Upon arrival your exciting journey begins. Arrive into Tokyo and be met by the tour guide and transferred to the hotel.

Today visit famous Mount Fuji and nearby Lake Ashi on a full day tour from Tokyo. Along the way get a sense of the amazing natural landscape in the immediate region just outside Tokyo. Upon arrival at Mt Fuji, enjoy the astounding views of the entire region and an informative museum that details the ecology, meteorology, culture and history of the mountain and the nearby Fuji Five Lakes. You’ll also have time during your stop to check out the second-floor observation deck (weather permitting), offering stunning vistas of the mountain on clear days.

Continue to Mount Fuji’s Fifth Station, which lies about halfway up the mountain, for more incredible views. Take 30 minutes to wander the sites souvenir store and its Torii Gates and Shrines, which help commemorate the mountain's symbolic role as a transition between heaven and earth. Next head to Lake Ashi, which lies in a crater formed by a massive volcanic eruption around 3,000 years ago. Take a short 15-minute cruise of this postcard-perfect body of water, admiring views of Mount Fuji, Mount Komagatake and other peaks in the distance. Please note: views of Mt Fuji are subject to weather conditions.

This morning enjoy a stop at the Imperial Palace for a quick photo opportunity. Continue with a stop at the ancient Asakusa Kannon Temple, (also called Senso-ji) a landmark that is the city’s oldest Buddhist sanctuary. Then take a drive through Akihabara - an atmospheric neighbourhood of glowing neon, full of electronics vendors selling all forms of appliances and computer gear - and Ueno, a lovely section of Tokyo known for its many parks, temples and museums, as well as the famous Ameyoko Street, which hosts a well-known market. Afterwards transfer to Yokohama Port to board your home for the next 22 nights, the 'Diamond Princess’ ship. This evening the cruise departs at 5:00pm.

TOUR GUIDE vs TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. 

Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. 

Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all TripADeal travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

COACH TOUR
Meals:
Daily breakfast is included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require.

Luggage :
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and offloading of their luggage from the coach.

Gratuities:
Pre-paid gratuities onboard the cruise are included in the package price. Any optional extras purchased onboard the cruise will have up to an 18% gratuity added. 
The recommended tip for tour guides and the driver on the land tour is JPY600 per person, per day (approx. $7 AUD) which will be collected whilst on tour.

Fitness Level Required / Mobility:
Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile.

A Tourist visa for Vietnam is a strict requirement if travelling on an Australian passport.
A Vietnam visa will be issued upon the ship's arrival and therefore you are not required to obtain one in advance of your cruise; a visa fee will be applied to your stateroom account. If you are participating in an overland tour, or ending your cruise in Vietnam, one passport-size photograph is required. Visa fees and requirements are subject to change without notice.
