We simply go out and find the best travel deals, feature them on our site and then sell them to our members. If enough of our members get on the deal and it reaches a critical mass in sales then the offer is 'tripped', the payments processed and everyone is a winner. Our merchants get a major boost in customers and our members get a phenomenal deal. Featured deals run for 7 days on our site giving your business plenty of time to be seen by our extensive network of travellers.

In the first instance we will send you new customers at no risk and no upfront cost. With a well structured offer you will get new customers to your door whilst making money AND promoting your business. We all know that word-of-mouth is the most powerful way to get noticed in the travel market and what better way to do that than by getting your target customers to experience your product or services. If you do a good job word will spread fast and your customer base will grow.

We will make an up-front payment of 50% of total sales immediately after your deal has finished. In this way you get the dollars to ensure you can deliver your customer the best experience possible without putting a strain on your own resources. TripADeal has exclusive access to Australia's largest youth travel network. This network includes Peterpans Travel, Backpackers World, Adventure Travel Bugs, Student Uni Travel and Website Travel. Our Audience

Our customers are young (or young at heart) travellers. With a background in backpacker and student travel, our focus is primarily on the 18-40's. This does not mean that people outside this demographic can't be a TripADeal member, it just means that all the travel products on our network are for the more adventurous and independent types. Add to this our affiliation to the Australian student sector and domestic travellers via specially targeted social media campaigns and you have the most cost-effective marketing opportunity available today in the youth travel market.

Getting Paid

We know that talk about marketing opportunities, cash-flow assistance and brand building is of no use if the numbers don't stack up. The dollars have to add up for it to make any sense. The basic aim of TripADeal is to give travellers the opportunity to sample the best travel products in the market for a fraction of the price. The idea being that travel operators can sell excess inventory (extra seats/beds/product) at a discounted price as a form of marketing without devaluing their product in the marketplace. This 'one-off deal' exposes your business to a large cross-section of your target market and if all goes to plan gets the word-of-mouth flowing positively your way. Additionally a lump sum payment is made before the first customer reaches your door.

The payment schedule was developed to deliver best outcomes for operator and traveller. The major percentage is paid upon completion of the selling period with the balance paid monthly according to redeemed vouchers.

• Deal selling period closes - operator paid 50% of total sales (less TripADeal fee) within 7 days
• Redeemed vouchers (entered into merchant account page) are paid on the 1st or 15th of each month.

What happens if the deal isn't tripped?

If a deal doesn't achieve its minimum numbers of subscribers then the deal does not go ahead. In this case all those who have bought the deal are not charged. With bargains like ours this will be very unlikely, but just to make sure tell ALL your friends about any deal you have purchased.

Where is my voucher?

Your voucher is stored under the 'My Deals' tab when you are logged into TripADeal. Click on 'view' to view or print your voucher.

How do I redeem my deal voucher?

The terms and conditions of the deal will be featured on both the 'Deal' page and the purchased voucher in the 'The Fine Print' section. These will outline the validity period, booking procedure and other specific aspects of the deal. In most cases you will be required to contact the business owner and book your travel ahead of time.

Is TripADeal safe to use?

TripADeal uses PayPal for all customer transactions so it is extremely secure. Your credit card details are not stored on our system at all. If you have a PayPal account you can use that to purchase products or you can simply make individual card transactions without an account.

About Us

TripADeal started from a recent conversation between friends about travelling. Having spent the best part of our lives 'on the road' we were always comparing notes about where we had been, what we had seen and where we were going to next. In fact we were so into it that we spent years dreaming up travel related businesses so we could indulge our wanderlust and also earn a living. We've tried it all. From mountain bike tours to surfing safaris, kayak trips to abseiling adventures, backpacker hostels to travel guides-books. It didn't matter what it was, as long as we didn't need to get out of bed and put on a suit.

Around this time the group-buying phenomenon was going mental. Everywhere you looked there were 'unbelievable deals' being offered on everything from bikini waxes to wheel balances. Group discounts meant prices were being slashed and the customers were loving it. You could even buy the odd holiday if you were vigilant, signed up to enough sites and checked your emails every day for that one deal that would be just right for you. Unfortunately they didn't come up as often as you liked. If only there was group-buying site dedicated to travel that had great deals on offer EVERY day.

Cue lightbulb. It took roughly one second for the TripADeal concept to jump between the synapses and register in the logic centre of the brain. A group buying website that was dedicated to travel...now that's a good idea. Of course since that moment, about 6 months ago, the fine staff of the major group buying sites have had exactly the same idea. And fair play to them. It is the perfect application for a group buying concept.

By this stage we were deep into the development phase and decided there was plenty of room in the market for us. The fact we were going head to head with some major corporations didn't bother us. On the contrary we felt we may have an advantage over them - TripADeal would be different to the rest.

Firstly we are from the tourism background and so we know ALL the issues for both travellers and operators when it comes to buying, selling, booking or enjoying travel experiences. We know all your needs/issues as both a customer or an tourism operator. In short we have you covered.

Secondly we are a small operation. We are not, nor do we pretend to be yet another group-buying corporate giant. Here at TripADeal, we promote fun and active living. With our head office in Byron Bay; fun activities, beautiful beaches and ideal holiday destinations are our speciality. Our niche travel and adventure website has been built around this theory. Our staff are young or young at heart and it's these guys who bring the amazing deals to you.
