Home of the rich and famous, Monaco is like another world! Home to Grace Kelly, the Monaco Grand Prix, one of the most impressive harbours (purely for the size of the yachts!) Bid France farewell and cross the border into Italy. Travel through the quaint coastal villages before stopping in the famous port city of Genoa for the night.

After breakfast you will be transferred to La Spezia for a special half day excursion by boat of Cinque Terre. Today we will depart after breakfast at the hotel, heading along the Sacred Valley towards the archaeological site of Moray. As with many Inca ruins, its exact function remains a mystery though the design of ever-wider concentric circular terraces meant each level had a different microclimate.
Continue to Maras, where the salt ponds create a dazzling scene. The thousands of small ponds give work to and help feed many local families. During Inca times, the salt deposits were an important economic centre and of great value to the imperial economy. After Maras, we will have lunch in a nearby restaurant, and then head to Ollantaytambo to visit the Inca site and the old Inca town.

Enjoy your breakfast and take it easy this morning. Mid morning drive 30 minutes to the Ollantaytambo train station where you will board the train. After an approximate 1.5-hour journey of majestic views, arrive at Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs Town) to spend the night. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo. After lunch, you will board a bus for a 25-minute ride to Machu Picchu. The ‘Lost City of the Incas’ had lain abandoned in the heavens for four centuries until American explorer Hiram Bingham reach the site in 1911. Machu Picchu is believed to have been built in the 1450s by Inca emperor Pachacuti as a holiday retreat yet within a century the city would be abandoned following the Spanish conquest. The Spaniards never found it, so it was untouched. Instead, it was slowly swallowed up by the jungle and hidden from harm. A guided tour explains the origins behind this awe-inspiring citadel and the most prominent landmarks among the 200 or so buildings such as the monumental Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds.

May, is the final month of autumn, the low and high temperature averages range between 6°C - 20°C.
Winter comes to Johannesburg in June bringing with it an average high temperature 18°C. July is the coldest and driest month of the year in Johannesburg with a peak low temperature average of 3°C.
In August, the temperatures begin to increase again as winter comes to an end. The average high temperature increases by 5 degrees to 21°C.
The beautiful spring season comes to Johannesburg in September. This month sees a quick increase in average high temperatures to 25°C alongside the average low temperature which rises to 9°C.
October brings about 3 inches (79 mm) of rainfall to Johannesburg. The low temperature average and high temperature average both see increases to 52°F (11°C) and 78°F (26°C) respectively.

October is a very cool time of year to visit Paris, France, when the weather can be cold and wet. At this time of year, the average temperature starts off at14° and drops down to 9.5°C by the end of the month.

Rome, Italy:
May through to June are beautiful months, with plenty of sunshine and long days. The weather in Rome will be in the comfortable 20-30 °C during the day, and 70’s 15-20 °C at night. Partly because of the beautiful weather, and partly because these are vacation months for many people, spring is high season in Rome and other Italian art cities.
Mid July – August are hot, with temperatures in the 30-40 °C during the day, and 720-30 °C at night. It can be very humid and you will need to rest and/or stay indoors between 1 and 4pm. Because of the heat, and because Italians tend to leave the capital during these months, this is mid-season in Rome and other Italian art cities, but high season at any Italian coastal cities or islands.
September – October are the busiest months of year in Italy’s art cities. The weather in Rome Italy in the fall is beautiful, in the 15-20 °C during the day, and 10-18 °C at night.

SOUTH AMERICA:
Cusco, Peru:
Cusco´s dry season is from May to October. 
The weather during this time is predominantly dry especially during June, July and August. 
The dry season is widely considered the best time to travel, but it is also one of the busiest times to travel.
Spring-like during the day all year round, but with cold nights in the winter period from May to August, when the minimum temperatures are near freezing 0 °C ;During the day, the temperatures are uniform throughout the year, and reach 20/22 °C.

Lima, Peru:
May Average temperatures: 16 - 21 degrees Celsius. 
June - October Average temperatures: 15 - 18 degrees Celsius.
Lima tends to be rather humid and warm all year long. 
From May – September Lima is shrouded in a dense fog called La Garua; a thick layer of low-hanging clouds paired with low temperatures and gloomy drizzle.
At this time of year Lima is hot and humid while further along the coast it’s warm and sunny and the temperature of the ocean is great for swimming. 
You'll likely find misty fog and light rain through the city's winter months, but this also means you can expect discounts on lodging as tourist demand is lower. This is also a good time to experience local festivals and celebrations, such as Peruvian Independence Day. 

Buenos Aires, Argentina:
The weather in Buenos Aires is ideal in fall (Mar-May) and spring (Sept-Nov). 
The best travel deals are between April and June. June to August are the winter months in Buenos Aires.
Winters are cold with mild temperatures during the day and cold nights.Highs during the season average 16.3 °C while lows average 8.1 °C; Lows rarely drop below 0 °C 
The most beautiful time to visit, however, is in October and November when the jacaranda trees are in bloom. 
Spring in Buenos Aires are typically mild during the day with cool to cold nights. The average high is 22.5 °C while the average low is 13.2 °C.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. 

Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. 

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured. 

COACH TOUR
Meals:
Some meals are included on the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require.

Luggage:
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of their luggage from the coach.

Gratuities:
Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip for the tour leader and driver is as follows per person per day, which will be collected whilst on tour.
- South Africa: 50 South African Rand
- Europe: 5 Euro
- Argentina: 60 Argentine Peso
- Peru: 10 Peruvian Sol

Fitness Level Required / Mobility:
Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. 
Please note: a reasonable level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.



South Africa: 
A Tourist visa is not required for stays in South Africa for up to 90 days; if travelling with a machine readable Australian Passport. Please note: Yellow Fever Vaccination: Effective 1st October 2011, all travellers to South Africa (even in airport transit) who have been in countries where Yellow Fever is endemic, are required to provide proof of Yellow Fever vaccination (issued at least 10 days before arrival). Passengers without an international Yellow Fever certificate will be refused entry. Yellow Fever certificates are required if the journey starts or entails passing through the Yellow Fever belt of Africa or South America.

Europe:
A Tourist visa is not required for an accumulative total stay of 90 days per 180 calendar days if travelling on an Australian Passport.

Peru:
A Tourist visa is not required for stays in Peru for up to 183 days; if travelling on an Australian Passport.

Argentina:
A Tourist visa is not required for stays of up to 90 days in Argentina if travelling on an Australian Passport.
Please note: Australian citizens travelling to Argentina from the 1st of July 2017 onwards will not be required to pay the current reciprocity fee of $100 USD to enter the country. Australian tourists may be eligible to enter Argentina from this date onwards without a visa for visits up to 90 days. Contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Argentina for the most up-to-date information. 

Please Note: Passengers who are not Australian citizens must check with the respective consulate or a visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required.
