CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES
Margaret River
In summer, there is little rainfall and the average maximum temperature is just under 30 degrees Celsius. Hot days are usually cooled off with lovely afternoon sea breezes. Summer evenings are balmy to mild, with temperatures around 15.5 degrees Celsius.

Most of the rainfall occurs in the winter but winter still has plenty of glorious sunny days. Winter enjoys mild temperatures that average 16 to 18 degrees with some days in the early 20’s. Winter evenings are mild and average above 8 degrees Celsius but are still cool enough to enjoy a log fire. Spring and autumn are lovely and warm with plenty of sunny days.

Esperance Area
During the month of January, February, March, April, May, October, November and December you are most likely to experience good weather with pleasant average temperatures that fall between 20 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius. The warmest month is January with an average maximum temperature of 25°C. The coldest month is July with an average maximum temperature of 17°C.

Nullarbor
The Nullarbor has a desert climate, with arid to semi-arid conditions. Inland, summers can be scorching hot, with daytime temperatures close to 50 °C, while in winter nights can drop well below freezing. Closer to the coast, the temperature is milder with more rainfall in the winter months.

Eyre Peninsula
The region enjoys a Mediterranean style climate, a couple of degrees cooler than Adelaide in summer, and a degree or two warmer in winter. On the coast, average maximum temperatures range from 25-32°C in summer and 12-18°C in winter. Average maximum temperatures are higher inland. The warm, balmy days of autumn offer excellent touring weather, particularly for those who like to avoid the peak summer season. But the mild climate makes for ideal overall weather for a holiday, and that warm summer sunshine is perfect for the beach bums.
