.

After lunch, you can relax during a jungle river canoe trip down the Sok River. The canoes are very stable and safe, with life jackets provided as well as a local river guide to paddle the canoe. You will drift along the jungle river passing Limestone Mountains and cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation.

Arriving at the elephant park, you will be able to see, touch and learn about the life of Thai elephants and the Elephant Hills conservation project. Your guide will also teach you about the mahout, the elephant caretaker. While participating in this amazing Elephant Experience you will get very close to and even get your hands on these magnificent animals. You will have the chance to interact with them and learn the secrets of their mahouts. You will prepare and feed them one of their daily meals, including their dietary supplements that help with their digestion and their overall well-being.

After all this activity close to nature, it is time for a hot shower in the unique bathroom of your luxury safari tent. Relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding jungle-covered mountains. A wide selection of cocktails, wines and spirits are available at the Jungle Explorer’s Club Bar. Optional evening entertainment includes a movie presentation, a traditional Thai dance performance from local school children, and a cooking demonstration, where you learn how to properly prepare Thai specialties. At 8:00pm it is time for dinner in this unique location beside the rainforest; the sounds and the atmosphere will make this a truly memorable meal.

Overnight: Elephant Hills Jungle Camp
Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch;Dinner

Wake up to the sounds of nature and birds calling from the bushes next to the tent. By the time the sun comes up and the mist over the rainforest-covered mountains to the south of Elephant Hills clears, gibbons’ territorial morning calls echo down the valley. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in your tent for early risers; breakfast is at your leisure.

Today you will explore Cheow-Larn-Lake by local long-tail boat. Cruise across emerald waters passing towering rainforest covered Limestone Mountains to the ‘Gulf’ of Southern Thailand. The Cheow-Larn-Lake is a little known wonder of the region and features a first-class habitat for wild elephants, the rare Asian ox, hornbills and hundreds of other tropical birds, various monkey species, amphibians, reptiles and even tigers and leopards.

Head to the floating Elephant Hills Rainforest Camp, situated in the heart of the national park, where staff will check you in to your luxury tent. Sit back and enjoy the surrounding views of Cheow-Larn-Lake whilst enjoying a fabulous buffet lunch of Thai dishes which are prepared directly on the property.

Watch the sunset behind the towering limestone mountains from the deckchair in front of your tent after a refreshing dip in the water and the inevitable shower before dinner is served.

Overnight: Elephant Hills Rainforest Camp
Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch;Dinner

Wake up to the sounds of Gibbons calling high up in the trees as the clearing mist unveils the true beauty of the lake. Don’t think twice: As the jungle starts to stir, you could already be out there exploring prehistoric beauty in your canoe! Or do you wish to submerge into the glassy surface of the lake first?

After breakfast, your guide will invite you to join in on a guided canoe safari into the little channels and side arms of Cheow-Larn-Lake.

Before travelling on, the last lunch is served at the floating tented camp. After lunch, it is time to return to the pier and move on to your next destination.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

- Khao Sok is warm and humid year-round, with an average high of 31 °C and low of 24 °C. Statistically speaking the hottest months are March and April, but with a range of 30-32 °C, there really isn't much in it!
- The highest average temperature in Khanom is 30°C in may and the lowest is 28°C in january. The water temperature is between 28°C and 31°C.

Passport Validity
Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase, or no later than 45 days prior to departure date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking. In this instance customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.

Luggage
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.

Rainforest Camp
In order to improve your experience at Elephant Hills and the Rainforest Camp, a new reception area has been built nearby the Cheow Larn Lake. This area is used for luggage storage and when heading to the Rainforest Camp (floating luxury tented camp) you will stop here. Large bags will be left here and only overnight packs or hand luggage will be taken to the Rainforest Camp.

Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also quite common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate on your arrival back home.
