Day 4: Moscow City Tour – Begin Trans-Siberian Rail Journey (B,L,D)
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out for a morning tour of the city. Join your tour guide for a visit to the Kremlin and Red Square, the head of the Russian State and a treasure house for magnificent relics and monuments of art. Explore this 15th century fortress and cathedrals and the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, before heading to Arbat Street and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
Afterwards relax over lunch in a local restaurant before transferring to the central station where you will board the ‘Imperial Russia’ train, to commence your majestic Trans-Siberian Railway journey.

Day 5: Trans-Siberian Rail Journey – Kazan (RUSSIA) (B,L,D)
Enjoy breakfast on board as you pull into Kazan, the Tartar capital, situated on the banks of the Volga. Spend the morning exploring the city on a guided tour including the ‘Tugan Avalim’ folklaw play, and the local Kremlin. Enjoy a cooking master class and lunch, revealing the secrets of the Tartar cuisine. After lunch head back to your train, and continue your journey through Russia. Dinner this evening will be served onboard/ or at a city restaurant.

Day 6: Trans-Siberian - Yekaterinburg (RUSSIA) (B,L,D)
After breakfast on board, step back in time as you disembark in Yekaterinburg, a city dedicated to the last days of the Russian Tsar. As part of the excursion you will see the Church on Blood erected to commemorate a tragic historical event. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant before heading to the memorial built at the boundary of two continents (Europe and Asia) for a photo opportunity not to be missed. Relax on board as you head further east and watch the landscape change as you move through Russia. Join new friends for dinner on board.

Breakfast is on the move today as you head into Novosibrisk for a day of sightseeing and exploration. This region is full of history and unique Siberian architectural monuments and nature. Visit the impressive Railway museum, Ballet and Opera House, and the picturesque Ob river esplanade. Lunch and Dinner will be served in town, before boarding your train late this evening in time to head for your next exploration.

Explore the de facto capital of Eastern Siberia and by far the most popular stop on the Trans-Siberian. Tour the historical city centre including a visit to the Decembrists’ Museum, the “wooden lace” house, also called the “House of Europe”, the most beautiful and amazing streets of the city — Bolshaya Prospektnaya, today known as Karl Marx street. Visit the Taltsy Museum of Architecture and Ethnography located on the banks of the Angara River before free time for the rest of the afternoon at the 130 Quarter — Irkutskaya Sloboda, a quarter with reconstructed city buildings of the 19-20 c.

Day 10: Trans-Siberian Rail Journey - Lake Baikal (RUSSIA) (B,L,D)
A short overnight journey brings you to Lake Baikal today. No ordinary lake, Baikal is the deepest lake in the world (1,632m), holding the largest volume of fresh water (23,000cubic km), is 640km long and home to 27 islands. Join a cruise to Listvyanka and the observation deck at Chersky Stone with stunning views of the southern part of the lake and the source of the Angara River is one of the most favorite places for tourists and photographers.
Visit the Baikal Museum enjoy lunch and then head to a local fish and souvenir market before returning to Port Baikal. Dinner this evening will be a picnic on the banks of the lake.

Day 11: Trans-Siberian Rail Journey - Ulan-Ude (RUSSIA) (B,L,D)
One of Eastern Siberia’s most likeable cities. The Buryat capital of Ulan-Ude is a refreshingly exotic change from the Russian cities before. Visit Ivolginsky Datsan (Buddhist monastery) before a cultural experience like no other. Join a local family to learn their ways of living, and experience a Yurt and a folklore program. Learn how to cook the traditional Buryat dish pozy, how to play dice, use a bow and have the chance to wear a traditional Buryat costume. Dinner will be served onboard this evening.

Day 12: Trans-Siberian Rail Journey – Ulaanbaatar (MONGOLIA) (B,L,D)
Step off the train today in Ulaanbaatar, where you will enjoy a city tour, including a visit to the main square and Zaisan, then head to the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, for your afternoon and overnight your unique accommodation - a Yurt. After lunch take an excursion to Turtle Rock and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding area. For the energetic, join a hiking tour to the top of overlooking hill to have a general view of the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.
Visit a nomadic family and be introduced to the authentic lifestyle and culture of Mongolian nomads and try traditional dairy food. Mongolians are famous for their horsemanship! Why not take an hour horse ride with them (Horse riding optional).
After dinner explore the night sky.

Say farewell to your camp as you head back to Ulaanbaatar and continue to explore, visiting the Gandan Monastery, Mongolian Natural History Museum and Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan. Lunch today is a traditional Mongolian BBQ followed by a local folkshow. Afterwards stare into the sunset with dinner on board.
