Today depart from either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth for your first stop Singapore! Fly with Singapore Airlines. On arrival be transferred to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure.

Furama River Front, Singapore Meals included: In-Flight

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Singapore Airport for an onward flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival be met and transferred to the hotel for check in. This evening meet the tour group at the hotel and proceed to your welcome seafood dinner with cultural show.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting the group at 9:00am for a transfer to Marina Jetty to board the boat to Sapi Island. Spend the morning exploring the island at leisure before transferring to Manukan island for a BBQ lunch. After lunch enjoy some time to swim and snorkel. This afternoon transfer back to the mainland around 3:30pm and spend the rest of the day free at leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel meet at the hotel lobby at 9:00am and proceed transfer to Mari Mari Cultural Village. The village is located about 25 minutes away from the city. The journey will take in long roads surrounded by a rich spectrum of greenery and overarched by wild blue skies. In the village, the colours of cultural diversity are not an issue but rather a pride, where visitors can savour the soul of Sabah. Upon arrival at the entrance of the village, be ushered to the warmth of different homes of the ethnicities of Sabah. Each home was built by descendants of the tribes they represent and offer a truly genuine experience. Not only does this village portray these tribes through the architectural genius of their traditional house, but also through a range of simulated lives of the olden epoch by the residents of the village. Acquaint yourself with each tribe as they allow you into their house and simple yet intricate lives. While traversing the village, find demonstration huts along the main houses in which daily activities of old times come into life. For example, the making of blowpipe, starting a fire (from bamboo tree – learn the steps of making fire without the help of a lighter), tattoo-making (and its symbolisms) and etc. An unforgettable encounter of the Sabahan homeland. Lunch will be at Mari Mari Cultural Village. This afternoon enjoy a scenic tour of Kota Kinabalu city. See many places of interests in the city centre such as the Wisma Tun Mustapha (Sabah Foundation Building), University Malaysia Sabah, Sabah State and City Mosque and the Sabah Museum for the historical and cultural aspects of the Indigenous people. This evening you will enjoy a visit to the night markets and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Have an early 7:00am breakfast before meeting the tour group at the lobby and bidding farewell to Kota Kinabalu to begin the journey across the north of Borneo Island. Today’s itinerary begins with a visit to Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site. The feature of the park is Mount Kinabalu. An impressive 4,095 metres, it is the second highest mountain in SE Asia. Visit the Exhibit Centre, take a relaxing rainforest walk and in the Mt Garden, view a selection from the 1,200 species of orchids found in the Park. At the Kundasang War Memorial, pay tribute to the Australian and British servicemen killed in the infamous Sandakan Death March of World War II. After lunch, check into the hotel. At around 2:30pm board the bus to proceed to Poring Hot Springs, take time to de-stress and soak away the aches and pains in the spring fed hot mineral water pools at Poring Hot Springs. The more adventurous can tackle the challenge of the Canopy Walk. The series of platforms suspended 41 metres above the forest floor, amidst the lush canopy of the “king of the forest” Menggaris trees, provide an exhilarating experience. Transfer back to the hotel for the night in time for dinner.

Sabah Tea Garden Cottages, Kinabalu Park Meals included: Breakfast;Lunch;Dinner

This morning enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Collect a lunch box and proceed to Sabah Tea Plantation. Visit the tea factory and the Quaily Hill Memorial ground. Afterwards proceed to the Fish SPA at Kg Luanti before the 4-hour drive to Sandakan passing through the amazing countryside and villages. On arrival to Sandakan, visit the Sandakan War Memorial, the World War II tragic tale of the Sandakan Death March is told at the site of the POW camp, from where the marches began. Proceed to the hotel in Sandakan for the night and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon free at leisure, before transferring to an English Tea House for Dinner.

After breakfast, meet the tour group for a trip to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Learn about the magnificent work the Centre staff are doing to help orphaned baby Orangutan's be rehabilitated and prepared for release back to their natural habitats in the wild jungles of Borneo. Be sure to keep a camera close at hand, in readiness for the first close contact with an Orangutan. Observe the Orangutan families and other primates at the feeding platform, then stroll along the board walks to soak up the sights and sounds of the beautiful rainforest environment. Afterwards, take a 5-minute walk to see the remarkable Sun Bears at the Bornean Sun Bear Sanctuary. Enjoy lunch at Lindung Restaurant - the charming English Tea House, high above the city overlooking the Sandakan harbour, before an afternoon tour of Sandakan, visiting the Chinese Temple, St Michael’s Church, Agnes Keith house and a water village. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and dinner the hotel.

Enjoy breakfast this morning “up at sparrows” and off to the Rainforest Discovery Centre. Marvel at the beauty of the Sepilok Rainforest at dawn and immerse yourself in the tree tops, with the 250 bird species and other wildlife, on the canopy walk platform. Keep a look out you may even spot an Orangutan swinging through the trees! Plant lovers will be thrilled by the diversity of native orchids, slipper orchids, pitcher-plants and tropical plants, such as the Venus flytrap, on display in the Centre’s plant discovery garden. Afterwards drive two and a half hours through rustic countryside studded with villages to Sukau on the Kinabatangan River, an area that’s home to 10 species of primates, 8 species of hornbills and a wide variety of other animals and birds. Take a short boat transfer to your lodge for orientation and check-in. Late afternoon river cruise to see the proboscis monkeys and other wildlife along the river bank. This evening, cruise back to the lodge to freshen up for dinner.

Wake up to the calls of tropical birds and wildlife. Take a sunrise cruise at 6:00am up the Kinabatangan River and onto Kelenanap Ox Bow Lake for bird watching. Return to the lodge for breakfast then explore the large limestone Gomantong Cave, famous for its bird’s nests. Walk about fifteen minutes on the boardwalk to the opening of Semut Hitam cavern and explore the cave system. Drive back to the lodge to freshen up for lunch. Time at leisure. This afternoon meet at the lodge for the afternoon tea before embarking for the afternoon cruise on Kinabatangan River to see more of the flora and fauna of the rainforest. This evening cruise back to the lodge to freshen up for dinner.

After breakfast transfer to Sandakan Airport for an internal flight to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival transfer to the hotel for check in. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner at Kudos Restaurant.
