Upon arrival at Osaka Airport you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel. The second largest city in Japan, Osaka has the nickname ‘Tenka no Daidokoro’ (the Nation’s Kitchen) thanks to its reputation as a gourmand’s paradise, so be sure to try some local cuisine.

Today travel towards the city of Fukuyama. En-route, stop in a region known for its sake production just outside the city of Kobe, where you will visit the famous Hakutsuru Sake Brewery and learn how traditional Japanese Sake is made. Afterwards continue to the town of Kurashiki and visit the Bikan Historical Quarter. With its scenic canals lined with weeping willows, Edo-period gardens and historic merchant houses, the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter offers an authentic taste of old Japan in one of the oldest merchant towns. Travel on to Fukuyama and enjoy the night at leisure.

After breakfast, travel to Miyajimaguchi and take a short cruise over to Miyajima Island, where you will see the famous Itsukushima Shrine - a UNESCO World Heritage site that, at high tide, appears to be floating on water. After Miyajima, travel to Hiroshima. Here you will visit Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to take a stroll through the beautiful park, see the strings of paper cranes representing peace, and see the Atomic Bomb Dome (Genbaku Dome), the only original structure left standing in the area. You will also visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, featuring exhibitions of items related to the atomic bomb and advocating for world peace and the abolishment of nuclear weapons. This afternoon transfer back to Fukuyama for an evening at leisure.

This morning you will depart Fukuyama and journey back to Osaka. Upon arrival in Osaka, stop to explore the Osaka Castle Garden. Surrounded by greenery, the garden commands a splendid view of the castle tower and the stone wall surrounding the moat. The castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama period in the sixteenth century. Later today, enjoy some free time in Shinsaibashi, the prime shopping area in Osaka before transferring back to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Today depart Osaka and head to Nagoya. On the way visit the amazing Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) a UNESCO Heritage Listed Site and perfect spot to snap an iconic Kyoto photo. Afterwards visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233m and belongs to the shrine grounds, and is well-known thanks to its inclusion in the film ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’. In the afternoon continue onwards to Nagoya where you will enjoy an evening at leisure.

This morning visit Atsuta Jingu shrine in Nagoya, one of Shinto’s most important shrines. It enshrines the Sun Goddess Amaterasu and stores the sacred sword Kusanagi, which is one of the three imperial regalia. Please note, however, that the sword is never displayed to the public. This afternoon visit Narai-juku, an old town taking you back hundreds of years to 17th century Japan and Tsumagoi Village. Continue onto Matsumoto and check into the hotel.

Today, leave Matsumoto and drive to Mt Fuji’s 5th Station. Located 2300m above sea level, it offers a vantage point for Mt Fuji and the surrounding lakes (weather permitting). The 5th Station also features shrines, torii gates and souvenir shops. Afterwards continue onwards to Lake Ashi, nearby in Hakone National Park, to admire the scenery as you take a short cruise across the lake. The waters are overlooked by surrounding mountains, including Mt Fuji and Mt Komagatake. This evening arrive in Yokohama, check-in to your hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure.

This morning after breakfast travel to Tokyo. See the best of Tokyo today as you visit some of the city’s main shrines and shopping areas. First, you will visit the Meiji Shrine, a key Shinto religious site that was dedicated to the Imperial Family in 1926. Then drive past the Japanese House of Parliament to the Imperial Palace East Garden. This idyllic outdoor space, home to a traditional Japanese garden, tea pavilion, stone walls and a moat, is situated within the complex of an Edo-era castle. Continue to Nakamise Shopping Street and Asakusa Kannon (Sensoji) Temple, one of Japan’s most important Buddhist sites. Explore the neon-tinged streets of the Ginza district, a premier shopping destination of department stores and cinemas. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Japanese summer begins in June and it becomes hot and humid from July onward. Summer is when many interesting festivals and other events are held all over the country.

Autumn always brings such freshness with a light breeze and cool temperature after the hot and humid summer. The Autumn colours are very beautiful across the country.

Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. 
Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. 
Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. 
Daily breakfast is included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require.
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.
