Today head out of Cannes and travel along the Riviera to Nice, the capital of the French Riviera a stunning seaside location, famous for its fabulous markets, enticing old town, glorious architecture and a wealth of super restaurants. Then head towards Monaco!
Home of the rich and famous, Monaco is like another world! Home to Grace Kelly, the Monaco Grand Prix, one of the most impressive harbours (purely for the size of the yachts!) Bid France farewell and cross the border into Italy. Travel through the quaint coastal villages before stopping in the famous port city of Genoa for the night.
After breakfast you will be transferred to La Spezia for a special half day excursion by boat of Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre means “five lands”, and Italy’s famous Cinque Terre are five perched seaside villages along a strung of cliffs of the Region: Manorola, Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Varnazza and Monterosso al Mare. Today we will depart after breakfast at the hotel, heading along the Sacred Valley towards the archaeological site of Moray. As with many Inca ruins, its exact function remains a mystery though the design of ever-wider concentric circular terraces meant each level had a different microclimate.
Continue to Maras, where the salt ponds create a dazzling scene. The thousands of small ponds give work to and help feed many local families. During Inca times, the salt deposits were an important economic centre and of great value to the imperial economy. After Maras, we will have lunch in a nearby restaurant, and then head to Ollantaytambo to visit the Inca site and the old Inca town.
Enjoy your breakfast and take it easy this morning. Mid morning drive 30 minutes to the Ollantaytambo train station where you will board the train. After an approximate 1.5-hour journey of majestic views, arrive at Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs Town) to spend the night. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo. After lunch, you will board a bus for a 25-minute ride to Machu Picchu. The ‘Lost City of the Incas’ had lain abandoned in the heavens for four centuries until American explorer Hiram Bingham reach the site in 1911. Machu Picchu is believed to have been built in the 1450s by Inca emperor Pachacuti as a holiday retreat yet within a century the city would be abandoned following the Spanish conquest. The Spaniards never found it, so it was untouched. Instead, it was slowly swallowed up by the jungle and hidden from harm. A guided tour explains the origins behind this awe-inspiring citadel and the most prominent landmarks among the 200 or so buildings such as the monumental Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds.Overnight: El Mapi by Inkaterra, Aguas Calientes Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch

May, is the final month of autumn, the low and high temperature averages range between 6°C - 20°C.
Winter comes to Johannesburg in June bringing with it an average high temperature 18°C. July is the coldest and driest month of the year in Johannesburg with a peak low temperature average of 3°C.
In August, the temperatures begin to increase again as winter comes to an end. The average high temperature increases by 5 degrees to 21°C.
The beautiful spring season comes to Johannesburg in September. This month sees a quick increase in average high temperatures to 25°C alongside the average low temperature which rises to 9°C.
October brings about 3 inches (79 mm) of rainfall to Johannesburg. The low temperature average and high temperature average both see increases to 52°F (11°C) and 78°F (26°C) respectively.
The weather in Paris, France improves dramatically in May, when the summer season is just around the corner. At this time of year, the average temperature for the city increases from 12.5°C on May 1st all the way up to 16°C by May 31st.

September – October are the busiest months of year in Italy’s art cities. The weather in Rome Italy in the fall is beautiful, in the 15-20 °C during the day, and 10-18 °C at night.
Cusco´s dry season is from May to October.
The weather during this time is predominantly dry especially during June, July and August.
The dry season is widely considered the best time to travel, but it is also one of the busiest times to travel.

Lima tends to be rather humid and warm all year long.

At this time of year Lima is hot and humid while further along the coast it’s warm and sunny and the temperature of the ocean is great for swimming.
You'll likely find misty fog and light rain through the city's winter months, but this also means you can expect discounts on lodging as tourist demand is lower. This is also a good time to experience local festivals and celebrations, such as Peruvian Independence Day.
Buenos Aires, Argentina:
The weather in Buenos Aires is ideal in fall (Mar-May) and spring (Sept-Nov).
The best travel deals are between April and June. June to August are the winter months in Buenos Aires.
Winters are cold with mild temperatures during the day and cold nights.Highs during the season average 16.3 °C while lows average 8.1 °C; Lows rarely drop below 0 °C
The most beautiful time to visit, however, is in October and November when the jacaranda trees are in bloom.
Spring in Buenos Aires are typically mild during the day with cool to cold nights. The average high is 22.5 °C while the average low is 13.2 °C.
TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group.
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.
Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.
Some meals are included on the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require.
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of their luggage from the coach.
Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip for the tour leader and driver is as follows per person per day, which will be collected whilst on tour.

A Tourist visa is not required for stays in South Africa for up to 90 days; if travelling with a machine readable Australian Passport. Please note: Yellow Fever Vaccination: Effective 1st October 2011, all travellers to South Africa (even in airport transit) who have been in countries where Yellow Fever is endemic, are required to provide proof of Yellow Fever vaccination (issued at least 10 days before arrival). Passengers without an international Yellow Fever certificate will be refused entry. Yellow Fever certificates are required if the journey starts or entails passing through the Yellow Fever belt of Africa or South America.
A Tourist visa is not required for an accumulative total stay of 90 days per 180 calendar days if travelling on an Australian Passport.
