Enjoy today an excursion to Sergiyev Posad, the city and administrative centre of Moscow's Sergiyevo-Posadsky District. Blue and gold cupolas offset by snow-white walls; the colour-scheme of Sergiyev Posad’s monastery is a text book example of Russia's perception of divinity. In the Trinity Cathedral – the town’s main landmark – glimpse icons painted by Andrei Rublev and Daniel Chorny. Afterwards transfer back to Moscow.

After breakfast, transfer to the port for embarkation on your fabulous 11-night river cruise. Relax in the afternoon in your stateroom and afterwards enjoy a musical evening and dinner onboard.

Today begins with a bus tour of the highlights of Moscow. Moscow is an “eternal third Rome”, the capital of Russia. Moscow does not fit the typical definition of a beautiful city, from an architectural point of view, yet it has a hidden beauty which soon captures your heart. See Leningradsky Avenue, Tverskaya Street, Theatralny Passage, Lubyanka, KGB building, and Manezh Square. Afterwards enjoy free time in the famous Red Square, home to an unforgettable ensemble of architectural monuments of various epochs. St. Basil’s Cathedral in particular is one of the most recognisable monuments in all of Russia. As the tour continues, see the Historical Museum, the Resurrection Gate, the Kazan Church, the Intercession Cathedral, and the Kremlin Towers. Afterwards make a short stop to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, and continue on to the Kremlin - a fortified complex at the heart of Moscow. Return onboard in the late afternoon.

This morning enjoy a Souvenir Shop lecture onboard. In the afternoon enjoy a walking city tour of Uglich, one of Russia's well-preserved riverine tourist destinations, on the banks of the Volga River. The town is often included into the Golden Ring of Russia. See Uglich’s Kremlin and Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood. The Cathedral was erected in 1485 in place of a dilapidated wooden church of the XIII century. Afterwards rejoin the ship, raise anchor and continue downstream towards Yaroslavl.

After breakfast, a coach will take you through a city tour of Yaroslavl's UNESCO listed old quarter - well known for its 17th century temples. Among its highlights are the frescoes of Il’ya the Prophet Church on the main square; Nikola Nadein Church, with its gilded baroque carvings; and the unique fifteen-dome Ioan Predtechi Church. Rejoin the ship for lunch and continue your cruise to Goritsy. Relax in the afternoon or join some activities onboard.

This morning be delighted by the Russian Tea Ceremony onboard. In the afternoon, explore the picturesque river town of Goritsy. The highlight is the Resurrection Convent, which stands at the shoreline. From Goritsy, a bus will drive you to the nearby town of Kirillov to tour the Monastery of St. Cyril on the White Lake - one of the major Orthodox strongholds of Old Russia. Founded in the 14th century, the remarkably well-preserved monastery fascinates visitors with its majestic churches enclosed within austere fortress walls. The monastery is also famous for its museum of icons, some of which are the oldest in Russia. Return to the ship and sail on to Kizhi.

Today dock on the island of Kizhi. Enjoy an afternoon walking tour of the island, which is located at the northern end of the Onega Lake, the second largest in Europe. The island is 7 km long, 1,5 wide, longwise and elongated. It was likely a site of pagan rites for Ugrian and Finnish tribes. The island first gained significance in the 14th century as a trading point between the White Sea to the north and the merchant-dominated city of Novgorod on the Volkhov River. Visit the open-air museum of different wood structures, including more than 70 chapels, belfries, log-houses, mills, bath-houses, and barns. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Pirate’s Dinner onboard and evening show as the ship sails to Mandrogui.

After breakfast, enjoy free time in the small village of Mandroga. The population is small, yet industrious and enterprising. Of note is the traditional Russian village, where you can see wood-carving, visit a museum, buy souvenirs, and enjoy a heart Russian meal with vodka or tea. Another attraction is the Museum of Vodka, which showcases the history of the drink and the production process. There is a tasting bar where the visitors can taste best sorts of Russian vodka (entrance excluded). In the evening, the Captain will invite you to an exclusive gala dinner as the ship sails on to Saint Petersburg.

Dock at Saint Petersburg in the morning. After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Saint Petersburg. See the Royal Peterhof Palace lower park, the Grand Cascade with the Samson Fountain, Greenhouse, Roman Fountains, The Chessboard Hill Cascade, Trick Fountains, and the Monplaisir Palace, plus view the Gulf of Finland. Enjoy lunch in a local city restaurant. Continue your visit with a bus city tour taking in the highlights of Saint Petersburg, from the Tauride (Tavrichesky) Palace, the Summer Garden, the Palace embankment, the Winter Palace, the Spire of the Basil Island, The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, and more. Also see the Boat House, Peter I Monument, Commandant's house, Nevsky Gate, St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral. Rejoin the ship at the end of the day.

Relax onboard this morning or enjoy free time at leisure in Saint Petersburg. In the afternoon, take a rivers and canals tour through Saint Petersburg by specialised tour boat. Built across the marshlands of the Neva River delta, St. Petersburg has long been called the 'Venice of the North'. In the city centre, St. Petersburg's famous granite embankments are home to many of the city's grandest buildings, and the best way to see them is by boat.

Today enjoy a visit to the famous Hermitage Museum. One of the largest and oldest in the world, it was founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great and has been open to the public since 1852. Its collections, of which only a small part is on permanent display, comprise over three million. Visit the (Egyptian hall, War Gallery of 1812, St. George Hall, the Peter the Great (Small Throne) Room, Italian Art collection (Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Michelangelo), Dutch Art (Rembrandt), Spanish Art (Ribera, Velázquez). In the evening take part to a typical Russian Folklore show and Cocktail at the Nikolaevsky Palace, one of several palaces designed by Andreas Stackensneider for the children of Nicholas I of Russia. This palace is among the most valuable national monuments of Russia, along with the Kremlin and Hermitage. Here in the nicely decorated Concert Hall of the Nikolaevsky Palace you will have opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable folk show with different forms of Russian art performed to your delight. Rejoin the ship at night.
